On GT-5210 after KITKAT update and root, all is working great, except for a recurring Notification. Every time I reboot I get a notice that "An SD Card has been inserted". I have to clear it each time. My SD card has been "inserted" since the day I got the Tab 3...and never removed.
I have no problems writing to and from it. Almost seems that upon reboot, it gets unmounted and then remounted, thus generating the notification.
Does anyone else have this too, and is there anyway to fix it? Googling turns up a number of other users with different devices asking the same question...but no solution yet. They say it started with KITKAT too

It is a new "feature" of Samsung's KitKat roms. The only way to disable it is decompile SystemUI to modify the smali code. Not something a normal user would be able to do.

Can you tell me what you did in Notify clean exactly? I highlighted "preparing sd card" & "sd card unexpectedly removed" red under System UI, but still get the annoying popup every time I wake up the tab s.

You shouldn't be getting a 'sd card unexpectedly removed' notification anyway.
The only notification I have disabled is 'An sd card has been inserted' notification

Thanks, that would be too intuitive, wouldn't it? Except that I don't see that item listed under System UI group. All I see is "preparing sd card" & "sd card unexpectedly removed". I am going to try "all notifications" under system UI to see if that helps.
I am actually getting a popup message, not a notification. That's probably why NotifyClean doesn't work for me. Annoying because it comes up when the tab s comes back from sleep too. Does anyone get the same and know how to kill it?

I get this "#" in my notification bar sometimes.
When I slide the bar down, it says, "Superuser may be malicious".
I'm running Myn's Warm 2.2 RLS5, have never had a problem until now. Been flashing a few of the Sense 3.0 roms being tested right now, but am back to Myn's.
What does this mean?
Thanks in advance.
Is this coming from Lookout or something like that?
Superuser has the ability to access the root of your phone, that's why some protection apps may call it a malicious app.
Superuser is OK.
what app is giving the notification? what apps have superuser permission atm? any new ones recently? check the list, and make SURE there are none you don't know about (cuz that woudl def be malicious)
I have seen this message as well. I am running the stock rooted 4.24.651.1 ROM. It shows up for me when using Titanium Backup, which has superuser permissions. There is no indication of what application is calling the warning message. When you select the warning message in the notification menu it opens the superuser app and the message disappears. There are no strange or additional applications in the superuser permissions list. I did not see this message on the 4.22.651.2 or any previous ROM.

That was my first thought as well, but there is no indication that Lookout is giving me this message.
Seems to happen a lot when plugged into my computer.
Anyway HTC Sync could be playing a part?
Okay, I was able to get caps of the problem in question....

No.
Again, there is no indication of what's causing it.
I have got the same message once now on my dinc running CM 7.1 when integrating an update into the system rom. Anyone else have super manager installed? I have gotten other messages simular to this from it.
Running CM6 on a N1 .. I got this message when integrating system apps into the system memory using Titanium Backup. Probably nothing to worry about.
I had the same problem on another device, running Froyo, whenever I tried to update ES File Explorer from Market.
I noticed that, on the previous day, I had just installed an app called "Smart app protector", which lets you prevent some applications from being run by unwanted users, by forcing you to enter a PIN or draw a lock pattern before using the apps to set it up for.
Well, I uninstalled that application and everthing began to run fine again, and I had never seen the "#superuser may be malicious" message again.
Maybe this is your problem too.
Sounds like a new internet meme. "Superuser. May be malicious." I can see the pictures now. *has a vision*
Hello,
On Saturday I flashed Clean ROM ACE 5.0 onto mine and my wife's Samsung Galaxy Note 2's.
The one problem we're both having is that the contacts app stops working. (It worked fine for the first day for me and my wife's was good until today)
No amount of wiping and re-flashing is working.
Going to settings->application->all-> and then clearing the data in contacts and contacts storage doesn't work.
Even on a completely fresh flash of the rom, without installing any other apps or setting up our google accounts, we'll still get the message "unfortunately, contacts has stopped".
I've tried installing new samsung contacts apps into the system/app folder with rw-r--r-- to no avail.
I've even changed custom recoveries...
Strangely enough, 3rd party contact apps work, but I'd like to just keep the 'stock' samsung one if I could.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Changing recoveries WAS not needed too get a APP to work for you!!!
You ever think that it might be a bad download you had since you flashed the same room on both phones! And got the same results from both!
Anyway you can also access your contacts from the phone APP! Just in case you didn't know.. What I have set up on my Pie app to access the dialer/contacts... pic here:

Yes, opening up the dialer/phone app and tapping the contacts tab get the same result "unfortunately, contacts has stopped working".
Even, starting a text message and trying to choose a contact doesn't work.

Odd indeed. Not quite sure what I'm supposed to do to get it displaying...what's weird is Titanium Backup shows VoLTE settings as an item, so clearly it exists somewhere, but I definitely am not getting VoLTE calls even though I have WiFi calling working.

Yeah, I don't have that. Not sure if reflashing NF4 would bring it back or not.
I'm on NF4, going to Settings/Device/Call I have the option to use it or not right between rejection and answering/ending.
As I stated in the thread you already mentioned this in, your CSC is missing. Flash the nf4 CSC in the op of the nf4 thread in my Sig.

Thanks. Flashing the CSC did fix the missing VoLTE settings. I did however notice that when I attempt to use WiFi Calling on my home network as well as many other WiFi networks, the status for WiFi calling gets stuck on "Enabling". Has anyone else encountered that?

Try this:
1) power down your device
2) pull out sim card
3) boot device into download mode
4) flash full firmware of same version using desktop odin (unchecked auto reboot)
5) when done flashing, manually reboot into recovery (stock recovery), wipe cache.
6) when finished, power device back off and insert sim.
7) boot normally. Check to ensure volte and wifi calling are working.
8) assuming they are, you can re root and reflash any custom recovery and/or kernel you might have had.
Hope that helps!

Thats where your issue came from..
Exposed is causing a issue with secure storage.
ive always had to wipe and re flash to resolve after this happens and it made exposed framework unstable and was unable to update it or Uninstall it..
Try this zip and see if it works to resolve..
http://www.mediafire.com/view/gda67ca7wf4orta
Just flash via recovery and reboot..
Theres also a wanam fix for secure storage module that i was made aware of today also.. look for it in downloads and try it also.. says it fixs shealth and secure storage.. good luck

Perhaps its that antivirus that Asus included. I uninstalled that right away, as it let me do so.
What antivirus?! I didnt install any of that crap. I found that this happens on zenfone 5 and there is a fix for that.
EDIT. What is the latest firmware? System update tells me is the latest version installed but I thing it isnt.
EDIT 2. Yep there is a newer version available. Ill try to install it and see if its happening again
