Mediaserver is killing my battery!

Every day, I charge my Galaxy Nexus to 100% and in about two hours it's down to 15% regardless of whether I use it or not.
Every time I check on the battery, it says "Mediaserver 61%". Sometimes it's lower, sometimes it's higher. I barely have any media on the phone.
What do I do?
Come on, guys. My battery is dying!
Are you rooted? Which rom are you running if so. Have you been listening to music all day?

No, I'm not currently rooted, but I should.
No, I don't listen to anything. The phone is barely used.
I know I can get it from watching porn through my browser.

Then theres not really much i can tell you if your not rooted. Sorry. But a factory reset is what I'm thinking of. Could work. Make sure to backup first. (Take files and put them on your computer) rooting will defiantly fix your problem

So you have tried restarting the phone and still ended up having Mediaserver draining your battery?
I have same problem to using media server.. I do not want to use it

Did you try restarting your phone? It could also be from an app you have installed on your phone.

You're tired to restart your phone? So you haven't read started it? Because usually a reboot would fix the random Mediaserver battery drain.

Yes, I've tried that but it doesn't work.
As an example, I rebooted it before going to sleep. It had a 75% charge. When I wake up - 30% and mediaserver took up 65% of it.

Then it's either one of your apps is misbehaving and you'll have to find it and remove it, or you'll have to factory reset the phone. You can try installing BetterBatteryStats first and check under partial wakelocks to see what apps are always running that could trigger the mediaserver. It's at least something to try other than wiping the phone I suppose.

Sup guys. I leave my location off on my phone. I was wondering if you can use the GPS for navigation on the 360 with the phones GPS off?

Only bluetooth and a microphone, it's just an extension of your cellphone, but that's the only way to have reasonable battery life...

Future updates to both hardware and software.
Moto has this feature on the MotoActv but battery life is not good at all - we're talking hours, not days or even half days....

I have a problem with wakelocks, help me!

Can you help solve the awakenings that I have with this.
Best regards!
Deleted wake lock means that you may have deleted the app that caused the wake lock.
Monitor your battery for one more cycle, to see if it's gone.
Btw, I recommend BBS, wake locks detector has not been updated in a while.

Looking at your screenshot you can't turn it on so logically it's disabled already ? Right ? No ?

I assume it's enabled by factory, and I assume that it is the cause of my battery drain. I think isn't possible to turn off.

What do your logs and battery monitoring apps say about your drain, like better battery stats.
Investigate the issue before you try to turn something off when it seems it's not even enabled.

Double touch bug?

When the phone has been idle for a while, the double tap to turn on the screen does not work. It is normal?

Normal if you have super stand-by battery saving and stuff turned on.

Probably an issue with updates
Maybe the update we got a few days ago messed this up. Fingerprint is inconsistent sometimes as well. I have all those battery stuff turned off.

So, does it happen to anyone? That is the only problem, it does not work when it's idle for a while. I would not like to do a hard reset and remain the same
