Please recommend me Telephone related apps - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps

Request
Can you please indicate me about cool apps, which improve the phone use experience.
I don't know exactly what I want, there are so many posibilities whit android, I'm sure there must be a lot of cool and/or useful apps. Like recording the call, something that changes the voice, or anything useful, funny, or even weird
Thanks!

Go to Play Store and type in the search bar the application that you want. It will give you multiple apps to choose from related to your search.
Only yourself can know what app you really like to install on your phone.

I mean, telephone call related apps, not apps en general. Most of all, I've seen apps for record the call, but is there some cool app that can replace the original, or automate something using the hardware availability, or any other.
Thanks!

Default App Selector

Hey guys, question regarding setting a specific app as the default. I have removed the 'Sound Recorder' app as it's a horrible sound recorder for our phone. I have the paid version of Hi-Q MP3 Recorder, and I wanted to know how I might be able to set this app as the default app for recording. So if I open a separate app that is able to record things, how can I make it open up Hi-Q to start recording things?
It should ask when you ttry make a recording... if not just delete all otther sound players and recorders...

That's the thing, it doesn't ask and I don't have any other voice recorders installed that I know of. I have Google Music, Double Twist, and I think that's about it, but neither of them are able to record anything. When trying to do it through the other app, it just force closes as it's not able to open anything up. I sent a message to the dev to see if they can add a way to change the default recorder.
I just wanted to know if there was an app or anything where I could choose a default app for a specific action.
You can try using Default App Manager. If you can't find the specific app under Settings > Applications, then that's probably your best bet.

On a similiar subject how do you get the default wallpaper back other than data wipe? Will that app do that too?

It must be data for something because wiping data restores it. It is not launcher data because I get the same wallpaper across different launchers.

Just installed it, but doesn't look like the option for 'recording' is there. The only audio related option is playback. Looks like a good app, but not quite what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion.

You could go into system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable and find default_wallpaper.jpg and save it to your SD card. Other than that, I don't know of any apps that would specifically revert it back. Time to search.

Do you have a current app that voice recording is being pushed to? Or is it just not opening anything when you use a function that should open something?
The data for changing the wallpaper has to be somewhere. I know how to do it the hard way. I made the ROM. I just want to be able to tell The People "to see or get back to the default wallpaper wipe data in xxxxxxxxxx"

The real question is, where is the pointer to the new wallpaper stored when you change it from the default? Has to be a cache of some sort. If you could wipe out that data, then theoretically it would point back to the original wallpaper in framework-res.apk.
Someone more experienced that I at reading logcats could probably figure out what's actually happening when you change a wallpaper from the default.

[Q] Change ringtone based on location?

I searched the web and read the manual, but could not find an answer.
All I am looking for is the way to automatically switch ringtone to "vibrate only" when I am in the office, and back to my regular ringtone elsewhere, based either on GPS location data, or the tower I am connected to. Is there an app for that?
Thanks!
I believe "Tasker" in the Play Store I'd what you are looking for.

I will try Llama. Isn't there one of Samsung functions or apps for that?
Thanks Raven,
I also found Llama, will give it a try:

I was under impression that Samsung provides this functionality built-in?

you're under the wrong impression then..
tasker is what you want
Let me know how tasker works on your device because it seems like a GREAT app but the reviews aren't too impressing.

Its a good app but its confusing to a lot of people so they leave bad reviews. The ui isnt as user friendly as the ios equivalent Activator

Questions about hiding apps

For iPhone in the Cydia app store there is an app called Poof that makes apps invisible. You run the app by actually typing in the name in the search screen. Is there anything like that on android?

Hiding apps? There are plenty of apps that let you freeze an app or disable an app.
I use es file explorer. You have to be rooted though.

Guess your new to ANDROID. Welcome Cuz your speaking of Crapple:banghead: lol.
Anyhow you can disable any app from showing up in the applications drawer. Just go into setting applications, pick the one you don't want disable done. But your going to have to root your phone like the last post stated. Then you'll b able to do plenty more. Like completely remove what you don't want or NEED!

Weebo app

I'm using the avatar ROM and it has a weebo app that allows you to use it to do functions automatically based off your location. I've been trying to get it to put my WiFi on and off when I leave my house. Ive let it recognize my location numerous of times. I don't know if I have my settings right or what. Another thing I'm trying to do is create my own rules using this app as well. So anyone with some assistance would be appreciated, thanks.

If you're using that "weebo" app for that, I would highly recommend purchasing Tasker from the play store. Awesome app, frequent updates, and can be set up to do a huge range of things based on profiles and specific parameters, including what you're trying to do.

Basically, Weebo is similar to Tasker, but you can do a whole lot more with Tasker, and since it's been around for years now, there are a whole lot of tutorials on how to program automation in it. The auto-on or auto-off of wifi is one of the more basic things you can do with Tasker (and there are tons of tutorials on it).
