Questions about hiding apps - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

For iPhone in the Cydia app store there is an app called Poof that makes apps invisible. You run the app by actually typing in the name in the search screen. Is there anything like that on android?
- Solved Apex launcher ahs the option_

Hiding apps? There are plenty of apps that let you freeze an app or disable an app.
I use es file explorer. You have to be rooted though.

Guess your new to ANDROID. Welcome Cuz your speaking of Crapple:banghead: lol.
Anyhow you can disable any app from showing up in the applications drawer. Just go into setting applications, pick the one you don't want disable done. But your going to have to root your phone like the last post stated. Then you'll b able to do plenty more. Like completely remove what you don't want or NEED!

You're able to hide apps natively by going to apps then menu then hide app.. You can also install app hider pro from play store, its free.

Help getting rid of annoying "Top App Manager" notification.

Recently I've been getting an annoying notification once a day from "Top App Manager" recommending apps for me to download and install. (Which appear to suck.)
I suspect --but am not sure-- that this may be linked to the "MP3 Music Download" app. Has anyone experienced this?
And most importantly, does anybody know how to make it stop?
Many thanks.

Search for "AirPush Blocker" on the market .... You may just need to remove the app that installed it ...

Top App Manager piggy backs with game
My Iconia recently starting showing a red 'A' status icon. Clicking it would pop up a messages about Featured App. This was surprising because I never installed a 'top app manager'. I started uninstalling games one by one until the top app manager icon went away. Upon uninstalling 'Piggy Adventure', the icon disappeared. Go figure. I hope this info helps others.

[Q] APP Drawer

For the APP Drawer is it possible to hide unused apps? Then maybe have a tab for different apps?
One app is everything, while another app is for games?
Is this possible?
Thanks.
With golauncher you can hide unused apps

Okay, well I know launchers can hide apps, cut that out, but I was really more focused on the second part.
Extra tabs? That can separate apps, like folders, but for the app drawer.

Some launchers allow folder groups, don't know of any with more than one application drawer.

Two frozen Google apps return

Two Google apps -- Play Books and Play Movies & TV -- keeping returning from the land of the frozen. I go back into TB Pro and refreeze, and within a couple of days at most they are back. All the other Google apps I've frozen remain so. Is there something else on the list I also need to freeze?
When I disable them in app manager they come back after a reboot as well. I think its tied to the play store or something that keeps activating them.

I checked on Play and on app manager for auto update option and don't see one. Odd that only these two are persistent despite freezing. I have the feeling there's another item on TB that needs freezing as well to fix this.
I got sick of this and since I do not want nor need them, I just deleted them

Ah, the more brutal approach. If that worked, and you have no regrets or issues as a result, that seems my only course of action as well.
Why you bother to freeze them or delete? It's part of former Google Market. Do.'t see benefit from deleting it. Can you share your thoughts?

Basically, I have four pages of icons under apps, and many of them are for services I have no interest in and will never use. I'm not trying to save space...I think there's 11 GB free, but I find the clutter off-putting.
Not sure I understand the part about Google Market. Play is just the same thing renamed, isn't it? Plus new look and feel.
Anyway, just de-cluttering the UI.
Yup it comes back now.. Use menu - > hide applications or you can stick them all in one folder and hide just that folder

Good grief...how did I not know about this. Hiding did the trick.

Aptoide works

The current version of Aptoide works fine on my 7" and installs apps flawlessly. I'm not so sure that I need the play store now - although there are other Google apps I'd like to get working. (I'm waiting a few weeks to decide if I need to root.)

sideloaded apps did not go thorugh the Amazon "carousel" launcher, so you won't see a shortcut there. But if you hit the "app" section on top you should see it in the list.

Done. But no use. 2 more screenshots..
I have had the same annoying pop-up ads that looked like this "your Android memory is too low, please clean it up" or something like that, when I pressed "OK" button I just was redirected to "Du Booster" app. So Ad-blocking app is your friend, and for me the best is Adaway.:good:
I had these starting yesterday. I just had to restore my phone to a backup in the end. I got rid of lots of apps and the aware ones didn't find anything

adblock plus is what i use and it works perfectly.
Adblock Adaway or the xposed mod minminguard. As long as you are rooted they should all stop the adds and pop ups

If you are not rooted the only option is to uninstall the app which is giving you the pop up. I don't know of any pop up blocker that doesn't require root

Yes... I am trying to do the same .. but unable to find the app that is causing it .. most of my apps installed are from reviews from top Android forums and few games only.
I have uninstalled almost 10 apps in suspicion .. but still can't trace the culprit.
Hurray... Finally got hold of the culprit.
It was named com.scloud.... (Didn't remember the full name)
Initially thought it was system app but when going thru all suspicious names found that there is an option to uninstall which is not available for sys apps.
After I installing it alk these ads are gone.
