The B.United 3 is a recently released handset from the company Be (owned by EMS), aimed at emerging markets and currently available in several countries including Poland, where I bought my handset. The company website offers next to no technical support, so be very careful when doing modifications to the software! Software damage is not covered under warranty and there are no official tools to repair broken software and it doesn't look like there ever will be. We can only hope that some crafty person performs a ROM Dump of the stock firmware just in case.
Fun facts:
a) The device does have some sort of factory recovery menu. The catch is that it's entirely in chinese. It's accessed by switching off the phone and then pressing and holding the vol- button as you turn it back on. Unfortunately I don't know chinese so I have no clue what any of the menu items are, but If anyone's interested I can upload a photo of the items in the menu for translation. Once you root your device and enable the option to reboot into recovery, you can access the Android Recovery Menu (that one is in english). The vol+ button is the Enter key and you can scroll down the menu with the vol- button, Home button does nothing and the power button hides all text for some reason. I'm sure there's a key combination to access the recovery mode without rooting, I haven't discovered it yet.
b) As mentioned earlier, the warranty is instantly void once you root your device. You can get it back by unrooting and uninstalling any modifications you made to the system. Thus it is not reccomended to uninstall system apps.
c) I am not responsible if you somehow brick your phone! This worked for my phone but I cannot guarantee that it will work for yours. If you follow this guide, you're doing it at your own risk!
d) The software and hardware configuration may vary from device to device. It happens with these small unknown manufacturers. This method may even brick your phone so remember to proceed with caution, make a backup and hope for the best.
PREREQUISITES:
1. Enabled Unknown Sources
2. Enabled ADB (just in case!)
This short guide will show you how to quickly and painlessly root this rather capable device. The steps are are as follows:
1. Enable installation of non-market apps.
2. Download Framaroot from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/framaroot/root-framaroot-one-click-apk-to-root-t2130276
3. Run Framaroot, and perform the Barahir exploit if available. Boromir will not work.
4. Reboot and voila! Your B.United 3 is now rooted!
Feel free to install Busybox after you've rooted and enjoy your newfound capabilities!
EDIT: I am in the process of a ROM Dump, I will post results soon enough.

Hi all
I'm going to buy the Asus zenfone 2 551ml and i have just a little problem.
I have seen how soft buttons are placed on the smartphone and i think that the back button could be too far to reach with one hand. i know that there is the one hand mode but regrdless this, i wanna ask 2 main things:
1) Performing the root on the smartphone i will loose the warranty?
2)with the root and by means the usage of an 3rd part app or xposed frameworkd, is possible perform a re-mapping of these buttons?
Thanks to all
Best regards
Root usually means you lose warranty. App ops does work with root. You can already customize switch apps button a bit.

There isn't a custom recovery yet for this phone, but root should allow you to unroot which may restore your warranty. The warranty is only for the original country. If you buy a TW version and you live outside Taiwan you don't have a warranty.
Also the phone has one handed mode that give you on screen buttons. You can customize the size. Some games don't work, but stock apps do. See attachment.

I have a question regarding pre-root. Say I flash the pre-root rom using adb since there is no custom recovery, if I want to go back to stock, I just unroot thru the superSU or which ever root app? Or Can I also flash the stock rom downloaded from Asus to convert it to stock?
Hello XDA-Community!
After roundabout 8 Weeks of using my LG G4 (last year), it was demaged and restarted all over without a reason - so I contakted my provider for a repair - it was sended to w-support(.com) - it returned but wasn't repaired. Only thing that changed was, that I had Android v5.1 against v5.1.1 before the *repair* and the continuesly restarts were still happening. I tired to enter the Recovery-Mode by button-combination, but this wasn't possible... same for the Hardreset... so I was forced to enter the Hardreset by the running OS - this worked.
(After it was sended directly to LG-Support, it came back and worked again as it should, without 300 restarts a day... some memory-unit was demaged on the bord... however it fine now... BUT...)
Now ... I want to get back this STOCK-RECOVERY-MODE because I want to root this phone now! - last week I was able, after the contakt to LG-Support, to get the Android Update by OTA - for some reason, there are still devices which aren't able to get this update (even by PC-Software), because of something coupled with the IMEI (because the support asked for my IMEI and after only 1 day, I saw the update-info on my screen[?]!). Still strange sh**, but okay however, finally I got the update, but now I am struggled by the problem of the missing Recovery-Mode... what the Hell may I am able to do, to get things running??
I tried the "fastboot" or "LG-Method", by ADB-Connection to the PC, to unlock the Bootloader, but cmd isn't able to find my device, that's the first problem, why I am unable to unlock my bootloader directly, by the LG-Method (let's say LG-Method, because of the steps you have to make on the LG-Website, okay).
So all methods, based on the official Bootloader-UNLOCk are out for me... so what is left or do I have to recover the Recovery-Mode - and if I have to, then please tell me how!^^
By the way - after W-Support repaired my older LG G2 - there's also no Recovery-Mode anymore and also the Hardreset is bombed away, but device runs nicely! - There, I was able to get rootaccess back, by nvflash!
I hope, that I can get help here... this turns me scary as crazy!^^
SW-Update-Mode is availlable by Volume Down, without the battery - coupled to the PC... but the other method, by Volume Up and Power On-Button isn't availlable (?!)... so strange... what they had done to my phone?! - This wasn't meaned by the task to "REPAIR" the phone...
Some (mostly) needed information:

