Battery all day and some - Moto 360

Folks,
I wanted to share my battery experience with everyone. I wanted to buy this watch so bad, despite what everyone said about the battery life . I have to say im very impressed!!!! I also believe people are so needy and noting in this world would make them happy enough. The world is not perfect.
Okay here is how it goes. i wake up every morning at 830AM and go to sleep every night by 1 AM give or take. i use my watch all day ( reply to text, messages, hangouts, notifications) and have around 30-40% battery left by 1130PM. here is how i charge my battery.
1/ 1130Pm i place my watch on the charger, by the time i go to bed at 12 or so the battery is charged to 100%
2/ at 100% charge i remove the watch from the charger and turn it off
3/ turn it on in the morning and keep on moving.
Note: i keep my brightness at (1) and i have my ambient lights OFF
ONE more note: i use facer app and have still no battery problem
so if you really looking for battery battery life than this, you are a person hard to make happy
Good luck

Awesome. I just received mine on the mail. Looking forward to it!

Battery Life on IIs

Hey what have you guys n' gals been getting off your XDA IIs for battery life. I am away from home just for one night this week, and have forgotten my charger (Must get a sync n charge...but where!!!!) I'm only using PDA functions and Duality Email....and battery is already at 83%
Will it last 48hrs!!!!! We'll wait and see!
Celtic
Figures quoted from sourceo2.com
Standby/PDA/Recover/Talk: 168/17/72/4
Obviously using it as a PDA does use more battery life.
With my phone 'off' (well pda bit off) and WiFi off, over a 12 hour period of inactivity I'll use maybe 5% of battery, so when it comes to bed time your battery use will reduce.
if you're away from chargers I'd advise keeping wifi off, it's the battery eater portion of the functionality. a little light GPRSing shouldnt hurt if you need email, bluetooth isnt a big issue, but if you need to last 48hrs, dont touch the WiFi
Also I have noticed that my battery goes from 100-95% REALLY quick (like 10 mins with only BT on), but then takes maybe 30 minutes of wifi browsing to use a similar 5% in the 50% range!?!? non-linear battery consumption maybe? Might be just mine.

I've noticed the same but, conversely, when charging, it takes longer to charge the last five percent than the rest. So, I put it down to the Battery monitor API. These things are never 100% accurate.
As for battery life, two days from normal useage and three and a bit days if I'm careful. I have no problems going for a long weekend and not taking the charger as long as I have no plans to use it intensively.
I find reading an ebook with mobipocket also kills the battery at about 10% for every hour and nearly treble that if I'm listening to music at the same time.
1 Day, its usually down to < 30% come time to goto bed. But then, it gets well used.
So, the question has to be asked..... Who has the charger by the bed?
/me raises hand.
Sync cradle is at work... which charges too.

Battery Life on XDA
If you turn ON flight mode you will find battery life will improve but you will not receive "always on emails".I've got a feeling the phone wont work either (i don't use mine as a phone so not sure).I know when you turn flight mode off again you will have to enter PIN no.
I used this method when I was in hospital for a night and they would not let me charge my XDA.
yeah : flight mode = turning off the phone part
I have a brodit cradle in the car , charges it extra while commuting
As default when you get the phone, it will ask for a pin number. This can be disabled though through the software!
Flight mode will of course save battery - like said - its not using the phone functions which are probably the most battery draining.
I have to use my charger twice a day but i do cain it as my job is so ****ing boring! i hope to god someone invents a....
Solar panel charger
so i can go campin in wales on ma scooter and not need to sneak my phone into the pubs wall plugs all the time
I have a brand new M2000.
I took it off charge at 08:00 this morning.
I got to work at 09:30 and started using it.
I had bluetooth on with headset and I was using wifi on and off.
I started getting low battery warnings at 15:00.
That is very poor
I have BT on and can run from Thursday night through till Sunday without a problem. Though I do get worried about making calls on the Sunday. If anyone has a description of how to convert an XDA car cable to XDAIIs I would be gratefull.

