No call audio!!! - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This is driving me crazy. I bought the LG G3 about two months ago and a month in i dropped it and the screen broke. I had to wait three weeks for them to repair it because they ****ed up and I just got it back today and behold, I can't hear when people call me. They can hear me and I can hear them on both speaker and with headsets. There is no buzzing or anything like that, just no audio. The speakers work fine with everything else.
Before you answer, No, it's not on mute, yes I checked all the settings to make sure everything was like it should be and I even reset it to factory settings. Please help someone, i'm pissed of to no end and I would love whoever helped me fix this. I really dont feel like waiting another three god damn weeks for my phone back seeing how I've had it for not even a day now.

I had the same problem. Never dropped mine though. On hindsight, I recall a few people stating I was difficult to hear and vice versa up to a week before I ran into the same thing as you. Suddenly (as of last Friday, I lost all audio through the earpiece (speakerphone and BT were all that worked). I went in to a TMO store Friday afternoon and am happy to say I got my warranty replacement this afternoon. So far all is OK.
The whole thing was really disappointing. I had just gotten the phone as of 8/12

suddenly no one can hear me

I have been using the touch pro 2 (tmobile) for 2 months, ive never dropped my phone and i have no damage to it, for some reason no one can hear me on my phone calls, its lie the microphone is going bad.
Has this happened to anyone else?
i know im a newbe before you say it, just wanted to know if there is a fix or something.
I had hte same issue last week wiht my Tilt 2
I had the same problem last week with my ATT Tilt 2. I had installed the 2 HTC updates and a call recorder (resco) program. Not sure if related, but shortly thereafter no one could hear me. I had to reboot the phone for my mic to work for the next call or two. then after a day or two my phone froze completely on a reboot. Pulled the battery and still frozen. Had to do a hard reset and reinstall and retweak ( a real pain in the ...). I did not reinstall the 2 HTC official updates or the call recording software. So far over the last 2 to 3 days the phone seems to work fine. Mine is about 2 months old. If it happens again I will be asking for a replacement from ATT. Sorry not a solution but I feel your pain.

Yes.. the phone did this with a 100% stock setup, no additional software installed. Though, my problem might be a little different: people could hear me for the first 10 seconds of the call, and then they couldn't. I could hear them plainly saying "are you there.. hello?" and I'd be on the other end yelling "yes, I can hear you" with no answer.. if they waited another 10-15 seconds without hanging up, they could hear me again. I tried every radio available and this problem occurred whether I had full signal or not. My Kaiser performed perfectly in the same areas.. so AT&T and I concluded it was defective phone and they overnighted me one that has worked perfectly.

[Q] VZ GNex speaker stopped working

hello all...
i'm looking for some help. a couple of days ago my VZ's GNex speaker stopped working. it occured on my way home. my son was watching a cartoon on YouTube and the audio was streaming through my cars head unit via BT. everything was fine. when i turned the car off...the audio didnt transfer to the speaker...as it usually does.
since then...no notification sounds...no ringtones...NOTHING!!!
my headphone jack works fine. my earpiece (for listening to calls) works fine. the phone is ok...except for the speaker.
i am on CM9 running Francos Kernel.
i pulled the battery and rebooted. nothing. i relouded an back up (one that i knew everything was fine)...NOTHING!! i played with every single setting i know...nothing!!
my question is. is it hardware or software? and how do i find out. if its software...then maybe i can fix it...but if its hardware...i think i am going to need a new phone.
any body else encounter this problem? any fixes??
thanks!
so a quick update:
i started all over...went back to 4.02 using the GNex ToolKit...NOTHING!!!
speaker is still not working!!!
so i guess i'm going to head into a VZ store today...
alright...so here is my final status.
i called VZ last night and explain the situation. they transferred me to Asurion, who basically didnt do anything for me. except try to get 100 bucks from me to get a replacement. so after 30mins of a heated conversation...they basically said...we cant do anything...so go talk to VZ.
so i called VZ...and they transferred to Tech Support. and after a 30 second conversation (with the best tech support guy EVER!!) he said...we'll be sending you a replacement phone. should be here tomorrow.
i know that doesnt fix the issue...but i guess its a manufacturer defect...
long story short...i'm getting a new phone tomorrow to fix my speaker issue...

people on other end of call cant hear me

So ive had two occasions since Wednesday where the person I'm speaking to isn't able to hear me anymore as im holding the phone. I can hear them just fine as they state askingg ifi could hear them. appened once before root and once again after. I checked to make sure that the mute buttosn't pressed both times and it wasnt.
Is this happening to anyone else?
This happened to me as well and when I lightly flicked where the mic is located it started working but after I restarted the phone it woulf stop working and no one could hear me. I just ended up exchanging it for another one and I no longer have the problem. Could be a defective phon so exchange it while you can!!
Sent from my SM-N900T now Free
damn i wonder if this is a widespread problem.
you were able to just walk into tmobile and get a new one? i wonder if they're even in stock anymore where my store is.
i guess i have to flash back to the stock rom. will tmobile give me a hard time that it's been rooted?

HTC One M8 Weird issues recarding Microphone, calling people etc.

So ill try to keep this short.
Not so long ago i found out that when i call or someone calls me People cannot hear me. I came to the conclusion that my microphone just simply died out. When i try to record myself with the voice recorder all i hear is random annoying noise. But if i like slap the phone or scream loud enough i will eventually hear myself. To bypass this issue i had to use earphones which isnt a problem at all i prefer that honestly.
3 Days ago i was trying to call my Dad and he couldnt hear me at all. It was strange because i had my earphones on me. I didnt care of it that day so fast forward today i remembered that it didnt work by talking so i tested it with my brothers phone. Heres the weird part. When i dont have any earphones on and just try to talk straight up I can now hear MYSELF talking. Like whatever i say will just get back through my phone.
Then i got the idea to try out speakers instead. And this is where it got even more weird, almost scary. Here's the video of my brother recording my phone doing some strange noises after talking(TURN DOWN THE VOLUME A BIT): https://streamable.com/iwni0
At this point i have no clue as to why this is happening, where it even came from, anything at all. Im out of ideas. Nobody else as far as my research goes seems to have this issue. I'd appreciate any type of help.
Previously i was on ARHD 45.0 and earlier today i figured i'd try 53.1 again but no luck.

In/Out call issues

Hi,
Since I bought this phone I have (randomly) problems in out and in calls.
The other day, I had a phone interview (that I couldn't hear anything because of it) so I decided to do something.
It could be in every call, the sound suddenly sound like the volume decreases to almost 0 and like I lost my signal together.
During those calls I'm with full 4G signal and now with Feb patch (the same issue was with January patch).
Is that a familiar issue?
I'm very frustrated that my $900 flagship can't do (almost) any calls.
No, not heard of this one before. Have you contacted Google for assistance?
sounds like an escort issue

I've had call issues as well. Many times I've made a call that actually went through... But I couldn't hear a ring or the other person, and they couldn't hear me. I've been trying several things to track down the issue. I'm thinking it may have something to do with wearing a smartwatch....
The watch is somehow intercepting the call. I have a Samsung Gear S3

Hey y'all, just for the record unfortunately the other day I had to RMA mine because all of the sudden no matter what I tried the other person couldn't hear me unless I put my mouth right up against the mic. I tried the latest factory image and restored to like new condition and everything else I could think of but the problem still persist.

I've had similar problems, google support was useless and just want to RMA to device every time. Um, how about you actually look at the code guys?
