Bricked lg g3 & flashtool not working - T-Mobile LG G3

I have the tmobile lg g3 and i soft bricked, or maybe i hard bricked it, idk all i know is that its stuck on the lg logo screen. I tried using the lg flashtool but it doesnt work. After i press the yellow arrow and unplug and replug, everything goes as it should for about 15 seconds, then it says
"can't change to download mode"
i changed the port to com41, i have the proper drivers and all, i even tried switching around the usb ports, no good. someone please help

Reposting over and over will not help and will also annoy the mods who have to clean it up.
AWESOME G3

I can only imagine how bad that sucks right now. The key is not to panic and angry the guys in charge of the one place that can help you with this. My advice would be to search and read everything you can about the issue and what others have experienced. I guarantee you are not the only one this has happened to and someone will have posted a walkthrough on what worked for them. Try them all till it works. If you are still having issues, post details on what happened to get it to this point. The more info we have the better we can try to help. Turn this into an opportunity to learn.

My D810 can not work

I down a rom from here and flash my D810, after flash, ever thing ok. Then I installed a Chinese language pack. After installed, the two function key can not work. I think was the Chinese Language pack problem. So I uninstalled it. Now is the problem coming. My D810 can not start. Only stay in start logo. Hardreset also not work. Can not go to bootloader. Now what can i do. Please help me, thanks~~~~~
Hi there.
Switch off your phone and switch it back on pressing power and camera buttons together. This should lead you to Hard-SPL "Menu". After the appearance of a multi-color screen, you are able to connect your phone to a computer and install a new ROM.
My advice is to try the original HTC Rom, which can be found on Original Roms Post. This should let you test default factory configuration and validate if the problem has something to do with the keyboard or just the ROM.
Thank you for your reply. But the big problem is I can not go to the multi-screen color. I try it many time. I think my D810 end.

Never End... (Hopefully)
Could it be that one of your buttons is not pressing all the way? I've had trouble lately getting a couple of my buttons to press. Try pressing just a "Little" harder taking care not to break anything.
And just to confirm: You are holding down 'Power', 'Camera', and then pressing and releasing 'Reset'? I'm sure you are, I just wanted to confirm.
I do this many many time, just stay in start logo and the key are no response
I was hoping to help you on the cheapest way... The other one, is disassemble it... Check Dimanto's guide, which i can confirm, is good. Just did it step-by-step and it is perfect...
Dimanto's Guide to disassemble Trinity
if what SuperSport was suggesting is not valid (keys got stuck) maybe you have a MoBo problem if it's only a keyboard, it's cheap enough to repair, i hope...
Something I had not thought about previously... Have you tried to remove the Battery for about 30 Seconds to see if it will reset?
I not yet try this, after try this, I report to you, thx~~
I think can not disassemble it, it is to difficult for me, any way thank you very much.

If you decide not to try to fix it, don't throw it away. I'm sure people on here would be willing to buy it to try to fix it, or for parts.
If you want to try to remove the battery, you need to slide the back plate up. It does take a little force if you've never done it before. Use your thumbs and push it up.
Edit: Place your thumbs where the large circles are in the attached image and press up towards the camera lense, sliding the backplate up.
Good luck.
I removed the battery around 20 hours, the answer is same. Still stay in start logo.
I didn't throw it away, i want to fit it. I like this phone very much. I hope it alive again, thanks~~

I'm sorry that none of the simple things have worked. It sounds as though pjvieira might be right. It may be a hardware issue. Hopefully just the buttons, but maybe the motherboard. pjvieira's suggestions would be the next thing to try.
Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

I know this might sound weird but I had the vibration in my EVO start to get weaker and then stop altogether. Turns out the little spinning vibrating motor got jammed.
I fixed it by standing on my bed, holding my phone parallel to the ground, screen facing the ceiling and dropping it from about 3 feet onto a pillow. The jolt kick-started my haptic feedback back to life! Test it by holding the Vol Down button until your phone enters vibrate-only mode.
Hope that does it!

[Q] Think I brok't it.

Soo. I think I bricked my Epic 4g Touch. When going to turn it on, I get nothing but the blue LED. I automatically assumed this is bricked, and start researching on how to potentially fix it. I read USB Jig, and Jtag, etc etc.
Story: Was on MIJJz ICS Blend. Reverted to Stock EL29 W/ CWM via Odin. I haven't even flashed that many ROMs, aside from MIJJZ ICS Blend updates. Went to flash AOKP Build30, upon booting I get a yellow triangle. After letting AOKP settle for a few, I noticed I had no data. So I went to Restore from backup, (Which is what caused the issue I've noticed AFTER research). Now I have nothing but a blue LED.
Question is: Will the USB Jig work for this type of brick? I've read sometimes it will, sometimes it wont.
Or will I have to send it off for a JTag. Any help is highly appreciated.
_EDIT_ No, I can not get into download mode, or recovery. My screen shows no activity.
From what I have read you are bricked. I would take it to a sprint store with a repair center and play stupid. Just say you were talking on the phone, it got really hot so you pulled the battery and when you tried to turn it back on this is what happened. Something along those lines. Make sure you take it to a sprint with a repair center or they will want to send it to Samsung which will probably take at least a week.

