So tonight I was bored and wanted to try a new rom, I backed up my current Pacman rom, and went to install rootbox, installation finished succesfully, but when the rom was booting, the bootanimation froze, and suddendly I got this Blue Screen saying the following:
Subsystem Crash!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DemiGod Crash Handler : Subsystem Crash! : External_modem (Undefined error)
Press key to choose Dload Mode/Reboot/Fastboot
1)Volume Up: Dload Mode.
2) Volume Down: Reboot.
3) Power: Fastboot.
If you choose Dload Mode,
Please do following action.
1)Dload Mode. Please connect USB
2) Get the ram dump image using QCT's Memory Debug App
3) Send em-mail to contact point or [email protected].
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and just below this there are like 8 lines of pure random letters and symbols like "\Zp0ieKjmKxp {(<--51m<rZ--mZi.p0.mKp0x" etc etcetc
So I wiped everything(including format system) and tried reinstalling the rom, got the same result.
Wiped everything again and restored my nandroid backup of PacMan ROM, SAME THING HAPPENED, SAME ERROR ON BOOTANIMATION OF MY PREVIOUS ROM.
So I went ahead and wiped everything again! but now I restored the Stock LG 4.1.2 rom nandroid backup I had from last week, it booted just fine, but the phone didnt reognize my sim card, and after like 3 minutes botted The screen turned off and THE SAME ERROR APPEARED, but this time saying "Kernel Crash!"
Rebooted and the phone booted again just fine, and after like 5 minutes AGAIN SUBSYSTEM CRASH! it ends up happening every time.
The phone boots into recovery, fastboot, download mode, just fine.
I just have no idea on what to do now, I've googled everything but I have found no solutions or helpful information whatsoever, I don''t know what I did wrong, please guys I hope you can help me with this one, I cannot afford a new phone right know, thanks!
EDIT1: After different attempts with wiping and flashing roms and restoring backups with no luck, I was able to boot in my pacmanrom by flashing a different kernel, specifically, Kite Kernel 30, with this kernel the rom boots and it works just fine, although I got a couple of random reboots without the error previously pointed, but the problem is that MY PHONE DOESN'T RECOGNIZE MY SIM CARD ANYMORE, No matter what I do, pull it out pull it in, the phone doesnt even do anything, is like nothing is happening, I have wifi signal but no sim recognition.
Im trying to understand what this problem is all about, how flashing a different kernel made the rom boot? With Kite kernel it boots, but when i flash the old f93 kernel I used for weeks the phone wont boot, i get the same error in the bootanimation.
Please I need some feedback on this, this forum is so dead :S
Can you try kdz back to stock? If it happens after that then send it on repair, as long as you kdz back they can't see what you have done.
Man I live in freakin Venezuela, If I send my phone to LG, best case scenario im gonna get it back(or replaced) in like 3 months -_- I need to fix this on my own
So I used the KDZ to go back to stock firmware, and the phone boots, but in reboots all the time and my sim card is not recognized! Man did I screw up my device so hard?

Just stating a probability here. But not sure. Maybe its not that ur phone isn't recognising the sim. Maybe u just have the wrong radios. Try flashing a radio for ur model.

I've been using CM10.1 for 1 month since I bought my Optimus G and it was great. No crashes and it was a joy to use. Today I started getting this message with the phone rebooting itself after a couple of seconds. I tried a wipe and flash CM10.1 again from scratch but I cannot get it fixed. The phone keeps rebooting over and over again. Now I'm trying to flash the stock rom but it doesn;t work as the phone keeps rebooting all the time. The LG support tool doesn't even connect to it long enough. Any suggestions?

Dude I managed to flash the stock ROM in download mode with the tool but the phone had the same issue, kept rebooting no matter what I did , tried everything and nothing solved it, took it to warranty and they fixed it by replacing the logic board...

Used the LG oficial tool, but put the phone in download mode first
The phone goes in download mode fine but the LG Tool doesn't recognize it's connected. I tried to use this other tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44186257 but the phone just restarts into fastboot and doesn't do anything.
I forgot to mention I used this tool before to try and re-flash CM10: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230994 . Now I don't even get the LG logo at boot anymore, just a Google logo.

UPDATE:
I managed to install stock using the KDZ Updater. When it begins the process the phone reboots into fasboot and I guess the KDZ Updater doesn't know what do to after that. With the KDZ Updater still running on the computer I just disconnected the phone and put it back in Download Mode. After that KDZ Updater started to do its thing and re-flashed stock! Now I can send the phone for repair and use the warranty
I have same issues with my LGE-975, EU version.
This can happen once per month. Or 10 times a day
It's clean install, did it two times just to be sure. Updated baseband from 10b to 10d. So now it's

no imei, no download mode, no recovery, can't KDZ, can't use plash tool,
Hi , I'm not really new here, only I've been reading quite a while whithout subscribing.
I live in the netherlands, work as boat mechanic.
My phone is LG C660 optimus pro, became slow and wifi got an error, won't turn on anymore, suddenly.
I tried to move to cyanomod, mainly to see whether it would fix wifi error, and I had cyanomod previously on my sony ericsson experia mini pro.
at the moment I have to use the sony again,
my LG C660 optimus pro is near bricked...
I did root it, went fine, ran clockworkmod recovery, also fine, then I tried to put on cyanomod stable version through MOD manager, went wrong somehow,
I now only get LG logo and it stays there.(it does get into emergency mode)
tried to reflash original using KDZ updater, program runs, have the firmware, finds connection witch my phone only if in emergency mode
(got modem disabled in system of windows)
KDZ starts working but errors and phone has no change
here's the log from KDZ :

