I had the exact same issue. It was stuck at sboot.bin (using odin3.09). I just attempted to run it under odin3.07, and it has made it past sboot, and is currently on system.img
I have a sprint Note2 (SPH-L900)
hope it helps

is the stock rom you are flashing is for your specific variant of note. make sure of that.
have you done the things you have to do before flashing, like enabling debugging mode in the developer options?
run odin with administrator

The issue you are having has nothing to do with KNOX.
What I would do is to uninstall all samsung drivers as
well as kies from your computer.
Then reboot the computer and install the latest Samsung usb drivers.
Here is the direct download link for the samsung usb drivers:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/k7ut088zsc5g0un/Samsung USB Drivers.zip
Good luck!

Try using a different usb port and/or cable, that has helped me in the past with random flash failures, both through ODIN and fastboot (for nexus devices).

[Q] Can't ODIN.. please help

Hi guys,
so I've got a Note 2 UK version, which had problems upgrading (had a stock rom).
I so decided to ODIN a new stock rom (4.4.2 UK from SamMobile), which I failed.
It was good until the very last bit - it failed on flashing modem.bin.
I've tried re-downloading the rom, re-booting the phone, and everything I could find to do, but they were all no good.

I've also tried flashing only modem.bin alone, which didn't work, so i guess it's the problem with flashing modem.bin.
Btw, I've tried both ODIN v1.85 and v3,04.
Not sure if this will have an effect, but the sim card doesn't read, so I was thinking that the sim card tray has a problem.
I ordered one to replace it - again, not sure if this makes any difference.
It's now stuck on 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.' screen.
I can go into download mode, but nothing else.
Please help!
Thanks

[Q] Cant flash PhilzTouch Recovery

The whole procedure goes to plan, and I get the message "PASS" in ODIN
Following the instructions here... http://www.theandroidsoul.com/samsu...wifi-philz-touch-advanced-cwm-recovery-53562/
When when I boot in to recovery, I think it's just a standard recovery, not Philz. i.e. It looks pretty basic, and wont let me flash a non-sogned zip file.
Is this only achievable on a previous samsung ROM? Or am I making some other mistake?
Here is the result from ODIN..

solved - i found another room from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/confirm/41671/L710VPUDNJ2_L710SPRDNJ2_SPR/ that worked with no issue

The ROM that it ships on from FreedomPop is pretty much the Stock Sprint ROM with minor changes. You can just uninstall/disable the applications mentioned.
You should follow the instructions here if you want to use ODIN and flash the unmodified Stock Sprint ROM.
EDIT: Oops missed the second post
I just used TWRP. I've never used Odin.
