Looking at your screenshot you can't turn it on so logically it's disabled already ? Right ? No ?

I assume it's enabled by factory, and I assume that it is the cause of my battery drain. I think isn't possible to turn off.

What do your logs and battery monitoring apps say about your drain, like better battery stats.
Investigate the issue before you try to turn something off when it seems it's not even enabled.

Hey everybody!
I noticed yesterday, when I try to charge the battery of my GN with device turned off.
The screen is the wohle time showing a battery icon, with quite high brightness.
This icon have no motion, no bars. (you can't not see how much the battery is charging..)
And the worst part: the wohle time the phone did not react when I pressed the power button. Therefore I had to remove the battery, put it again, and turn on the device again.
Question: Is not possible charge the battery with the phone off?, I mean, without removing the battery for turning on again.
why does not show any info about charging status when device is turned off?
Did you noticed this issue?
Thanks in advance!!
I charge my phone with the power off no problem.
You can push power button quickly to see if the GN is fully charged

Are you using a custom recovery image? i.e. ClockWorkMod?
If so this is the cause. It's a bug, it's being investigated.

Doesn't rom manager use a fake flash method? So, technically, CWM isn't really installed fully on your phone from what I understand.
Same troubles here, CWM installed via adb later installed with ROM-Manager
I did it via adb as well.
can we do it with free rom manager version? or do I need the professional version??
I had a look if there is a difference between install CWM by adb or by ROM-Manager... still same issue no change.
Maybe not the Recovery is the problem, maybe its the Superboot Images?! Makes more sense to me
It makes no difference how CWM was installed.
It only hangs the phone if the battery is 100%.
So for those that have not experienced it, I think your battery != 100%

I posted a link to this thread here, so maybe the developer can help us
until we found a way we realy need to take care that our battery isn't too low

what i did was enable the things it was asking me to enable, but set them at such a low level that they won't make a difference anyway. if low battery mode doesn't cut on until you have only 1%, it'll never cut on in normal usage and so it won't bother you.

Guys the battery on my s6 edge has been draining just by sitting here. Anyone else having this issue?

Yeah I've been seeing some serious battery drain. Way more than I'd expect with the battery size. Not sure what's going on.
Turning on your Wifi will kill your battery. I've had to restart my phone to make it stop sometimes. Makes me wonder if this is why the nexus skipped 5.0.2.
That may very well be the reason why nexus skipped it. Juding by the previous samsung record, it will be a while till we get 5.1

Did you have Wifi on at any point since your last restart? I've had to reboot the device to fix it.
Try turning off volte. That seems to help.

This is what i hate so much... you pay ridiculous amount of money to buy a "Smartphone" but then you have to turn all these features of to make it work efficiently.
I'm sure it's just a software bug on T-Mobile, but I was able to fix my issue by turning off WiFi, completely charging the phone, and restarting. WiFi is what causes it, not sure why though.

Did you also disable the "wifi during sleep" that is used even if wifi is off? Can't remember where it is. Maybe advanced Wifi or in Location settings. Just curious. Thanks!

Gotcha. I was curious but also sort of pointing out that even with Wifi turned off, the phone will still use Wifi for location unless you specifically disable that option. It may or may not make any difference at all, but since there's a bug then it's possible that ANY use of wifi is draining more than it should (even if it's just intermittently every few minutes for location checking).

If the WiFi being used during sleep is causing any issues, the issue is small enough that it is not showing up on my battery usage page.

Well for example. I have had Wifi turned off since before unplugging my phone this morning (8 hours ago). Despite that, it has been used for 29 minutes because I didn't have that option (use wifi for location even when it's off) disabled.
Because of this, I'm disabling that location feature as well for now. I bet that's about 30 minutes my phone has been held "awake" due to this stupid bug!

If it's causing issues for you then turn it off. For me it wasn't enough of an issue to disable WiFi during sleep.

if you go to call options in the settings menu or you can go to the oem dialer and click on more in the upper right hand corner of the screen the option for it should be under setting in that drop down menu
In battery history my WiFi connection is always shown as on even when I turn it it off. I had it off last night but it still displays as on in the battery history. I also have battery scanning turned off. Does anyone else have a similar problem?
Go to Settings -> WiFi.
If WiFI is off, is there a Text that WiFI is being used for location services?

Have it disabled. I mistakenly wrote battery scanning but that is what I meant.
No, it's not a Bug.
Are you on 1.91 ROM?
Mostly if it's shown as active, Wifi was active.
Seems like you have some other App Installed that forces WiFi active. Skype or such like to do that.
