Is there anything like the S-View case, but for Moto X? Something that covers the screen, but with a little plastic window on it in the middle so you can see the Active Display.
I have not seen anything like that. I think the window would be too big.

Just a quick question couldn't see anything on the search,
Is there any cases like the official one which doesn't obstruct the screen face or edges and just grabs it but doesn't scratch the device?
Try the Case-mate barely there case. I have it and love it. Thin and doesn't scratch the housing.
Reefhunter what is the case texture, I still need a case but am looking for thin yet grippy. Thanx!

It's the screen on this machine delicate? I have not owned a case that covers the screen on a phone in decades but the guy at the Sprint store for new worried saying that was fine for my evo screen but this screen needs protection.. it's he just trying to make a sale or is this something i need to worry about. Also do you thing a screen protector is needed as well..have but used one of those since screens stopped requiring a stylus..

Android Authority dropped this sucker 3 times with minor scratches...I don't think its too delicate. However, don't drop it on the face (but that's any device, really). Be careful with screen protectors, because some will affect the way the S-pen operates. I think you want to stay away from wet applied protectors like Zagg, if I am correct.

thanks
All screens are delicate actually. I even broke the gorilla glass from my motorola defy accidentally. Use a silicone carcase, it's nasty but help to keep alive your phone.
Screen is larger, phone is heavier, that probably means it would break easier when dropped compared with smaller and lighter phones

I grabbed the case from the store that flips over as I know with it being so big I will put my keys in that pocket. If there is a magnetic one coming out I will grab that instead but for now I highly suggest the flap/case as learning to handle it is new for most of us.

I do not like flip cases. I want to be able to see my phone screen immediately. Sigh

I was thinking of modding the flipcase to cutout a section near the top, where the clock is positioned, to add a piece of mildly stiff flexible clear vinyl (like you get at a fabric store, they have different thickness).
I'll have to see. Don't want to make the cutout too large and have the cover be flimsy.
I have that case. Its nice, but risky to one hand open. Screen feels safe though.

Flip case doesn't protect the sides. When a phone is dropped, 9 out of 10 times it going to hit a corner of the phone. All sides of the phone are exposed with the flip case. I have one, its is nice looking but its just for home. When i go outside it will always have a gel case, just in case.

I started to type "that would defeat the purpose because it shuts off the screen" but I see your genius... You can push the wake button really quick and glance at the time without flipping. I'm wondering though, does the flip cover ignore the button when the magnet is in place?

Can't you buy a cheap clear TPU bumper to put on your flip case? Just trim the side a bit where the flip cover "hinge" is if needed?

Anyone bought this case from eBay and would like to share their two cents on?

Looks like a decent thin case that actually has protection at the top. Looking to pull the trigger on this one.
Wow looks great! Do they have a clear one?

yep. i need that
Thin!! :good:
$5.99?? I got the 0.3mm cases at $1.50 each.
There's also a thread discussing it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2604742.
I have this case, it is very thin, its not TPU but still flexible. The finish is quite good, there weren't any sharp edges on the two black ones I got. The black one isn't see through. I wanted to get a clear one but they were out of stock, but from my previous experience with white/clear cases they discolour extremely easily.
It does get scratched, I have a few minor scratch marks on the back just from putting the phone in the car's cup holder, glove box etc. but you do need the right light to see them.
The case has raised edges around the screen such that the screen wont touch a table when placed flat on top of it. These edges also trap a lot of dust and make it hard to clean.
After a while dust gets under the case but so far it hasn't caused any damage to the phone.
Overall its a good case but you should think of it as a sacrificial item that'll degrade through use. Also, don't expect it to save your phone from a drop. It'll protect the phone from scratches at most.
Hope this helps you guys decide whether to buy or not.
Didn't like it
I bought the case you're talking about. I didn't like it very much. The fit is mediocre. The button cutouts are small, so it's hard to push the buttons. The main issue is that it just doesn't feel good to touch. The material is similar to the textured plastic you get on report covers. Most of this was mentioned in the thread someone linked to above. For me, the quicksand cases are way better and only slightly bulkier.
It looks nice

I'm using this, it's soft plastic. Not even a hard case. So don't expect any protection on shock.

I just wanted to know how you guys rock your phone.
Case and tempered glass screen protector
I have a magnet on my dashboard & of course any iron or steel surface is a sticky mount. I even left it on my car top for wiz around the freeways.
The red version is sans any carbon black. This "dye" is what makes the black version have such a short life. The red needs a sometimes, weekly scrubbing.
I also have the Sparin glass, fabulous it is.
Only with the style shell, nothing else

I do not use any protection.
Hi, I'm specifically looking for a thin case that does not have a raised lip at the bottom. I use gestures to navigate and find the bottom lip really gets in the way, so if anyone can recommend "lipless" case I'd be really grateful.

I use the UAG Monarch case for my S10+. While it does have a little lol at the bottom to protect the screen when face down, it doesn't at all get in my way of using Navigation Gestures. In fact, I feel that it helps when in a dark environment cuz I know if I touch my finger on the lip and then swipe up, I'll activate the gestures.
Also, the sides are recessed enough to keep the curved screen feel of the phone, and I've dropped my phone from several feet several times with no noticeable damage.
How thin of a case are you looking for? Look a MNML cases mnmlcase.com.
