Microphone doesn't work

Hello! I have very annoying problem with my Desire - microphone doesn't work. Voice Recorder records just white noise and other people can't hear me.
Phone was rooted more than a month ago. Since then, I was satisfied user of RCMixHD. The last changes I've done (on Sunday) were: update system to v0.12 and radio to 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27. I don't call very often, so I noticed the problem yesterday.
I've started solving problem by restoring backup - it hasn't helped. Next I have wiped data, reverted to standard ROM, reset factory data etc. and it also hasn't helped. Next step was downgrading radio to recommended 32.48.00.32u_5.10.05.30 and other older versions. This hasn't helped too. I have tried many times (between the changes) recording voice - sometimes I could hear the recording (with white noise of course) but very quietly.
Today I have unrooted the phone using RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.2_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_151783_signed.exe. Microphone still doesn't work.
Maybe, someone more experienced than me can help? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
PS Phone isn't branded. I've got it since June.

I have unbranded Desire and facing the same problems and no solution found yet. I contacted HTC and they said that since I used unofficial ROM the waranty is voided and I should pay to get it fixed.
Did you find any solution? Thanks!

Yes run a RUU and don't tell HTC that you rooted your devices.

but I am still would like to find a software solution. I am not sure if its hw problem.

If you revert to stock and the problem is still there it's a hardware problem.

Thanks alot man, I am now reverting to UUR. If the problem persists I will send it to service and tell them that I used a modified ROM if they ask me because in this case I am to be blamed :-(

Sound not working. Can't make calls. Can't play/record videos. Please help!

My phone was perfectly fine last week before Samsung sent me an update. After the update my WiFi stopped working completely. After hours of searching for the solution I found that the only thing that worked was flashing a different ROM and so I did with cyanogen. From there everything was fine but I wasn't satisfied with the ROMs music and camera app and I missed some of the features touchwiz had I tried to flash back to stock and I did with a 4.2.2 stock ROM for bell mobility S4s. I found out that the WiFi still didn't work so I re flashed CyanogenMod and now I can connect to WiFi but I have no sound at all. Most apps freeze or crash when I try to play any audio and videos won't play (YouTube videos don't load and gallery won't load at all) I can take pictures but can't record video and also can't make or take phone calls.
Currently running CyanogenMod 11 on android 4.4.4.
Please let me know if I'm being too vague!
I've searched everywhere and found tons of topics on a similar problem but no solution OR with a solution for an American provider and don't want to risk bricking my phone.

By the way I've already tried restoring back to stock 4.4.2 and wiping the cache and system restoring. I even tried restoring to a band backup from the first week I had the phone nothing. I assume something corrupt in my phone.

[Q] Sound problem during sleep

Hello, I have an problem - I can't listen music normally on my m8. It has s-off, rooted latest WWE stock with latest firmware (401.7)
The problem is next:
When phone plays music during display off state - music plays slow with crazy distortion.
Once I turn display on - music plays great, while display is on.
How I can fix that? I already tried to wipe cache - didn't helped.

My phone just started doing the same thing today. Thought it was the new lollipop leak that had maybe a bug. Downgraded to SD 4.4.4 GPE and I've experienced the same behavior. Even changed the kernel and no dice. Streaming music works fine. Maybe reverting to the firmware that goes with the 4.4.4 Rom might do the trick?
Gonna try running an RUU on the phone to clean it to see if that fixes the problem.

This is the exact problem I'm having, I had it on Android Revolution HD and i fixed it by flashing the harman kardon mod and then I switched to the google play edition version and now i'm having the same problem but now I can't fix it. thinking it has something to do with the adsp

[Q] Headphones not recognized after update

Hello,
since I have updated to 4.4.4 newest Venom (3.1) my headphones wont be recognized anymore... (no headphones at all, works fine on other devices... tried several)
Im using now SoundAbout to fix this issue (sounds comes through headphones althoug it doesn't get recognized). I already flashed HK mod, didn't help anything
Didn't find anything to fix this issue.

Tried reflashing the rom as the mods could be the cause of the issue. If the issue persists than restore your stock rom to see how is it.

Android 6.0 CFW - No sounds & can't call / be called

Hello @ all !
Since the update to Android 6.0 there are no more sounds.
Everything in connection with sound don't work. When i change volume level, there is no "beep" ton.
Also i can't call or can be called. When i try to call it freeze, only power menu to restart works. When somebody trys to call me, it's like my phone is off, but it's on.
I am registerd to the network, so i can send and reach sms / use the internet.
I tried the ROM from Leedroid , ViperRom , RevolutionHD and MaximusHD. ( FULL WIPE etc. i tried every option.... )
When use the CandySix Rom, i have sound and i can call...
Would be great if anybody could help me.

I think I may have the same issue. I purchased a used M9 of AT&T variant. I know it had sound as the first time I booted it I heard the ATT boot sound. I never used the phone though and I immediately entered fastboot and changed it to a developer edition (the phone was already s-off and unlocked) I then installed LeeDroid via TWRP. The rom works fine but I have no sound at all from internal speakers or headphones. I also tried ViperOneM9 with the same result. I have not yet tried CandySix, but I will.
The only thing that is different fro me is that I don't have a sim yet for my carrier so the phone isn't yet registered. It is on wifi though. No sounds work at all. Touch sounds, volume rocker sounds, notifications, music also doesn't play from mp3's I have on my sd card (they actually don't seem to even start as the time counter doesn't ever start even after hitting pause and play)
Any Ideas at all?

Take a look over in the LeeDroid thread. You need to flash the latest firmware before installing the HTC MM based ROMs.

it's awlays common sense to read the OP. especially when there is a major upgrade like from lollipop to marshmallow where the whole firmware is changed/modified . be always sure to run latest firmware when trying to use latest roms. aosp/cm are a different story, for them it doesn't matter if lollipop firmware or MM is used