Hi,
I have an LG P930 sitting on my desk that has a completely unresponsive touch screen. Here's the background information:
person says he ran an OS update for his Bell P930 to take it from GB to ICS;
right after the upgrade, the screen does not respond and can't unlock the phone because the phone doesn't respond to his pressing on the screen;
he thought his digitizer had suddenly failed so he installed a replacement digitizer and the phone still doesn't respond to button presses;
he Googled and saw that some people had this problem after an OS upgrade but couldn't figure out how to load another OS;
I got the phone and tried a couple of unbricking guides and loaded the AT&T 18f rom onto the phone;
the AT&T 18f flash was successful, phone rebooted to the setup screen, but pressing on the language, next, or emergency call button does nothing; and
the volume and power buttons work.
Since it doesn't work with the original and replacement digitizer, could it be the motherboard itself or is the software messed up? I'm not sure what else to try since a P930 motherboard would be too expensive.
Update:
I tried installing a Bell rom via LG updater tool. It downloads, installs, but the phone hangs at the boot screen with the LG logo when I restart.
I then used the exe found in Hereric's unbrick package and it loads onto the phone but, at the setup screen, every button I press doesn't work.
I then tried using the LG updater tool and changed the country to USA, it updates to v10f, restarts, but doesn't boot to the setup screen and just hangs at the LG logo.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you.

hey buddy my nitro did the same thing. its root and unlocked so i can install any rom, but the touch doesnt work. even unbricked it twice. installed almost every rom.. boots up but when it gets to the langauge the next button it wont work. so i use my exhibit 4g now. the lg nitro is a nice phone but kinda sucks because of force closes and random restarts. exhibit 4g and aoip is flawless. i'm kinda glad it happened but if u find a fix holla..

I'm still searching for an answer with no luck. I may have to take it to a service centre and pay the diagnostic fee.
Did your phone become unresponsive after a software update? If not, how did it happen. I'm curious.
Thanks for sharing.

well sorta, i mean i was always reflashing roms. usually the cyanogen nightlies, jellybam.. but after i flashed the last nightly the touch wouldn't work. but this was about a month ago. i tried unbrick, flashing gingerbread, ics, and jellybean.. they all installed properly with no problems but no touch. i've the phone pretty much since it came out and rooted it right away. so i either flashed it to death or it was just the natural end of life for the device.., i'm not sure. let me know what the diagnostic turns up.

I had the same problem with unresponsive touchscreen. Used the unbrick method from the top of this forum. Make sure to rename kdz file and leave Korea as a country. Those are steps not mention in the guide. That will fix the touch.

Your screen became unresponsive after a software upgrade too? Following the guide made it work again? That would be awesome.
I had a look at the guide and I didn't see anything about having to rename the kdz file. Could you point it out for me? Thanks.
Just make sure it ends in _00, for example v10f_00.kdz

I understand. I tried that Korean room in both guides and neither rom boots after a successful flash. I'll try again tonight. I've spent hours try to get it to work and I'm tempted to just recycle it
I wonder if paying a cell shop to flash it would solve the issue.

Yes, I got the phone to play with, after failed upgrade attempt (official update).
I run the unbrick process and got stuck in 4% and rebooted phone in emergency screen. Touchscreen was unresponsive.
Then re-read the thread and found the suggestions with renaming and keep the country as 'Korean'

Yes through the install of the kdz. Choose Korea as the country and English as the language. It is needed to complete the process properly.

didn't work. tried it four times.. the optimus rom flashes but still no touch. the update completed fully each time no freezes at 90 percent, or 4 percent, 100 percent each time. after that your suppose to go to the settings and set up usb but i cant cuz no touch. thanks for the tips but i guess its just my phone.
I downloaded and used the files from Machzelet's guide and it flashed the su640 rom very quickly and, when it re-booted, it looked like it still had the 18f rom from Hereric's guide even though it seems to have flashed the Korean rom without any errors.
Tried under WinXP since I had luck in the past using XP rather than Win 7 but I still had no luck.
I forgot to save the logs but I could probably go back a re-run the program and save the logs if that would help.
Would taking it to a repair shop be any different than me trying to flash the rom in emergency or recovery mode?
Edit: I tried to flash the Korean rom again and it looks to have worked because I see the Optimus LTE icon with the spinning pink "candy cane", then it boots and I see the time (which is incorrect) and the purple grapes in the background. Unfortunately, the screen still doesn't respond to touches.
Also, I had to change the select type to CDMA; otherwise, I could not get the CSE web upgrade test button to work.

yeah mine did that too. i didn't think it would work, its more than likely we have bad screens and digitizers that have to be replace. like 30 or 40 bucks online for replacement. probably cost double if u take it somewhere to be fixed. suck, i kinda had my hopes up when this thread started cuz its what happended to mine. only wish gazelle.com would take it..

