I've searched but I might have missed it I am having problems writing to my external SD. I'm rooted, and I've formatted it. It's the same card I was using in my note 2 without problems. I did find the fixes for the note 3 and tried those but still having problems. Any other suggestions?

yes
Thats where your issue came from..
Exposed is causing a issue with secure storage.
ive always had to wipe and re flash to resolve after this happens and it made exposed framework unstable and was unable to update it or Uninstall it..
Try this zip and see if it works to resolve..
http://www.mediafire.com/view/gda67ca7wf4orta
Just flash via recovery and reboot..
Theres also a wanam fix for secure storage module that i was made aware of today also.. look for it in downloads and try it also.. says it fixs shealth and secure storage.. good luck
I was having problems before I installed xposed. I did it in an effort to fix it.
That didn't work either... I rooted using tmobile, could that be the problem? I did manage to get it to work though using foldermount

Yes Bye Felicia because My self and others gave you plenty of options to get it back working and you kept saying it did not work which ment you have no idea what you are doing. But foldermount hey I suggested that and another cosigned. A simple click of the thanks but would be great. Now I can change it to Glad you got it working Nurse

It worked for a day or two, then stopped. There were some visual goofiness, but better integration and voice recognition!

No need to flash - just open the zip files and copy the backgrounds/sounds over to your sd card. Easiest thing in the world.
Also, the new S Voice still isn't working for me. It just returns a no network connection error message. Anybody have a fix for this yet?

Hello friends. I want to share whatsapp fix for android 4.4 roms. I did't remember which rom i've extracted files. I only package them and make a flashable zip. I tried it on CM with latest whatsapp from google play and it works flawlessly on my nexus. I think it works with other applications which doesn't support ART.
I don't know who made this fix so thanks to developer who edited this files.
Don't need to wipe anything. You can flash anytime. But
Do NOT Forget Backup Your Current Rom!

try first, thanks a lot.

Do I need to choose ART before flashing?

can you guys just goto development and check what is shown there .. before flashing this it used to show ART now it shows Dalvik. Am using DREAMS ROM. And update titanium backup it works out of the box now only whatapp needs the fix.
ART Fixed
The zip post in the OP didnt work for me . The reason I got to know was when i checked DEVELOPMENT it showed Dalvik instead of ART . This should fix that. After flashing it took a while for me to reboot but ART was working with whatsapp and all.
PS:Just fixed the permissions and wallah it was working. I dont know why this has 2 files while the other patch in the general one has only one but none the less this is working for me so i got no complains .

Try swiping down for notifcation bar and swiping up for soft on screen buttons from the top and bottom respectively. It usually works for me
I am trying to figure out a solution for this myself
Xposed is working but its in alpha. You have to flash it using a custom recovery and then install the app to mannage the UI. Despite it being in alpha, I have had no problems with it so far

Twrp Manager has that patch to allow write access (easiest way), or the SD Fixer by "jrummy apps". It's just a platform.xml edit required.

can you please elaborate on this ? Where can I download the patch ? and is it just flashing it ?
Search SD Fix KitKat by Jrummy Apps on Google Playstore. It's a small app. Apply the fix through the app, delete the app.
Or if that fails (it shouldn't if you have root), simple to apply the path with Twrp Manager.
From then on its straight forward

just select "Do not show next time" and allow it...You won't be bothered anymore...Although i am not sure why is the app asking for permission...Have u denied any permission to the app or sumthin coz it should not ask u to grant permission for this...
I tried all the combinations and nothing changed. Still popping up. Same happens when Im taking picture with Facebook messenger, every time asks me if it can use the camera.
That's weird, I've never seen that before on my phone. Is that a built in Android thing or is it one of the Asus bloatware apps?

Perhaps its that antivirus that Asus included. I uninstalled that right away, as it let me do so.
What antivirus?! I didnt install any of that crap. I found that this happens on zenfone 5 and there is a fix for that.
EDIT. What is the latest firmware? System update tells me is the latest version installed but I thing it isnt.
EDIT 2. Yep there is a newer version available. Ill try to install it and see if its happening again

Go to the general resources thread in the general section. Flashing instructions or update instructions are in detail there.
Has anyone tried following the steps from this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUq1xdJ-7-E
but stopping before flashing the superSU? Will android pay work after a reboot?
As long as you are using the stock ROM and not rooted, I don't think it will be a problem.
I followed that guide and even flashed superSU, but when I realized Android pay won't work with root, I unrooted. I was then able to add my cards in Android pay. Hopefully purchases go through fine, no reason they wouldn't as long as you aren't rooted or modified the stock ROM.

hi thesoldier,
Does Android Pay still work after a reboot? Somehow I read somewhere on forum it doesn't work after reboot.
And is your recovery TWRP?
Do you notice any performance increase when taking multiple pictures after decryption?
Thanks,

Can someone please point me to a guide or provide some direction as to how one unencrypts without rooting? The majority of guides here are about rooting which I am not interested in. In fact, I thought I had to root to unencrypt. Apparently not, based on the above comment.
Thanks,

Just follow the video ^^ to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and format data. After the format the encryption is gone. Then just do not flash SuperSU if you do not want root.
