LG Mail & Exchange Server - T-Mobile LG G3

Does anyone use LG Mail for their work Exchange Server? IF so, do you get constant message where it says your work email password has changed and to re-enter it? I didn't have this issue on my Note 3 using Samsung Email. On top of that my calendar doesn't sync anymore? I would have to recreate the account to see new entries I just added.

Exchange Email and Out of Office?!

Hi all,
I hope you're all well...
I've set up my Exchange Email and it works fine but I keep getting "Unable to get your Out of office settings from the Exchange server right now. Please try again later" message...
Is there something I need to do??
Also, i set up my hotmail first and then this exchange account... The hotmail account comes first on the widget and then I have to manually choose the Exchange.. Is there a way to have the Exchange account show first??
Thanks for your help
What version of Exchange do you use? I wonder whether its a 2007 onwards feature.
Hi Ritdaw,
thanks for the message...
I've just checked and it's 2003?
That would be a huge shame if it is only supported by 2007......!?

Its quite possible that its only supported by 2007 onwards. I haven't seen any out of office functionality before on exchange activesync.
Someone may be able to confirm this if they are using 2007?

Remove the email-widget from the screen and then add it again. There is three options of how the widget should look. You choose the second option and will be asked which account shall be shown in the first place. Tap Exchange - et voilĂ !

Exchange Activesync-hotmail

Has anyone successfully sync with their hotmail account?
I tried to change the server address to m.hotmail.com and successfully lead me to another page to sync with emails and accounts but when I click sync, it will show an error saying failed to create the account. please try again later
I think that all hotmail accounts have not yet been enabled for exchange active sync (unfortunately)...
Mine has always worked fine......
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I get 'failed to create the account. Please try again later' on my device.
Perhaps it's not enabled on my account. Any way of telling if it has?
Hi guys, I do have exchange active sync working on my Hotmail account. Sync of email, contacts and calendar work flawless. Hang in there apparently this week more news will be made available regarding EAS.
I have the same problem.
it seems to connect to the server, but is then unable to create the account.
I think i have the wave 4 hotmail. but supposedly that is not all you need.
Same problem for me. Hopefully my account becomes enabled soon
It's not your account that's the problem, it's HTC's mail app.
Try downloading 'Improved Email' from the market, it's free and works like a charm.

Email client keeps crashing after ActiveSync setup

Hi,
i've received my GN two days ago.. (All Stock | 4.02)
During the setup of my Exchange 2010 account the email client crashed.
I'm getting errors with the security requirement of the exchange. (error messages with "null")
Now i can't use email. direct crash of email or sync service after launch.
I try to delete data of email in settings, but "delete data" is blank out.
Everthing is just fine, exept email. Any ideas?

Maybe you can delete from settings the account. Not from email.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
It does't show up in accounts.
Is there a way to delete email data/account setting via adb?
I want to prevent a factory reset...
Do you have a valid certificate installed on your Exchange server?
On the exchange side everything is fine incl. SSL-Cert.
All other phones (iPhone's & Desire S') work without any issue.

Hotmail email setup

Dear members,
I deleted my hotmail email and wants to create another but when I input my email and password ( and I am sure they are correct), I have this error message " can't connect to server" and I have strong internet connection, what do I do? Thanks.

Are you trying to add it as a POP account or as an exchange account?

There's a known issue w/Hotmail sync if you're using corporate sync/active sync setup. MS changed the sync setup on their server and it broke sync on all kinds of phones...that might be what is affecting you.
This is one of the key threads on MS forum about it:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...-devices/e8a68843-02f9-4fe3-957b-233b21179fc5
Results can vary - it was working on some phones for some accounts, not on others. It started working again on my wife's Razr Maxx when she got her 4.0.4 update, it always worked fine on my GNex.
on ICS and JB, when i add a hotmail, it added as exchange. dont know why, but it automatic setup with it.

Well, from ACCOUNT SETUP> I input my email and password and hit on NEXT and after that > Could'nt open connection to server! tried hundred of times but no way!
Does that mean i cannot set HOTMAIL on my device? If so which Application can i use with which i can set HOTMAIL as my default e-mail for sending mails?
I have 3 setup on my phone...
Just add a corporate account and use your full email address as the Username and use m.hotmail.com as the server address
And how do i do that? I cannot seem to pass the stage for email and password input? Is it POP, IMAP or EXCHANGE? And i have never use any.Only used to setting simple email and thats all
Choose Exchange

Well, I have the solution when I upgraded
to 4.0.4. I can now set up the email. Thanks

can't setup charter email with the default email app

I can set it up with extended email, but wanted to try the stock email app. I'm using exactly the same settings as on my s3 and nexus 7, and the stock app is asking for and email address and a name, and any combo I can come up with doesn't work and fails.
Is there a trick to setting up imap incoming?

You are using an imap setup on a home email account? Usually they are a pop account, but I could be wrong.
UPDATED: Just saw this so I stand corrected
Yeah, I was following their directions to the letter, but I still can't set it up in the default app. I might call charter and see if they have the solution.
Looks like I might have found a Verizon specific bug. You can't setup a charter email account either under accounts or under the provided email client.
My charter rep attacking got a sprint version last week, and had no issues at all, using the same settings.
Samsung has filed a bug report about the issue, and it looks Verizon specific.
I can use a different email app, and set that up fine, but the stock one is busted for us.
charter email works fine on stock email note4
While on the phone with charter, they did something to my email account that fixed the issue. I forgot to reply at the time, and am not sure what they did now.
