Could you guide to download new rom XDA II 1.66 with .nb1 file.
I found only xdaii_upgrade_16044eng.exe, how can I copy it to my SD and upgrade from bootloader?

no your bootloader cant execute pc exe files
heck if you just copy the nbf file from inside the exe file to the sd card it will not work

I don't think that is going to help you.... I have the same problem.
I am stuck in bootloader mode (1.06 is the new version).
things I have noticed about this bootloader (as I have spent lots of time with it...))
1. The Password BOOTLOADER is enabled on many of the commands (I understand it was not on the earlier versions) in this new version.
2. I have a bunch of XIP roms and even a few NB0 roms, and I cannot just "lnb" or "l" them over as they want start addresses and the lot (defaults do not work for either.
3. As I have access to another XDAII in the morning, I have not tried to erase the ROM on my device with the erase command. Even though I think that will solve the problem, I don't dare tempt fate again.
3a. A way around the Model ID error is to cold boot, or reset at just the right time in the upgrade program (this is when the device shuts off - or goes blank). This will then fake out the upgrade program and it will continue. However, with my problem, I get stuck at the first step of "erasing ROM". IT apparently times out as it is unsuccessful and gives you an error reading something like "there was a problem -- reset and try again" Since my problem is self inflicted (I upgraded but deleted the Radio stack and OS from the temp directory -- something the instructions tell you never to do --> but red letters or bold typing that little fact in the instructions may have helped me not to miss it!!)
3.b Maybe this info would help others in the same boat -- maybe not.
4. I am convinced that the problem is related to the new bootloader version and if I could down grade it, all would be well. But I am not that brave - would rather wait to D2S a good ROM from a good XDA2, then gamble further.

I have tried a lot of different ROM's and different ways to upgrade my MDA II with HimaUpgradeUt. But the result is alwasy the same. MDA II starts in bootloader mode and I can only reactivate the device with a old ROM via SD card (image written via ntrw.exe).
Please can someone help me or can provide a ROM image from his device (MDA II, latest version, german or english).

I am trying to flash my dutch T-Mobile MDA-pro with a none T-Mobile ROM. I am using the tool MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe to do the flash. The flashing goes fine, but the device does not boot and is stuck in boot loader mode.
If I then only flash the CE partt of the original T-Mobile ROM, then the device boots again, with radio and ext. ROM from previous attempt.
What am I doiing wrong?
I understand that there is no CID unlocker for universal and I have to use MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe. Is that correct? Is MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe.also for universal, I don't see the universal picture in that tool..
I used ROM: UNI_QTEK_13077_176_10900_WWE_Ship.exe, I also tried a jasjar ROM that another dutch T-Mobile user successfull installed.
Any tips?

Only thing I know is that I can flash any rom 2 my dutch t-mobile mda pro.
When you run it the first time, it goes into the bootloader.
Then you must run it a second time to start.
worked 4 me
While beiing in bootloader I tried serveral ROM's they all failed to boot. The only ROM I can boot is the original T-Mobile ROM.
Do you flash with MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe? or another flash tool?

Same here I am able to flash my MDA Pro with anything I want, and I did it about 10 time already.
Maybe they are now selling devices with something protecting from flasing the ROM with a different then from T-Mobiel ?
I have tried it once again and followed these instructions and now it worked (I only updated CE):

The difference between wat I did and these instructions is: The editting of ruu.conf. The universal does NOT need the line [CHECKCEID_TYPE]=1

search voor the update rom WITHOUT _NoID.exe tool.
i have updated my dutch mda pro first time with changing provider id and that worked fine. yesterday i updated with the noID.exe and resulted in a crash in bootmenu. after that i change the provider id and i worked well.
damm slecht engels, kort gezegd.
gebruik HTC64_Extended_ROM_Tool om provider id aan te passen in de nfb bestanden. bij mij werkt het op deze manier prima.

Hi guys, first post, but I've been lurking for a while.
I was updating my Radio form .05 to .08 using the DIAMIMG file and the reset with vol down and back key. It gets to about 80% and freezes. Now when I had to reset it goes to the red green blue and white screen and says:
"Upgrade Rom code error Please try again"

I have been unable to get a usb connection to the handset.
I think I'm all out of ideas and I have spent the last few hours trying to find a fix
just flash anything else like a os, etc.
I thinks it solves the problem.
It did for me btw.
i flashed org rom update with os and radio and it solved my problem.
the issue is the I can't get diamoncustomruu.exe to find my phone. windows need a qualcomm driver of some sort, although my Ubuntu system gets the hand set to show usb instead of serial, but wine cannout run diamoncustomruu.exe in a windows wrapper. Mayber I'll have better luck in vista instead of xp?
Zoom, would you be able to run through the process you went through to recover please, including the OS and what files you used?
At the minute I have Olinex 1.40 and Dutty 2.5 on here. It is somewhere between radio .05 and .08 lol.