Baseband-Version: MPSS.BO.2.5.c3-00101-M8992FAAAAnAZM-1.31581.1
Kernel-Version: 3.10.84
Build-Number: MRA58K
Software-Version: V20d-EUR-XX
I'm looking forward to your replies!
With friendly special thanks,

>>>EDITED!<<<
Hello again Ladies and Gents,
As far as I am now, I was finally able to find my device below "adb devices", but now I got the thread with the PRE-Rooted System.img:
Link1: Click me!
and
Link2: Click me!
> question is now: "Is this compatible with my device?" - Because, I read "Problem may be because of latest OTA..." - this means the Android vX.X.X -> But which one they got to get the problem as same for the Method itselfs, isn't named in which ANDROID VERSION(S) - this Method is working or NOT!

Happy about any responses to me! - As you can see, but only if I do understand this method the right, it might be a method without the unlock of the bootloader, right?
With friendly greeting again,
Reaper
I've seen couple of question on rooting this phone, here's a quick guide.
Notes:
M5 Note comes with a firmware number ending with G or A
G is global which is multiple language, as for A it is Chinese default, AND English.
Mostly the firmware by default is 5.2.11.0 Or 5.2.12.0
These firmware, modified by sellers, installed Russian. Cuts the ability to update, and getting a a permanent root is impossible. So the best solution is to immediately flash/upgrade to any current firmware.
Those with G firmware must install upgrade with G (but global version is slow in development) If your language is ENGLISH there is nothing wrong with flashing A.
G users COULD flash a to A (it needs first to root and use flashfire to flash, I would not be going into this procedure)
Flash files are named as "update.zip" Download them to your internal, with a file manager navigate to the folder where you downloaded or copied the "update.zip" and just pressing it, will prompt you to start the update procedure.
Here is the official firmware download page
https://downloads.meizufans.eu/?dir=m5note/firmware
here is the latest beta update (for A)
https://downloads.meizufans.eu/?dir=m5note/firmware/test/6.7.6.13/a
Download and upgrade as mentioned above.
After upgrade your phone will reboot, and will display CHINESE language. Find the "settings" icon, scroll down to the bottom and enter the language (identify the language icon)

when you enter this language option the first option will be languages , press and select English.
Now, you have to register a Meizu account from your phone. Go back to setting >Personal > Meizu account
Register / loging
GO backto settings > finger print & security > at the bottom under <security> you will have [Root Permission] Option! Enter and activate. (you will need to re enter Meizu password)
Congratulation you are rooted.
Now download superSU APK 2.79-SR3
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/coding...elease/supersu-2-79-sr3-android-apk-download/
(I had problem installing the latest beta (v2.82) "SU Binaries Occupied)
Install, grant root, select EXPERT MODE.
Done.
Hi, after do this, my phone can not restart, why?
any solution please ?
I think today, this can't work anymore. Meizu stopped to give access in root :/
Maybe If I success to change 6.X.X.X to 5.2.X.X, I could try your solution but how can I change that without root rights ? I'm currently running on a G version but if can try the A in english, it's not a problem for me
Thank you
im using flyme 6.2.0.0A based from 7.0,this method is not working anymore,it will make our device bootloop, the systemless root method too, because we cant access root folder now, hope this issue will fixed soon

