Since I freeze apps like Facebook when I'm not running it because it stays open in the background, this is app was what I was looking for....it saves a few steps.
It disables apps you choose completely when you're not using it.
I think there's a fee other apps that do the same thing...

Edit: there's an article about it on Android Police.

Is there any such app that works on un-rooted phones?
Anyone know a way to find designed for tablet apps in the play store. I seem to remember a drop down box that you could separate tablet apps from all. But can't seem to find anything now
I have posted in a couple threads about this and there are at least a few people on here wondering how to get the tablet apps on the Nexus 7. There is no way to do what you are saying though - the problem is that Google Play doesn't see the Nexus 7 as a tablet but just a phone. <--- that's IMO.
i think this is the app you want https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tablifiedapps.tablifiedmarket
If you open the app store and click on apps, then swipe to the left where it says top paid, top free ...etc etc. Then you will see the drop down menu that says all apps and then designed for tablets

That's what I've seen before but now my nexus won't display it just looks like it does on my phone. Tried restarting the tablet and clearing the data but still won't show that drop down box
What play store version are you running? Mines 4.3.11

That's the version I have as well. It's not cos I have a nexus 4 on the same login is it ?
I wouldn't think so, the app should detect if it's a tablet or phone. That's weird yours doesn't.

It is odd , i thought id seen it before hence starting the thread. But like you cant understand why its stopped appearing on the store now. Might see if i can raise a bug report with google about it

Dude, is there something like that as well??? I haven't sensed that anything since being on Android. I think that it provides a list of compatible apps only on the top. Well if you just get to know the trick then just share your experience here as well.

Click on Top paid, Top free... ect, and you'll have the choice.
There's something running in the background called Fused Location that is eating up a lot of battery and even though I used Google I still couldn't quite understand how to disable it or what it is exactly. Ive had the phone for quite some time but never saw it before.
Any info? Thanks

Have you tried a reboot ? I believe fused location has to do with GPS...

My GPS is turned off and yes I've tried rebooting to no avail.

I didn't find a fix... But I didn't read everything either.
Google "fused location android". Found quite a few things about it. ?
I got prompted to allow this app to "update at anytime" yesterday. Today I'm getting prompted to update the app through the play store. Anyone know what this app is and will it affect the ability to obtain root when a way is found? It says Samsung security policies app and affects SE policies. Sounds like a way for them to "plug holes" without updating the whole system.

Freeze SDM.apk with this or this and it won't bother you anymore. It's the OTA updater.
