Moto clone case - Xoom Accessories

Just a quick question couldn't see anything on the search,
Is there any cases like the official one which doesn't obstruct the screen face or edges and just grabs it but doesn't scratch the device?

Try the Case-mate barely there case. I have it and love it. Thin and doesn't scratch the housing.

Reefhunter what is the case texture, I still need a case but am looking for thin yet grippy. Thanx!

Looking for a thin case to fit my EVO+case in my pouch holster

I am using this pouch holster from Hedocell:
http://www.hedocell.com/Default.asp?prodid=33589786
(By the way, the black case of this and the red one are different sizes. I don't know if that is a standard or some mistake but it sorta works. The black one doesn't protect the edges of the phone but the phone in the holster is not meant to drop so... no biggy i guess. I like the red one though. it's great and protects the bottom edges. Perfect fit.
and I was looking for a case to fit my Evo and still be able to use my holster.
I was considering the rubberized case from handhelditems.com but had a question or two.
http://www.handhelditems.com/rubberized-shield-snap-hard-case-black-p-135999.html
Does anyone have this case? It looks pretty thin, is it? does it prevent the back camera issue? (where the camera lens lays on the surface, possible future scratches) Is it thick enough so the camera isn't touching the table?
Thanks for the help/feedback!
My sprint body glove case is thin enough.

I just got this case in today, and it looks great!
It doesn't add very much to the size of the phone and is thin on the back.
It barely prevents the camera from touching the surface. A little less than a millimeter (cutting it close) but it's a great case. It fits in my holster but it's a fairly tight fit and a hard to get out. I'm sure the case will stretch out and be easier to use together.

Carbon Fiber case

Hey guys,
Did anyone order the carbon fiber case? I want to know if it's that rubberized material, like the battery cover, G1, etc...
The one from Verizon?
If so, I have it, and its a hard case, not rubberized
i think he meant the finish. is it slick on the back or rubberized?
Now that I feel it again, it is a rubber back, but a very thin rubber. I can press my fingernail into it and it makes an impression. It feels more like plastic then rubber though. The carbon fiber design is imprinted in the rubber.
Just to add my two cents, the quality of the case is pretty good. As mentioned before, it's more of a plastic feel. Hard rubber or softer plastic.
The case snaps together very securely and has plenty of room for the hdmi/usb/headphone jack.
I've got bigger fingers so the physical buttons on the side are a little difficult to press, but you can get used to it. Also, when touching the extreme sides of the screen, the case gets in the way a little.
All things said, I'd recommend the case.

Yes, the case is cut very well and is secure when snapped into place
The x will not fit in the car dock with this case. The hard plastic case is an extremely tight squeeze but will work. I like how the carbon imitation case looks and feels. My two cents....

I got one a couple of days ago. To me it seems more like some sort of vinyl than rubber or hard plastic. It's got an ok grip, but isn't so grippy that it'll catch my pocket when I take it out, like actual rubber cases I used previously on iphones.
One thing I thought was funny, though... it's obviously not made of carbon fiber and that the pattern has just been stamped or molded. But, the box says "carbon fiber" and not "carbon fiber style" It actually said it in two places, I think. It'd be like something being labeled "leather" when it's actually leatherette or PVC. Not complaining, just think it's amusing.
It is carbon fiber, its just not embedded in the normal gel people are used to seeing on cars. Its a layer that is over a plastic case. Do you know how much it would cost to produce a true cf case or even a dry carbon fiber case? I know someone who works with composites and its a very tedious job, not to mention not very forgiving.

There is a full carbon fiber case out there, but its not cheap. It'll set you back $119 just for the case.
Carbon Fiber also does not protect the phone from drops and scratches easily. I imagine that it's really good at not not breaking though, so if you get a bit of roid rage and want to take it out on your phone case, this is the one to get!
What is it called?????

