Slow Motion missing - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I have a H815-TWN and for some reason I can't use the slow motion feature as it's missing In the stock camera app I select the "wheel" on the top left, then go to "16:9" and in the video line it only says "HD, FHD & UHD", but not slow-motion! Any ideas why?
I rooted my device, then reinstalled it back to the stock firmware with the .kdz file. Neither install had the slow-motion option. Why? :/

you can find it from mode on camera app there is
auto
panorama
slowmotion

Camera and Camcorder not working

So i flashed over and a JRDNEM_U3_2.34.1 based rom... (http://www.simply-android.com/discussion/704/rom-vanilla-w-eclair-1.0.1-122810/p1) and noticed the camera and camcorder shortcuts arent there. I downloaded the camcorder shortcut app and whenever i click it, i get an FC and it goes back to the homescreen. I dont see a stock camera app so i downloaded Camera 360 but the whole process with that app is too slow for me and the image gets stuck unless i play with the zoom slider to reset the camera. Its weird. Now im using Camera Magic and its great but it only captures 1024x768 which is only .8 megapixels. I want to get the camera and camcorder apps working the way they should, what should i do?
Workarounds i found was using ANcorder and Camera360/Fx Camera/Camera Magic to take pics and video but im still looking for the normal use of it. The developer of the ROM seems to have a chip on his shoulder and isnt very helpful so im wondering if any of you guys might have a different solution for getting the camera to work after flashing new ROMs and finding a that as a problem.

[Q] Why is the hdr button missing ?

i have upgraded my gnex to android 4.2 but the hdr button on the stock camera is missing, i have searched this problem on google and then i found some article, it says that you have to download some additional lib files which is "libmmcamera_hdr.so" i downloaded and put it to the system/lib and changed the permissions, but still i cannot find any hdr button, anyone can help ??
thanks in advance
I think the HDR function is a N4 feature, not available on our hardware.
Galaxy nexus doesnt support HDR. Its all about hardware

Not all about hardware(it might due to slow shutter but it's not limited because of hardware).. in fact HDR is a software it is really simple technique. Google think HDR is so advanced photo taking technique only N4 with quad core can take it but in reality any camera can take HDR even film camera
So there's no mod to get HDR?
Could CM Mod it and we'd get it?
I know there's an app on the play store that mimics the AOSP Camera app perfectly so could that be our only future solution for HDR since it will copy it?
So far it's only at 4.1.2. The developer got to update his UI for 4.2.
Well, just use a proper camera to take hdr photos..
And the auto ones usually looks like a vomit of colors..........

GB27 - Video camera - zoom while recording issue

Did a quick search and couldn't find anything so I figured I would post up a question.
I completed the upgrade to the GB27 OTA via the ODIN pre-rooted full wipe option.
Everything works and I get no FC or errors, but while making a video recording, the camera no longer zooms.
The camera (taking pictures) zooms fine.
When I dl'ed another camera app, the video recorder will zoom while recording with no issue
Was this removed as part of the update?
Is this just an issue for me?

On GB and ICS the camera defaulted to 720p. With Jellybean it defaults to 1080p which doesn't allow zooming. Go into settings and switch back to 720p or less and you should be able to zoom again.
Recording 1080p on the E4GT is crap.

I even went back to the stock camera and still missing the slow motion video recording mode. Is there something I need to edit like the media_profiles.xml file in the etc folder? I have attached the xml file. Thanks.

Camera app with working Slow Motion for custom roms on One Plus 3?

Any camera app with working Slow Motion mode on custom roms?
I'm running LOS 15.1 rn and I've tried slow motion on Google Cam and OOS Camera. None of them work.
Any suggestions?
I to am looking for an answer to this. I had tried a few custom ROMs but came back to stock (well open beta) because of the camera.
I tried Google camera mod and it has the slow motion (with audio!) And HDR+.

But Google camera slow motion doesn't work for me. The camera freezes.
Where did you get the Google camera app from? I honestly don't remember how I got it. I'll have to have a look. But a quick look through magisk and there's a "Google camera fix" module. Maybe try that?
On oreo Gcam slowmo don't work.
You can install nokia camera work but not the same quality of oos camera..
the Nokia camera port have a working slow mo on Oreo...it's a little buggy but mostly works, search in the forums you'll find it.
Have you found any slow motion camera that works on Android Pie? I've tried Snapdragon Camera which crashes now but worked for Oreo. Nokia Camera is able to switch to slow motion mode, even save the recorded video but the output is the same as normal video.
Did anyone find an answer to this? I've heard that the OnePlus camera is on apkmirror and that could work..
