Hi everyone
I bought Xperia M dual C2005 with android 4.3. I don't have the option for changing photo resolution in Camera and the photos are low quality (about 650 Kb per photo). Is there any way to change photo resolution?
Manual or Auto mode? You can do it only in manual mode by pressing on lower icon for settings and on top you have the option to choose resolution
I tried everything, but I can't find anywhere option for changing photo resolution and quality. Can you post a printscreen of your phone (if you have Xperia M)?

Thanks a lot for your help.
I don't know how, but at first I couldn't find those options (and the one for switching to manual also). And after some time when I started camera application there were all those options, they came out of nowhere. I thought it was some software fault.
Even I set my resolution to 5MP photos are still low quality. Is camera on C2005 bad, or it can be some software problem? Photos on my Xperia mini ST15i are much better, and it also has 5MP camera.

i don't have any problem with my camera, maybe you can try another camera app or if you know about dcrc, you can try this
Obviously my camera has some problems, or it's something wrong with camera application. I tried with other apps and photos are slightly better, but still not as they should be. Thanks for your help.
I used to have 5MP /16:9 back and 2.4MP front camera but after upgrading to Lollipop it's downgraded to 4.9MP/4:3 and 1.9MP/4:3
I am wondering why is that? why Lollipop messed up the Camera? how come I get over from this and take 5MP/16:9 photos again like I used to do.
I too wanna how to recover with this problem. Is there anything we can do using root ??

2560*1920 = 4915200 (in Lollipop)
2880*1728 = 4976640 (In KitKat)
it means in KitKat there are more pixels in taken images. but when it comes to Lollipop it reduced.
exactly 61440 pixels lost it's not a small value. so basically 5MP down to 4.9MP and aspect ratio is down from 16:9 to 4:3 and 61440 pixels lost Lollipop made the camera bad.
Photo thumbnails also messed up I just took a pic and it shows a green thumbnail but the photo is fine.
Back Camera is same.
Back
1152*2048 =2359296 (K)
1600*1200 =1920000 (L)
OMG, basically 439296 pixels lost what the heck google.

It's not an issue of the camera app ,no matter what camera app you use ,the issue is still there.
I presume, it's an issue in the camera API in the lollipop.
Hi,
Is the device using an MTK chipset?
Regards,
D.
yeah Mediatek
