It is always good to have a device that works, but isn't that better to have some clues about HOW is works?
Today you will be able to know more about the CT406 (MotoG's Ambient Light and Proximity sensor), there are few documentation about it, but lets see what we can do :

Hey, I found this video and didn't know that this could be done and was wondering if the automatic brightness setting could some how be implemented into the notifications bar?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGHF8ZrNqsw
BTW, this doesn't work if the brightness is set to automatic brightness.
Haven't you read the manual?
It tells you this if you read it....
[edit] sorry , didn't read your post properly. Thought you were the rather dim sounding guy in the vid...[/edit]

the post you linked is related to WaveBackup, a beta software for saving and restoring phone memory, the program that I linked is WaveTool: a beta software for recording a video of what is showing on your phone screen, should be two completely different things, don't you agree?
OMG guari, look around!! Maybe you'll see 'Key press events and Screenshot(s)... via PC' thread, and this post

sorry you're right , I had not seen that message and the name of that thread seemed to relate to a debug function not to video capture...
I also noticed that the link I posted contains errors and a broken download link ...I apologize, please some mod can delete this useless thread.
I feel androbada used a similar tool like this to create fake video of android on the wave. we can see the video created quite a lag, as recorded on the video screen wavetool wave
sr for my bad english
Not sure where to post this...but...

A better description on the thread title would help you & the forum members a lot.
Infact, any sort of description whether on the thread title or your post would be helpful. Just posting a youtube link with a vague comment without any information about what sort of a video & its context is to be frank, quite irritating and can be classified as spam.

OK peeps this post is about the flashlight apps actually activating the camera so BIG BROTHER can spy on us and see what we're doing in the dark...
I thought this was old news? As far as I'm concerned they can spy away. I use that app to help illuminate the darker corners of my body that light does not get to (for grooming purposes ya know) Jokes on them. tehe
...welcome to the xander zone... always wanted to say that.

I never use a flashlight app anyway, I just use TWB because its integrated into it. It's funny because If I had a flashlight app that requested those permissions I would just block them via xposed and call it a day.
Like on this post,I can't right click so If I make a misstake and its hilighted with a red line under it and can't use the spell checker to crect it. see they are a lot of misstake in this post and I can't sort them out cos I can't right click...??
I have altisam and have a problem with my spelling.
What do you mean? It's working perfectly here, check the screenshot attached below. I wouldn't worry too much about spelling on XDA anyway. After all, the focus is on development. It's better to have well written code than to have well written posts =)
Yea, I'm not sure what your issue could be. Right click isn't disabled or modified in any way on XDA.
Try another browser as a test?
Hi. I noticed that for any thread I visit and try to go to any other page via the buttons, the page simply reloads. For example, in a thread, I want to see page 2 to see if there are new comments. I click the 2 in the page buttons (the one with numbers and arrows for previous/next page), then the page reloads and the 1st page is still shown. Same for any number I click on. Strangely, this doesn't happen when I click the "Last Page" button...
I'm assuming this is either a bug or something wrong on my end, but I don't know which.

Not the case here. Please refer to attached screenshots; file names show how fast the shots were taken i.e. pages also loaded very fast.
Maybe a browser issue on your side?
EDIT: Just tested via XDA Labs, too. No issues. Please refer to additionally added screenshots.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I was wondering if it was site-wide or just me. I guess it's just me, but I don't know why. It could be my browser (I could try on another browser just in case).

It's not just you. The site is basically unusable for me too. Firefox on Android.
EDIT: Didn't see that this was an old thread, my forums are really messed up. My bad.
This should be fixed now. Let me know if it isn't.