Honestly if you can't do either its a no brainer unfortunately but question did you go into recovery and try and restore data or from an app?
Edit: Dont take this the wrong way but at this point with the million threads out there about this your choices are quite clear and with a search you they are also all defined for you but I will help as best I can
1. Go to Sprint(repair shop) play stupid.. Oh I took the OTA and I got this or I woke up restarted my phone and I only have a blue light... - I hear those are a couple of the good ones
2. Try Jtag service but from what I hear it has not worked for anyone... Research this or contact them yourself they are on xda
3. Get another phone through Ins, Ebay or Craigslist
4. Send phone back to Samsung as some have done for repairs
All these answers were found in this lovely place we call xda and done by just casually reading a few threads to keep myself informed on my $500 equipment.
Good luck man...

Well then I would wait it out by taking the battery out of your phone and waiting for a while then plug it back in and try again. Honestly it should not get the blue light just by doing that. Also ask on here if anybody in your area but have a USB jig to see if you can be jump started into download mode. Your case sounds different if you say you only restored data from an app(right)?
Does your pc respond when you plug it in
No, PC Doesn't recognize it. And I was doing a complete restore from backup
If you are on windows, go to mellowdev.net and download Mango Tools. You may push roms / files directly to your device and perform many other adb commands all via a nice interface. If for some reason this does not work please contact me and I will be glad to help more. (This will work on any android device.)

Sorry for the crazy questions but did you use GB recovery or ICS. Did you odin a recovery before restoring or did you try and restore straight from AOKP Build30 recovery. If you tried to restore from AOKP recovery thats where it all went bad for you

Does a USB Jig hold any hope? Oh nah your last answer solidified it for me.... It's a wrap! Call up Samsung and give them a song and dance. It may be your only hope at this point. Unless some new stuff is happening or the guy that posted a link above has a process that will work
Pft, that URL doesn't show anything, nor does google.
Well..... Thanks for all the help. I appreciate it, and I suppose I'll be moving on to a new section of the forum, as always. lol. Thanks again.
Restoring from ICS is a no no =( sorry broski
Ya, thats what I figured as soon as it happened. I just wanted to double check with the fine members of XDA. I'm over it. On to the next device. I'm gonna try and hold out for the SGS3. If I can wait that long. I didn't pay much for the Epic 4G Touch anyway, and I'm not under contract, so it is what it is..
Thanks though, everyone that helped or considered helping, lol.

Jtag did work for me when I had the blue led of death. The problems Jtag has with are the ones not recognizing the emmc. Email them and describe what happened. They're good at letting you know beforehand if it can be saved.

Yeah man, it's a help forum tho, no need to be so condescending to people just trying to get specific answers.
Jtag is probably gonna be your best bet at this point, given you didn't fry the emmc. Which is a 50/50 chance on that one, mobile Odin is the best and easiest way to do anything recovery related from ICS especially the AOSP versions(cm9, codename, AOkP). Trust me $5 is definitely worth not killing a $500 device. I keep a copy of the apk and an el26+cwm tar on my SD card and on my PC incase I delete my SD card or need to format it. It takes about the same amount of time to mOdin the kernel+recovery as it does to boot into recovery, about 30secs to flash when it reboots either press and hold volume up or pull the battery and press volume up + power if u miss the volume on reboot. Then from that recovery you can do anything you need safely.

LG G4-NOTHING works!

Hi everybody, first I want to thank all devs for their work! It's greatly appreciated, Thank you!
Alrighty then I have the USCC LG G4 running or was running US99122a. Three days ago it's started to restart when ever it wanted to no matter what the battery level was at, plugged in or not just up and restart, then very shortly after it would restart with in the very first minute of being fully booted. Then shortly after that it just went into a bootloop and is now stuck on the LG screen. I have tried everything that I can find on the internet with absolutely no success of any sort. Ive went in to reset mode using voldown+power and when say yes to final warning it just stays on that screen like its frozen then eventually reboots back to being stuck on LG screen. LGUP does not work, it doesnt find it's model number. it knows what com and us99122a but unknown for model. Lg flashtool stops at 9% during s/w upgrade and either says lost connection with server OR needs/ask administrator permission (something like that but meaning the same thing) I've read that when it does don't disconnect don't do anything and after 15 to hour later presto good to go but no, no presto. I decided to ask you guys after leaving it like that for little more then 24 hours now. I need serious help as I cant afford another phone and my g4 was everything. Internet, tv, movies, work, research literally everything through miracast PLEASE HELP and thank you!
Only fix for that is a board replacement or warranty. Google LG G4 bootloop it's a common and known issue.

little update for ya after trying LG UP and another LG software install pc program and 2 other android firmware versions all it would do is freeze at 9% then nothing no matter what i tried OTHER than finally getting hard bricked. (pc said when connected corrupted device not recognizing it) So I am now a firm believer in and advise to others with this problem if you're able to get it replaced through LG do it cause that is the only fix. Even tho I could of had replaced I didnt do that, instead I grabbed my 30-30 deer hunting rifle and blasted one lonely hole!!, Yes a hole and I tell you what the screen on the G4 is superb ! besides immediately around the bullet hole it didnt even spiderweb. id say 65-70% of the screen was still crack free!! no joke!

As the title suggests, my screen is inoperable but I can hear notifications come through, so it's booting up. Any way to get unbacked data off of it?

I'd say plug it in to the computer and try getting into the phone.. You might have to tap on the screen even though it's broken it could probably still accept touch and you'll need to try to tap "ok" in order to get access or you'll have to try to use smart switch app to try.
The screen is unresponsive, I can't even try to guess where the buttons are to enter the pin

Your best bet is try to find a screen then.. I had that problem 1 time in my life and I found a screen on Ebay that was cracked pretty badly but it still worked and it allowed me to at least connect it and get my stuff transferred.. You should also check your gmail account because the Google account you have a lot of the phones backup themselves automatically and you might be able to get it back onto another phone.