Silicon cases - dust and lint

Do all silicon cases when you put it in your pocket the screen collects a lot more dust and lint around the phone where the case meets the bezel?
I got this case from Verizon wireless, i think it the high gloss one.
I love the case because it fits perfectly doesn't make the phone too big. While not sure how well it will protect if i drop it, the biggest plus is, it gives me a better grip and does not slide out of hand so i will not drop it.
Every time I pull the phone out of pocket has tons of dust and lint and so hard to clean without taking the case off.
So I am curious anyone have any recommendations for a similar silicon case that will not attract all that dust while in the pocket?
Thanks
I have the same case and don't really have an issue. Maybe you should put a canned air in your other pocket to blow it off each time you pull it out. ^_^

I have a S-line TPU case from ebay, I find a lot of dust and fluff sticking to the edges in my pocket, but it doesn't bother me, maybe I just have really dirty pockets!
Yeah, I get a lot of dust and lint in there too. I use the amzer case with the Verizon screen protectors.

Interesting thing is if I go naked with nexus it does not attract much dust.
Something to do with the silicon.

Should avoid silicone cases. They are dust magnets and will start stretching soon. Tpu's are way better and cost the same.

Thanks any recommendation which one?
I never heard of TPU that is new to me. What does that stand for?
Maybe I will return this case since it was $24.99
TPU wikipedia link, fantastic material! Plenty of cases on eBay for only a few pounds!

Very much so. Silicone is always a lint magnet especially if you pocket your phone.
I got myself the Barely There Case in black by Case-Mate. Was about to get the Otterbox Commuter but was worried that it would make the phone too big to hold with one hand.
Thanks everyone I went for one of the TPU forgot name starts with a D, rev 3..for I think $10 off amazon.
Will return this one at verizon once I get it
I use the Verizon silicon case too and found the same issue. Thats why I empty out my jacket's pocket completely before putting my phone in.
All the Same
I find the TPU cases to be nearly as good at concentrating dust on screens as silicone. It seems more a function of the protective lip protruding around the edge of the screen than the material it's made of. A dirty phone is just the price one pays for trying to protect it.

0.3mm Ultra Thin Light Cover Case Skin from eBay

Anyone bought this case from eBay and would like to share their two cents on?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blackclear-...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item2587f29e30
Looks like a decent thin case that actually has protection at the top. Looking to pull the trigger on this one.
Wow looks great! Do they have a clear one?

yep. i need that
Thin!! :good:
$5.99?? I got the 0.3mm cases at $1.50 each.
There's also a thread discussing it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2604742.
I have this case, it is very thin, its not TPU but still flexible. The finish is quite good, there weren't any sharp edges on the two black ones I got. The black one isn't see through. I wanted to get a clear one but they were out of stock, but from my previous experience with white/clear cases they discolour extremely easily.
It does get scratched, I have a few minor scratch marks on the back just from putting the phone in the car's cup holder, glove box etc. but you do need the right light to see them.
The case has raised edges around the screen such that the screen wont touch a table when placed flat on top of it. These edges also trap a lot of dust and make it hard to clean.
After a while dust gets under the case but so far it hasn't caused any damage to the phone.
Overall its a good case but you should think of it as a sacrificial item that'll degrade through use. Also, don't expect it to save your phone from a drop. It'll protect the phone from scratches at most.
Hope this helps you guys decide whether to buy or not.
Didn't like it
I bought the case you're talking about. I didn't like it very much. The fit is mediocre. The button cutouts are small, so it's hard to push the buttons. The main issue is that it just doesn't feel good to touch. The material is similar to the textured plastic you get on report covers. Most of this was mentioned in the thread someone linked to above. For me, the quicksand cases are way better and only slightly bulkier.
It looks nice

I'm using this, it's soft plastic. Not even a hard case. So don't expect any protection on shock.

Case?

Ok, Any cases like the cruzerlite spiforce that has ridges on the side, but a flat back and no kickstand like their bug Droid or like a traditional tpu case? Kind of like the bumper case but with ridges on the sides for easy secure gripping?
