you might need to configure the POP server on your gmail account
it worked just fine until I restored it from unity... Up until then, it was great!

Happens every now and then when flashing ROMs, go into Settings/Applications/Manage Applications and delete cache and then data; you'll need to do a quick setup and let it resync but, it'll work after that.

I've been having the same issues. Uninstall, reinstall, cleared cache and data - none of that works. =/ would LOVE to get this resolved!

Glad I could help; still haven't figured out what's causing it though. Sometimes it happens after flashing a new ROM, sometimes it doesn't; sometimes it just randomly happens :/

Funny, I just had the same happen to me yesterday (Gmail wouldn't send). Its happened to me before, but it was months ago. So I forgot the fix, and had to Google around for it a bit. Kinda funny to see it here today.
I figured out my problem. I was reinstalling all my apps with titanium. Once I reinstalled the rom and reinstalled apps one by one via market - gmail was fixed. =)

Do any of you by chance reinstall system data too? Or just apps and data?

menu, settings, apps, manage apps, find playstore, clear cache, clear data, then find one called google services, clear cache, clear data, reboot while standing on one foot covered in peanut butter saying I'm a dirty little midget, and you should be good to go.

It's known to cause similar issues to this. Jeremy's steps should fix it. Give that a try.

Just to clarify, you want to wipe data and cache on Google Services Framework. I just got this issue yesterday on PA, none of that fixed it, even reflashing gapps didn't work, ended up wiping and reflashing everything.
The only thing you have to do is delete the google update and you be fine.

For some reason I can't download or update apps through the play store.
It just says "downloading" but nothing happens.
I've tried to clear data, cache and uninstall update but nothing seems to work. Is anyone facing the same problem??

Try to flash another rom:highfive:
Try pressing the 'x' to the right of the download progress bar of whichever app it says is downloading. Also, try pressing the app icon that is downloading to go to its page in the play store. One of these two usually works for me.
For some reason my play store keeps crashing, I've tried rebooting my phone, even clearing the data and ram from the play store... I don't get it..

Rooted? Rom? Kernel? Mods?
Have you cleared data and uninstalled updates? Then reboot and give it time to reupdate?
Try to Remove google account and re-enter info.
If no go then Reflash your rom

Completely stock, nothing custom. I've tried clearing it from the apps. I'll try to uninstall updates.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Tried deleting the play updates, still same issue.. this is so frustrating.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
You may need to do the same on some other Google apps such as Google services framework and maybe a couple others that work along side the play store app. Can't remember them all right off hand.
When you say you're completely stock does this also mean you are not rooted? If you are rooted you can use titanium backup to backup all Google apps and data. Then clear data one by one till you find the culprit and then restore data for everything else.
Did you try deleting your account?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Completely stock, as I'm not rooted or anything. I tried everything, then I factory reset and its fixed.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Glad you got it fixed. I figured a factory reset would do it but was trying to help avoid it. But sometimes it's the only way....
