Viewing Email Attachments - HTC Excalibur

Let me start by saying I've searched and cannot find the answer...
Does anyone know if it's possible to view an email attachment on the DASH? I am using the phone with Cingular service, and have MediaNet through Cingular. If I go to either Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, or gmail, if I have an email with an attachment, I see the attachment there, but do not know how to view it. If I click on the attachment, it simply takes me to a new page with the file name of the attachment.
Is there no way to view this and is this why everyone is trying to get BB service on their DASH? I know someone with an 8700c and I changed a setting in the 8700 (Windows emulator of some sort?) to be able to view/download attachments.
Why can't I view attachments with my DASH if it already has Windows on it?

Sad but true; i don't think this is possible.

Hey guys anyone else know anything about this?

Using ProfiMail
I am using ProfiMail (albeit on against a POP account); but am able to read HTML messages and download and open attachments (if I have the viewer software on my phone -- e.g. pdf, word, etc.)

Blogging with the S620

Can anyone recommend an offline blogging client for windows smartphone?
I dont have a blog yet so not too concerned with compatibility with blog hosts etc.
I'm only after a few features:
1. must run offline then upload at end.
2. must be able to attach a photo.
Anyone done this?
Cheers
I think a lot of blogs also make use of updating via email.. ie. you email an address and the email is posted as the blog entry, blogger.com comes to mind
thanks for that, yes i've tried and it works, although i'm trying to post a photo also.
Ideally by attaching to the email, blogger won't let you post a photo this way, it just drops the file and posts only the text.
Try getting a blog on Wordpress.
Wordpress has couple of extension reading incoming mail and adding pics as attachments in the posts.
Had done this time ago...
Requirements:
1) Blog which runs on Wordpress
2) Access to the server via FTP so to install plugins
3) Modify a bit the plugin scripts (PHP) so to have exactly what you need.
4) A very difficult to guess email address
...and you're done.
Check Wordpress codex for the mail & attachment plugin.
In the meantime I'll try to see if the modified plugin is still somewhere on my HD home and if found will post it here.

Windows Live HTML

how can I set it up so I get email with the pictures in the email and not up top? once I download all the files or pictures, isnt' there a way to have it inbeded into the email like it was suppose to? thanks much!
Ya its called searching!! I'm sure you will find all you need

Can anyone explain why this is so???

Ok, new Dash owner and have been searching through this site to answer all my question. So far so good but
Why can I open attachments from my hotmail emails(xls, pdf, etc), but if I try to send these to my Dash as a MMS they won't open?
I can send jpeg's and mp3 as MMS and open, just not xls, pdf, etc?
Curious
XLS, PDF, etc, are not multimedia files. WM 6 comes with Mobile Office, however, which should open them for you.
Thanks, I thought I deleted this post. I figured it out about 5 sec after adding the post.
duhh

dropbox solution

just found the new dropbox client for wp7
BoxFiles & KickBox (not Free )
check the review here
http://wmpoweruser.com/a-look-at-the-newest-windows-phone-7-dropbox-applications/
cause the wp7 not allow u to access your file (like word or powerpoint document) upload to dropbox
i found another solution
it call sentodropbox
after setup, u can get a email address
when u send a attachment to this email, it auto send the file to your dropbox
i'm not a developer, just want to share with u, enjoy
That's a great find! I haven't been able to figure out how to use the SkyDrive Cloud yet on WP7.

[Q] Sharing Links?

Maybe I am missing something....
When in Internet Explorer, there is no way to share a link with Facebook.
The Share sub menu only allows sharing via Hotmail and Messaging (same goes for albums/songs in Zune). Same goes for the integrated Facebook app -- if I copy a link and paste it in the ME hub, it posts the URL in Facebook as text, not as a link would normally be shared. (I know I can use the Facebook app to post links, but that's not the point)
Is this to be expected?
Thanks.
(fyi, I have the HTC Arrive)
