Go to the "InCall Blocker" menu and click on the bottom entry. Enter #31# in the field (or whatever your carrier requires). The variable has not been initialized and you have to do this once for it to work. This will be fixed in the next release.
See if that works.
Atl4ntis mentioned it in this post:

Edit: I just noticed you're talking about the "Smart 3G" feature instead of the "Automatic Number Blocker" feature ;/
I still can't believe how simple they made it. Just open the search app and do a text search for "Okay Google Everywhere." That's it. Go back to your Google Now voice settings and you should see the Ok Google section now has options for detection on any screen and the lock screen

It works perfectly on CrDroid 4.4.4
XT1033
Though it needs US accent to work/detect the Hotword
Google Now supports "OK Google" detection from ANY screen in the latest update. To activate it, you have to ENABLE "Audio History" and then ENABLE "OK Google from any screen" in Voice settings.
No portugueses
?
- The update to Google Search added some really neat functionality... which has stopped working for no reason.
- For instance I could say "play music" and the Play Music app would launch and start playing music.
- Then I could say something like "play next song" or "stop music" and it would execute the command. But it seems they have removed that functionality for some odd reason on the Moto G because I get this audible error "controlling media is not supported on this device"

I had it enabled in my latest stock rom (4.4.4 BR Retail) (Don't know how I did it). I had phantom kernel on it, maybe it had something to do with that.
I reflashed (4.4.4 EU Retail) and can't get it working now. I always use US english for my devices (even tho it tries to push spanish for me because of my location).
I read in an official google's post that Moto G and Moto X were not supported, I think we may get it working if we trick google into thinking this is another device or that is called something else. Maybe an alternative kernel...
Just donwload Google Unleashed.
Install the apk. launch Google Know, Settings > Debug > Languagues, Type the Language to support. Like pt-BR
is working here
Just follow this

Not here in Argentina... ¬¬

That method won't work anymore because Google removed the e300 flags from there.
I think our device supports and definetively is able to use this feature anywhere, but google willingly decided to block this feature because is "an older device" so they force you to get a newer phone (even though you don't need it).
At least with a stock rom, Moto G and Moto X users will have to find a workaround for google's blockade. I think it might be as simple as some deviceID.

sometimes its work.. but sometime dint work. anyone can explain?
To work with your system language, you have to download the correspondent language package. But even with this, it may not be available for your language. I use a PT-BR and it won't let me active this option, so at the moment, it's not available for me.
But if you change your language to English, it will work. Hope more languages become available soon.
This is the official response from google
"This feature is currently unavailable on this device" error: The "Ok Google" on every screen setting is not available formato Moto X or Moto G, and other older Android devices.
Some XT10xx devices are hotword blacklisted and can't even use the most basic feature. I'll search for another blacklist in debug options.

Try:
•Select language in your device "English US"
•Install the Google Now launcher and join Google Now. Type: "OK Google Everywhere" to activate it the features.
•Than feel free to change or use a different launcher.
"Nova Launcher works great with the Google voice features".

There is an option in dev options to check all sensors. GPS sensor can be found there and I remember that we've the altitude info.

Well, thanks for suggestion. It works great.
But I do was looking for "something" (an app) that directly was giving me the gps altitude.
Still didn't find it.
Thanks again

It is always good to have a device that works, but isn't that better to have some clues about HOW is works?
Today you will be able to know more about the CT406 (MotoG's Ambient Light and Proximity sensor), there are few documentation about it, but lets see what we can do :
