I am relatively new to XDA developers and was wondering if anyone could suggest a custom ROM for my HTC vivid. I recently unlocked it and have been using it on Metropcs' network (I got it from AT&T). I am looking for a stable ROM. I have had a chance to read through some of the threads and people complaining about wi-fi issues and cameras not functioning after installing a custom ROM. Any suggestions in helping me chose the right ROM for my HTC vivid would be highly appreciated. Thanks everyone. You guys are doing a great job by helping people like me (newbies). Keep up the good work. :good::good:

Hi peeps,
Ok...this is my dilemma. For some time now I have been using a HTC Wildfire phone as my work provided them for the staff. We have all been in the same opinion that the phones cause us daily problems with calls dropping, phone freezing, etc etc.
I personally have a Samsung S2 which has been great, although sadly the custom rom I have on it is no longer been developed so that's another issue to tackle another day.
Because I have to use the Wildfire daily I am looking to try and load a rom to make life easier and less problematic. So I would be grateful for suggestions and advice on a rom I could look at installing into the phone, thanks :good:
Firstly just to be sure this is a "Wildfire S" forum not "Wildfire". Huge difference between both. Just making sure you are in right direction.
You may wanna root your phone and try a improved version of stock ROM assuming you need sense 2.1. I haven't used many sense 2.1 roms but Mindhaxor or disciple 1 is my favorite. Get them from android forums.
I personally use MIUI v4 for daily use. It's great.
Cheers really appreciate your advice on this, after looking at videos on youtube to check and it would seem that it's not the "S" version at all....whoops....sorry about that.
Will now venture onto the Wildfire forum lol! :good:
Dear all,
i have for a while now an M8 in my possession and I'm definitely happy with it.
However, I now want something different in terms of software put on it (custom ROMs etc)
But what is really a good and stable ROM for HTC ONE (M8)?
Personally, I thought of a CynogenMOD or slimrom effortlessly.
But I'm looking for something really stable and pure beautiful / cool is similar in ROM.
In terms of warranty, I know as soon as you boot loader is flashing / unlocking the warranty is gone.
I'll take that chance, but want something beautiful, if a stock android if this is actually possible on an M8.
Thanks,
regards,
djbosanac
Stock is stable. Read threads to see if a rom has issues and try the ones you like, its all personal preference
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
ROM comparison threads are not allowed. Closed. As the previous user says, it's all personal preference.
To All The Devs,
I have been cruising the XDA forums for quite some time now, all the way back to my Droid X, and using the ROMS posted by the developers for quite some time. I want to personally thanks all of the developers that are developing new roms for the Lg G3 D851 right now. It has been a long hard road for you guys to get the camera and other aspects of the phone working with AOSP ROM's, but i want to thank you all for sticking with it and being so resilient. I think we all, although I only speak for myself, appreciate your hard work, troubles, and your long days of developing very much. It is awesome that we are getting to see some really great ROM's come to and awesome phone like the G3 and also some great kernels. Here is to you guys!
Thanks,

I ask for some help or rather come to you guys for help. I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy S4 (As you could tell), I believe, the S4 I have is unlocked, meaning that it is Rooted and do have questions for you veterans, the guys that know how to do it right. So my first question is, what ROM do I use and how do I install one? Do you have one that you prefer, works best and makes the S4 a smooth, great experience? I would like to have a ROM, that gives me the Lollipop experience, if that helps out to what ROM I'm looking for. Secondly, is it a necessity for me to have a SD Card? I don't currently own one and though I am new to Rooting, I have tried this before and failed, almost getting my S4 bricked because I didn't know what I was doing, which is why I have come to you guys
Much help is appreciated.
Hi. This might be silly question to a lot of XDA Pro's. Why does HTC (or other manufacturers) not add the amazing features we get from custom ROMs. I assume it is because of stability issues. Is there other reasons/ideas people have? I would imagine the ppl working on phone software would be enthusiasts, like the DEVs on XDA, and would love to add many features. I Googled my question, not much came up. Thanks for any replies.
