I've searched for this, so my appoligies if it's been already asked.. Is there anyway to only PREVIEW an attachments without downloading it to my
file folder? I get work emails everyday, and I can't seem to just view the attachment without it actually downloading. I'm comming from a Samsung which always let me preview only, and then decide if I actually wanted to download it.
thanks for any advice

Let me start by saying I've searched and cannot find the answer...
Does anyone know if it's possible to view an email attachment on the DASH? I am using the phone with Cingular service, and have MediaNet through Cingular. If I go to either Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, or gmail, if I have an email with an attachment, I see the attachment there, but do not know how to view it. If I click on the attachment, it simply takes me to a new page with the file name of the attachment.
Is there no way to view this and is this why everyone is trying to get BB service on their DASH? I know someone with an 8700c and I changed a setting in the 8700 (Windows emulator of some sort?) to be able to view/download attachments.
Why can't I view attachments with my DASH if it already has Windows on it?
Sad but true; i don't think this is possible.
Hey guys anyone else know anything about this?
Using ProfiMail
I am using ProfiMail (albeit on against a POP account); but am able to read HTML messages and download and open attachments (if I have the viewer software on my phone -- e.g. pdf, word, etc.)
Can anyone recommend an offline blogging client for windows smartphone?
I dont have a blog yet so not too concerned with compatibility with blog hosts etc.
I'm only after a few features:
1. must run offline then upload at end.
2. must be able to attach a photo.
Anyone done this?
Cheers
I think a lot of blogs also make use of updating via email.. ie. you email an address and the email is posted as the blog entry, blogger.com comes to mind
thanks for that, yes i've tried and it works, although i'm trying to post a photo also.
Ideally by attaching to the email, blogger won't let you post a photo this way, it just drops the file and posts only the text.
Try getting a blog on Wordpress.
Wordpress has couple of extension reading incoming mail and adding pics as attachments in the posts.
Had done this time ago...
Requirements:
1) Blog which runs on Wordpress
2) Access to the server via FTP so to install plugins
3) Modify a bit the plugin scripts (PHP) so to have exactly what you need.
4) A very difficult to guess email address
...and you're done.
Check Wordpress codex for the mail & attachment plugin.
In the meantime I'll try to see if the modified plugin is still somewhere on my HD home and if found will post it here.

Hi everyone... I just got my phone last week... and I love it... But i noticed today that i can't download or open a pdf attachment. Maybe its me but i couldnt figure it out. Any help woulb be greatly. Thanks in advance...
When using my work account and the native email client I just click on the email to open. If it has an attachment I just touch on the attachment. A drop down appears. When I hit the drop down I can open or save. Opens just fine for me.
Hello guys, I got a little question...
My computer cannot display the attached pictures properly; when I click on the attachments, a white blank page opens with the text "No input file specified." I tried using FF, Chrome and IE, it's all the same.
Seems like nobody else has this problem... Can you help me?
Thanks in advance!
Try logging out and logging back in? Try clearing your browser cache and cookies?
Already tried clearing them, but unfortunately doesn't work for me... After logging out, still the same.
Can you post the link of the attachment you are trying to view?
It should look something like http://attachments.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=726013&d=1316570603
I'm trying to view the attachments of this post; other people can verify that these are working fine, but I have no clue why my computer can't display them properly.
Update: The attachments redirect me to the link "http://attachments.xda-developers.com/forum/attachment.php...", it seems like the "/forum" part is the problem. When I remove it, the picture is displayed correctly!
Thanks for the info...I've alerted the server admin, and it has now been fixed
Thank you very much, everything is back to normal now!