This is simply a collection of information with some blanks filled in to allow those not as well versed in huawei/ADB as myself to rebrand. After 4 days of agony with Funkyhuawei and very little info i managed to resolve the issue myself. Primarilly, rebranding from pie on their toolkit would not work and i did not feel comfortable rebranding the more involved ways explained on here here.
You will need a membership to FH and credits. Also to have selected the same version eg 8.0.0.159 for the TARGET region. for me, i was c782 but rebranding to c432 so selected clt-l09c432 8.0.0.159
It is written with the intention of using FHRebrandTool2, as this one allows you to remain as CLT-L09 if that is your model, not force a switch to L29 even without dual sim
First, obviously, if you cant/havent unlcked FRP and bootloader, stop reading now. You're process is finished lol
Second, remove all security pins and fingerprints (developer options>require to be unlocked>off)
If you are on pie, use this incredibly simple automated script setup from @Androlark thank you my friend for this as you saved me here https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?ur...share_tid=3841687&share_fid=3793&share_type=t this is necessary as rebrandtool does not operate correctly with android 9 but fh instructions and even FH help are unclear on
For the correct software, download your latest android 8 version from Firmware Finder, taking note of the changelog, the flashing requires older update version with THREE folders, the giveaway is the changelog says "this will rollback your device to emui8" (dont rollback using Hisuite, as it itself advises not to if device unlocked. When selecting download in FF you may be presented with a list of many folders, most with the same name, simply click one of each name (update, public and cltxxxxxhw) transfer these to your phone after checking "check availability by imei" and doublechecking you have selected the correct region (C782,c432 etc)
Before flashing, to save panic, READ "AFTER FLASH INSTRUCTIONS" in flashy folder of extracted flashtool downloaded from above.
Follow post and flash.bat instructions and its all automated.
Factory Reset as advised when complete
Wahey you're back on old faithful Oreo and still device unlocked
Now startup device, complete basic setup to access menu, ensure adb AND allow adb during charge mode are on (this helps stop adb turning back off at restart in some cases) ensure to forget any wifi connection you used during setup
Back to fastboot (device off, hold power down, connect cable to computer) once loaded run FHRebrandTool2 again, being careful if you use manual entry to assign new model and region
Once complete and you restart you will keep getting connect usb to continue rebrand dont panic, hold power until shutdown then hold volume down and connect usb to computer again, you will get Erecovery. Select Install latest package and use the FunkyHuawei instruction from here, EG change DNS on router or use a computer as a hotspot to install new region software and wait.........wait.........wait.........funkyhuaweis carrier pidgeons are a bit slow
Rebranded and update back to pie and enjoy the precious security updates
Proof is in the pudding [emoji16] currently waiting on hisuite downloading my first update to 161

Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
My 3 year old Moto G5 Plus running android 8 suddenly restarted two days ago and went into Start up failure. It no longer shows My product or IMEI number. It just shows potter 000000000000000 32GB P3B
Bootloader logs read " Start up failure. Your device didn't start up successfully. Use the Software Repair Assistant on computer to repair your device. Connect your device to your computer to get the Software Repair Assistant" written in red.
I have my IMEI and product numbers saved on my pc in a notepad file, but the LMSA software does not recognise my device to even try to rescue it. I want to retrieve files from my phone before attempting a factory reset.
On using the LMSA, it says "lmsa doesn't match appropriate firmware. you can try to select a firmware manually" but then it has no option to select anything manually. I have my phone previously registered on the software on my PC.
I have not rooted my phone, nor used anything other than stock android. My bootloader is locked. I cannot remember if I had Developer options selected or not, most probably not.
On trying to go to recovery mode it says the same message " Start up failure. Your device didn't start up successfully. Use the Software Repair Assistant on computer to repair your device. Connect your device to your computer to get the Software Repair Assistant"
When I connect the phone to the computer, it recognises it (I hear a notification sound) and under Devices it shows under Unrecognised as "Fastboot potter s"
I've never flashed my phone but would it be possible to recover the files in the internal storage of the phone by installing TWRP (in a non rooted, bootloader locked phone) without data loss?
How does it work?
Please help! I really need to recover my photos and notepad notes. Is there any way? Any software?
Please help! Please!
i have the same issue.
can someone help with that .
sharing screenshots of the same.

I'm not responsible for what you do to your device.
Have you seen this post? https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...d-as-qhsusb_bulk.3636457/page-9#post-76035108. Also read post # 223 about trying this on a Windows 10 machine.
Good luck.
