I had to turn s back on on my phone, but now i have three flags Tampered, Relocked, and Secruity warning, is there any way to get rid of the tampred and secruity warning and change the relocked back to locked?
Are you S-OFF if you aren't check if firewater it's compatible with your device and you can S OFF I don't suggest you do this if you don't have some experience with things like this..
Can I unlock bootloader and root and stuff using the AIO toolkit, then S-off from there?

Yes you can but no guarantee that you can get s-off
So is it correct to say that if I S-off before doing any modding with the phone, s-off is guranteed? And will HTC check for S-off during warranty check?

I have the Marvelc with Virgin Mobile US and I originally unlocked the bootloader using HTCDEV.com, however I later found the Goldcard S-OFF method.
Is there a way to relock it and regain my warranty? Will an unlocked bootloader and S-OFF cause any issues?

***Unlocked***

Yes you can relock it to ***LOCKED (OOW)**** which shows you that you have warranty. You should visit this thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1530864 and remember to thank theq86 for the nice tutorial and exploit
S-OFF, from what I know doesn't harm much unless you do something stupid with it. S-OFF basically unlocks the NAND to the point where we can read, write, and update it components.
An unlocked bootloader is a "partial" piece of an S-OFF from what I see. Most people like me would consider it "a piece of ****" because there's nothing much too it than we thought it would be. It's a good idea to keep the bootloader unlocked unless you going to take in the phone to HTC fith warranty.

That's exactly how I felt about it. That's why I decided to go for the S-OFF once I found out that there was one. The unlocked bootloader really just was good for a root, but the fact I had to lose my warranty to do it didn't really make me too happy (although the warranty is a piece of junk anyway).
I used theq86's tool and it worked perfectly. Is "OOW" an acronym for anything or is it just there?

To tell the truth, i dont know, you can check the glossary thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1508149 and maybe its there, remember to thank benjamingwynn for the nice glossary
EDIT: Also "OOW" means you have warranty, you should also try to downgrade your hboot if you willing to take it in to HTC for repair because they would like it if there was some extra crap in the phone

Alright. I was afraid it meant "Out of Warranty". Thank you! And a downgrade wouldn't be a bad idea. Do you know the stock HBOOT version?
What OOW really is is unknown. it could be Out Of Warranty, that's probable.
But after you downgraded to a lower rom the hboot is overwritten.
LOCKED OOW means basically, you never unlocked the phone
RELOCKED means it was once unlocked and relocked again.
my tool can recover the LOCKED OOW state. So if you have an downgraded bootloader htc can only find out that you unlocked the phone if they look for the identifier token that you sent to get the unlock token. if they don't do this the phone just looks normal.

Yes! Your tool worked absolutely perfectly for me. I restored it to the LOCKED (OOW) state, so it's good to know that it simply means it was never (or at least appears to have never been) unlocked.
And as for checking the token, that isn't really concrete proof you decided to follow through the rest of the way, and I doubt they would take the time anyway.

Of course they're too lazy to go and search out of millions of wfs handsets for your one and only unlock token
EDIT: Also if you rooted and forgot to remove root before locking your bootloader, its a good chance that if you take in your wfs to HTC, they could find superuser installed and suggest that you were a rooted victim with an unlocked bootloader.
Hi everyone,
I'm considering getting a Verizon HTC one, but I have a question about warranty coverage after I unlock the bootloader. HTC's website says that "not all claims resulting or caused by or from the unlocking of the bootloader may be covered under warranty." This would seem to imply that my warranty is still valid after I bootloader unlock the phone, just not for issues arising from the unlocked bootloader. Is this correct?
Thanks,
Zane
Well HTCDev bootloader unlock doesn't work for Verizon anymore...

won't it once the phone is s-off? Or do you not need htcdev at that point? I can't remember from my rezound.

depends on the exploit. With s-off (I know revone can do this) you can unlock through htcdev and also use revone to remove the tampered and relocked flags. So theoretically you can remove all the flags and s-on and not leave a shred of evidence.

RevOne unlocks your device you don't need to use HTC-Dev
I need to send my phone back to Verizon. I ran the RUU, relocked bootloader, went back to s-on, and now I have a Tampered flag on bootloader.
Is there a trick for getting rid of this? I am stock across the board. Dunno why it is still showing tampered.

Can't do it without s-off. So s-off again and remove the banner.

I'm in the same boat. I tried using Sunshine to get S-Off again, but I'm left with a message saying unlock failed and SuperSU is missing binaries.
Just got my M7 back form HTC for warranty repair. Phone was sent with to HTC with S-off but arrived with S-on and Hboot 1.57
I am a bit confused on what I need to do as things have changed since I first S-off using rumrunner and weaksauce.
Other then sunshine, Is there a way to root the phone in it's present state? Can I unlock the bootloader with HTdev?
Thanks
BB

With hBoot 1.57, Sunshine is your only option. Works easy.

So we can't even root the M7 on hBoot 1.57 unless we use sunshine first?
I assume we can't flash and older version as well.
Thanks

Yes to both: it can be rooted and rommed just after you finish Sunshine.
And you're correct about you can't go back.
Once you've got S-0ff, you can go backwards and forwards with radios and hboots.
What does sunshine do that HTCDev doesn't do? I'm really very confused.
Sunshine S-off's your phone, as well as unlocking the bootloader. HTCdev unlocks your bootloader but leaves security/signing on (S-on) Also, the method Sunshine uses to unlock your bootloader doesn't trip a factory reset.
You don't typically need to turn security/signing off unless you want to change your CID/MID (to convert your handset to a different region) or go back to an older version of firmware/software.

HTC dev only unlocks the boot loader, sunshine or firewater provides full s off which lifts restrictions to partitions that are normally locked down.
Check the below thread for explanations.

So in bootloader (or alternately, adb getvar all) it indicates s-off?
If so, and you didn't do firewater or sunshine, then its factory s-off. Its rare, but I've seen it here from time to time.