Ive just installed the Official rom update from htc site.
My screen was stuck in the three colored screen with update error but the rom update solved it.
I just run the official update from there (3colored screen).
And in some how it worked.
Then i reinstalled the custom os, radio etc.
btw i have Hardspl 1.93OliNex UnsignedEdition

1 - soft reset with red button by stylus?
2 - hard reset manually?
3 - turn phone off, plug in to usb, turn on does it still not recognise? reinstall activesync
4 - have you tried flashing radios, other roms, reflashing hard spl?
does your phone just not get recognised at all?
ive had this problem a few times not just with the diamond, and i alwasy managed to fix
also some roms have an option when you download and unpack to just run rom update, it enters mdos and goes straight to rom update, i.e. it doesnt have the on screen prompts, this may bypass the problem too - i think SWTOS or SWIFTfl roms are like this, or try an original rom
if you are really not getting any response try resets
thats about all the info i cazn offer.

try to reflash from there
when I try to reflash with .08 from Dutty's site i get error 260 Connection in the utility.
Should I try MTTY or QMAT and if so, can somebody point me in the direction of how to use these, and where to find them.

Since you had it working in Linux (the USB) and you seem to preffereble wanna use Linux . There is a Google Project page with an HTC Flasher for Linux. Also there is a ROM Kitchen Project, among others

Maybe you'd like to share with everyone what you did to fix it, to help others?
All I did was run the RUU Upgrade Utility in Windows Vista. Because i was able to detect the USB device in XP but couldn't write to it, I thought that it may be driver related.
Vista detected the handset as a USB device correctly and I was able to flash it with a new radio and then Dutty's new ROM.
I tried minicom and HTCFLASH in Ubuntu and was able to detect the device, but when I tried to write a new rom the progress bar in Linux completed, but the phone didn't change.
It's all good now, I'm just happy it didin't break.

Had the same probs few times with xp (activesync) with Vista everythin goes regulary Now I don´t use xp for flashing anymore

Ho provato a fare un soft reset, niente;
Ho spento (togliendo la batteria) sperando che mi passasse da serial a USB, collegandolo al PC, niente;
Ho spento, collegato al PC e riacceso, niente, non va in modalità USB.
Il sistema operativo del mio PC è Windows 7 64bit; sul portatile ho XP: se accendo mentre è collegato al portatile, il portatile lo sente, ma non riesce a trovare i driver Qualcomm ecc.. ecc...
Insomma, ho il telefono bloccato e non so come uscire da questa situazione!

I tried to do a soft reset, nothing;
I turned off (by removing the battery) and hope that I might pass from serial to USB, PC connection, nothing;
I turned off, connected to the PC and turned on, nothing in USB mode.
The operating system on my PC is Windows 7 64bit, I have XP on the laptop: if I turn on while connected to the laptop, the laptop feels, but can not find drivers Qualcomm etc...
In short, I have the phone locked and I can not get out of this situation!

When i tried to flash my device using RSD lite i get an error that says "device s flash OMAP3630 is not supported" anyone know what that is?
It's the processor. Which version RSD lite are you using? I've been using 4.9 and never had a problem.

Now i tried several versions of RSD lite but i get the same error on all, can it help to try with an other computer or is it the phone processor that is causing the problem?
Now i finally got it to work changed to another computer with xp on, installed Rsd lite 4.9 and it workt like a charm so now i have the new nordic edition on my defy great!!
Hi I bought a red magic 6 tencent edition from China it came with global rom n all however I cannot find any way to turn nfc on I tried multiple apps that check for nfc and they all say that nfc is present but turned off any ideas to turn it on?
Even google pay says it has a nfc in it but when i try to use pay to turn nfc on or set default payment option it does nothing

i have tencent edition too flashed to global rom, i dont think the CN set came with NFC, since i dont have it.

I think it's present but part disabled somehow I mean even Google pay thinks it's present but turned off and many apps I tried that detect NFC say it's present but off
I think the cn version don't have the hardware of NFC. You can watch the chinese YouTuber's video of dismantle CN version RM6.