I did get the Korean rom onto the phone, at least it booted up and I see the purple grapes but the touch doesn't respond. My digitizer definitely works because I tested it on another phone. Oh well, I tried and I don't want to spend anymore time or money on it.
Not met this situation
I had that problem as well, the fix was actually allot simpler than I thought run the phone from a 100% battery in download mode with a cloth or something covering it so it super heats when it finally dies put it in the fridge to cool it charge the phone and try reflashing using herrics guide or whichever unbrick works best for you... and yes the Korean country is vital depending on the kdz u choose to flash its stupid but its an lg thing I had the same problem with my optimus 3d before I sold it and my nitro before it got facefraked

Turned out to be a hardware problem with the phone motherboard.
Hey guys,
So I just got an Optimus G today ... and really wanted to get rid of LG's software and get Cyanogen on it. I have had Androids before and had a fair idea about what I was getting myself into.
But ... well ...
I rooted it and flashed a new recovery without unlocking the bootloader Yepp... silly!
This resulted in a Secure Booting Error. Cause: boot certification verify
I googled around a bit and figure that I can fix this by flashing the stock firmware using a KDZ Updater ... so I started down that path.
1. Downloaded the KDZ Updater from here .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44874388&postcount=36
2. And a firmware KDZ file from here http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=20 ... it was 1.08 GB.
3. Now when I tried to update - it basically gave me an extracting error
4. More googling led to me figuring out that this is because my Firmware file is over 1 Gig! So I did this method next, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2388440
5. This led to me downloading a Flashing tool etc. and an all important LG Mobile Support Tool B2CAppSetup.exe.
6. The flashing tool does not work unless the LG Mobile Support tool has been installed. And herein lies the problem, I cannot install this tool for everytime it gives me a small popup saying "TO CHECK FOR SOFTWARE UPGRADES YOU NEED TO CONNECT YOUR PC TO THE INTERNET, AND PRESS CONTINUE"
I am on Win 7 Pro x64 ... and have tried all compatibility modes etc ... The drivers are installed properly and working. Windows makes a ding noise when I plug my phone in The phone is able to go into download mode etc. So I think things aren't too bad ... but ... I can't figure out how to install LG Mobile Support tool/B2CAppSetup.exe
I think the reason may be that this file communicates with a server at http://cmsg.lgmobiles.com/ or something like that to get the latest firmware - but LG may have taken that site down - which is also a reason why I had to download the firmware KDZ file from a third party website because all links to the LG websites were down. This may just be a hunch ... but its all I have for now.
Can anyone help? Thanks much appreciated.
[UPDATE]
Managed to get it to work, all I had to do was disable Windows firewall and open port 9002 on my router.
But there is yet another problem. When I try to use the flashtool I get the following error:

as you didnt unlock your bootloader .. you can use lg software upgrade tool ..just press upgrade recovery.......it will download the rom and will flash itself....... dont need to worry bro... if your phone didnt boot just connect the phone to pc... and then power it on holding volume up and down simultaneously. you will enter download mode... then run software upgrade tool... your phone will be detected.. then go to upgrade recovery.... it worked for me.. hope works for you too..
Greetings
So now I have completed two months of trials trying to fix this thing. I figured it's time to post something.
I have an LG G3 D855 32GB GCC (As it says on the box). The device was not booting so I tried removing the battery for a couple of minutes and putting it back. It worked for a while but now it's dead. I changed the battery and it's still the same thing.
I searched around and found people suggesting flashing the TOT file. So I went to download mode (it used to go there ) tried flashing and I got an error. I don't recall the error to be honest.
Now the device won't boot and won't show the download mode screen. However, it gets recognized as "LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port".
I tried the KDZ method and it doesn't work. The TOT method gives me the errors below:
When I use LGUP8974.dll
PID: NULL
IMEI: NULL
[ 9: 2:27] CrossDL [] to [D855]. SWersion[]
000000064
Error: [ 9: 2:27] CrossDL [] to [D855]. SWersion

PID: NULL
IMEI: NULL
Model :
DLL : D855
SWV :
SWOV :
Model Information Check FAIL !
I'm not sure how bad the situation is or what exactly I'm doing wrong. I tried searching and trying everything and none is working.
Notes:
I'm not sure if I'm using a proper TOT the one I'm using says (LGD855AT-00-V10e-EUR-XX-JUL-08-2014-32G+0.tot)
Searching using my IMEI in a website resulted with the SW (D85530D_00)
have u resolved the issue ?