3200 mah battery performance

I dunno if this is the right place to post, but, could anyone tell me how long does the 3200 mah charge last on a full use? is it only a day? or 2? cause mine only lasts for one whole day, this is only texting, so please help me, so i know if it is the battery problem or mine, and how long does it take to charge it? please help me with the details so I could determine if my battery is at fault, it is still brand new so maybe i have to calibrate it? go through the charge discharge cycles? I have seen posts that say it could last up to 6 days, but mine went from 100% 17% in just one day and only texting 30 mins mp3, I charged it but it only charged for 3 hours, then it was full, the charging indicator turned green, should i still keep it charging for the charge discharge cycle? if so, how long do I have to keep it charging after the indicator goes to green.
Please help me cause I am lost and am having problems with my battery, the original one, lasts almost the same length with the same activity. thank you
Hope this helps:

If not consider to buy a new one, they are cheap!
And I would strongly recommend to buy the original sized one as Uni is big enough to increase it´s weight and measures
Better to carry a spare one!!
my 3200 battery will last about 6hrs of constant use (that is backlight always on and constantly using the Uni for doing something - eg, typing). This is with wifi and BT off. This is about average. Of course, most people don't use their PDA this way under normal conditions!
thanks for the feedback, but my uni does not last that long, it almost does not last a full length movie, so I am worried about my device, is it the battery's problem or the device's? I think that it should last up to 2 movies, right? is it also because of the rom? because, what happens is, eveytime that I watch movies, the battery indicator goes down and then when the uni rests after that it goes back up by a certain percentage, say for example...
watch movie battery goes down to 55% after that the uni rests, as in standby only no activity and only sits on the table, it goes back to 60% any takes on this? it is weird, right? I hope someone could shed some light into this. thanks again

Battery Saver Mode Experiences

Hows the battery life you guys are experiencing with the mango update in general with and without battery saver mode on
is battery saver mode making a big difference?
im using battery saver for when the battery gets low and im noticing a bit of a stretch of extra battery life on my htc trophy (verizon)
when u turn battery saver mode on doesnt that disable notifications push and toast?
i know i havent tried the battery saver mode on the whole day to notice any difference just wanted to see if anybody else has yet and what kinda life are u getting on battery saver mode on all the time and when the battery gets low
well for the one day that I left my charger at home by accident when going to school I turned on battery saver mode and was able to make it through the entire day with my normal use habits with about 30% remaining once I got home. this was when I was on 7712 haven't done this on the official yet.
My 7720 experience was pretty horrid with battery life until I got the Samsung update on Tuesday. I went from barely making it 10-12 hours on a charge to 18-24 hours. I can get up to 1.5 hours with battery saver turned on.
For the first couple of days, I left my status set to "online" the entire day, and my battery barely lasted through the day (around 15 hours). Battery saver mode came on after about 13 hours, or it wouldn't have lasted.
Today I set myself to offline, and last time I checked it (after around 8 hours of normal use), it showed 80%. So it seems pretty clear to me that overall, Mango battery life is very good, but keeping yourself online is a killer.

Battery saver mode works pretty well for me... I love it... Thank god its inbuilt and I didn't had to download another one dollar application to do this thing.. Things like this should be inbuilt .. Also adding additional tile shortcuts of any kind we want..

Haven't tried it. Battery life went down noticeably but I have chargers everywhere. I stay online all day. If I wasn't online in message hub I'd be online in some other app so why not. On Android my gtalk is always on as well. Don't see this phone lasting a day for me with or without battery saver, lol.

I'm still debating about staying online all day. Most of the people I chat with on Facebook are online in the evening, but not so much during the day.
But I love the battery saver option. When I was online all day, and it did kick in toward the end of the day, I observed the battery usage drop to a mere trickle (it only lost around 1-2% per hour after that). So, without having to change anything, I can be assured that my phone will still be available in an emergency.
at full charge my venue pro shows me around 3 days and 18 or so hrs...with battery saver i get 3 more added...best part is i play music moderately, use the radio, wifi on all the time and at the days end it stil shows around 2 days and 12 hrs or so time left....is somthing wrong cos when i first bought the phone, 15 hours was the maximum i got for the phone.....
plug in charge usb messenging hub locks up
has anybody had this happen?
when your phone is in battery saver mode and you plug it in it becomes unresponsive and kind of locks up. messages and emails don't send or receive.
only way it ever happens for me:
if i was in a message and i plug into usb computer or wall outlet power the phone cant switch back from a message to the list of messages, i cant send the message that is typed, i cant type, and no messages are received (or show up after a reset) i can go back home but every time i try to do something it says loading and closeshas happened for a year now
Battery life for me in Mango and 8107 (or whatever the latest update is called) has been pretty awful. I recently did a hard reset.
Post hard reset, a full charge would say 1D 4hours or something
After a few weeks, a full charge now says 18 hours, but lasts considerably less.
By noon my phone is at 50%, if I don't charge it, it hits battery saver mode by the time I leave (6pm). That's with taking it off the charger at 7am, and barely using it. Pretty horrible.
I'm seriously considering a BlackBerry. WP is great and all, but it's just not built for business use. And I need a battery that can last more than 10 minutes.

Sounds like you have a bad battery. My titan is at about 72% after an 8 hour day with lots of email use and some browsing / texting through the day. (i check 7 email account and exchange and hotmail are both push) Currently at 10pm mine still says 52% and estimates 10 more hours use. Now if i were to play a game for an hour or more i'd probably kill it but for browsing and more business like use... it can't be beat. My old surround lasts about 16 hours with wifi on unless my wife games it to death.

How I solved my battery consumption

Hello,
I´ve got my ZenWatch 1 week ago and am very happy with this beautiful gadget. But there is/was one thing that disturbed my daily enjoyment:
The battery life.
After a normal 14 hours day the battery dropped from 100% to 10-15%. I use the always on feature and had round about 3-6 notifications per hour. Also I´ve toggled the connection to my phone (OnePlusOne) on all time.
And after 2 days I started trying to get a better battery life without disabling every nice feature (Must have is the always on feature and I need my notifications).
I tracked every full hour the current battery status and changed on a daily basis the configuration and the watch faces to find the best way between battery consumption and a normal usage.
My results are:
The most battery eater is the connection to my phone inclusivly the notifications and watchface-updates like weather etc.
I solved this problem, using Tasker on my phone, enabling BT every hour for 1 minute to let the notifications fly to my watch automatically. That saved 30-50% battery life the day!!!!
Also I do use a watch face supporting the Low-Bit-Feature, which "turns off" black pixels in dimmode. Battery safer! (10%-30%)
Today my setting is this:
Watchface: Watch Face - Minimal & Elegant
BT on every 1 hour for 1 minute to get notifications
Screen is always on
tilt to wake is off
And today after 14 hours normal usage I´ve unbelivable 64% of my battery (never charged!).
I hoped I could help you!
P.s. this was my first thread!
watch comes of the charger at 6am and when it goes back on at around 11pm I'm generally at 35-40% battery. I've got the screen in always on mode with tilt to wake on, and a facer watch face that updates weather. I'd say I get 30-50 notifications in a day so I'm not sure why your battery is so bad

The thing that would bug me about that would be the "no connection" icon showing on the watch face most of the time. I don't suppose there's anything you can do to suppress that, is there?

I have not found a solution for that.

I've never had issues with battery life. If I wear it all day and leave it off of the charger at night, I will wake up with 25-30% battery power left.
There must have been different batteries used in manufacturing. I've never had great battery life, if I leave the always on, brightness to 3 I can get through the day to about 9 pm before it dies if I don't use it for much of anything else except notifications. Since it's summertime I now leave the screen off, brightness to full so that I can actually see the screen in the sunlight. That usually makes quite a bit of difference.
Too great of a difference between half that says they have great battery life and half that says that theirs is horrible. I think there was a manufacturing flaw. I contacted ASUS and they said that if I was able to get 16 hours out a charge it was good enough.
I don't recall getting 16 since I first got mine...this morning it came off the charger at 3:30am - always on with dim watch maker face that one of our members created but I altered a tad, brightness to a 3. there really isn't much I can do with the watch beside check notifications including text messages (so the Bluetooth off 1min on wouldn't work for me). by this afternoon 2:30pm watch was completely dead and off. also since the latest update it disconnects from my phone frequently and when the watch is disconnected I often get the white screen asking if I want to wait or tap ok because its been disconnected. not as happy as I once was with my watch,

Battery drops as soon as fully charged

If I have had my Note 10+ on charge all night, as soon as I disconnect it from the charger the next morning the battery drops down to 98% within the first few minutes without me using it.
It seems to last ok the rest of the day as I have around 60% left after 4h sot. I know it's not a big deal but my Mate 20 Pro would sit on 100% for the first couple of hours. It's probably just psychological, but it feels like it lasts longer when it doesn't drop so quickly.
I guess my slight OCD isn't helping which is why I always turn off the battery % in the settings so I can't see what it is, but with the Note, even if you turn it off you still see it every time you pull down the notification panel.
The battery calibration is just a bit off. My recommendation would be to ignore it.
A factory reset should reset the battery statistics.
Battery seems pretty good so far.

That's Android 9. I'm guessing you haven't upgraded to Android 10 yet? Wonder how's the battery on that
My battery percentage is similar. By the time I get off the pot in the morning, it reads 98%, that's generally anywhere 2-15 minutes in my estimation.
Mine too, I consider it as normal, the rest of the batt lasts as expected
Same here. But rest of the day Usage and percentages are still pretty good.

this is normal because samsung implemented a new measure of battery security and not let the phone to mantain full charge for a long period of time ,
