WIFI doesn't work

My wifi stopped working today but it worked perfectly before. I also have usb brick but that doesn't matter, right?
Today I was at home, wifi was turned on , then i turned it off and gone to my friend, there i noticed i have only 25% battery left, so I plugged it to her computer via USB and left it for 3 hours. I have returned home , as usual turned wifi ON, it take about minute to turn it on, then it searched for Wi-Fi networks and then... "Application Settings is not responding." if i click wait it says "Unable to search for networks"
huh? is it just because charging in that computer?

No it isn't normal. Something has corrupted your phone big time. What rom have you got?

Search xda to fix the usb brick then flash a stock Rom.

[Q] Help! My data won't turn on anymore!

Just as the title says. I was on the internet for a bit. Went to get something to eat and came back an hour later and I noticed my data wasn't connecting but it says data was on. I tried apps to force it to turn on but to no avail. I flashed back to a stock rom after some issues, and it still won't turn on. I just finished re-rooting and flashing on Aristodemos, and my data still won't turn on! I can toggle it, and it will say it's on but it wont connect. And even in the pull down bar it says it's on but for some reason i can't toggle it. If i do press it, it will stay highlighted or unhighlighted until i toggle something else. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

Did you check that you still have an IMEI number? Look in system settings/about phone/status and scroll down.

This happened to me last night, in my task bar when I would reboot it would say restricted access has changed. Google it and not much comes up, did all kinds of stuff to no avail. Pulled sim and re inserted then it worked.... Was driving me up the effin wall. On kyanROM if that matters.

[Q] no auto connect for wi-fi?

Recently rooted s3. A few days later auto-connect for WiFi was turned off. I can't locate where or how to re-initiate. Any clues would be appreciated.

settings-wifi-hit the menu button or the left capactive button then Advanced where Auto connect is

still no autoconnect

Yeah, I've done all the settings in Wi-Fi. just can't get the 'connect automatically' button to come up. tried forgetting, then re-installing wifi, clicked the 'connect automatically', but when I saved the connection, it reverted to no auto-connect. Guess I'll try reinstalling liquid smooth. Thanks for the thoughts.........anybody else having this problem?

I have never had this problem but its nothing, once you reinstall your rom/wipe dalvik/cache everything will be fine

[Q] PC can't find SD card.

Hello.
My G3 is about 3-4 months old now. Since my purchase everything works like it should, except that it stopped connecting to computers properly. In the first few weeks it worked like a charm: Plug-in the cable, select the SD-connect thingy and the SD folder pops up on the computer screen. Same as most other phones working with SD cards. But since a few weeks it won't popup the SD folder. Also, it's unfindable in the 'Computer' directory; the place where all portable hard drives usually become visible.
Some facts:
There's nothing wrong with the SD card itself. Apart from the PC connectivity it works like a charm and is brand new.
I've tried to connect to 3 different computers with 3 different cables. All with the same result.
All 3 computers do recognize my phone. It's actually visible under Device Management in the Control Panel as a 'HID'. I've actually tried using the LG PC suite bull**** program which worked fine, but really slow and buggy (though irrelevant since it shouldn't be necessary in the first place).
Phone recognition sequence: 1. Computer starts to install driver thingies (or whatever it does, it's the same as always when you plug-in a USB for the first time). 2. Nothing.
As usual, the phone offers some options after plugin, when I scroll down the upper bar. When I press 'Charging..." nothing happens. When I press 'Charge Phone' this option menu pops up, which completely neutralizes my logics: This was never necessary to connect to my computer at all. I've also yet to understand these options and their functions fully. I believe it has something to do with the LG PC suite. I made screenshots, but this forum does not allow me to post those yet.
Nevertheless, I just want to go back to the original "plugin to pc --> select SD card --> browse and copy" way of transferring files... I've searched everywhere in the phone settings to solve my problem, but without succes, obviously.
Can anyone help me?

Jeez, I've tried that for like a thousand times and now all of a sudden it works... Thanks for letting me try it again. Really feeling like a retard now...

Anyone having problems connecting N5X to Macbook via USB

Bought the 'official' usb to usb3 lead from the Play store. When I tried connecting to my Macbook Pro the Android File Transfer can't find the Nexus. I thought it might be the USB Debugging needs enabling so I did that. Nope. Maybe the Android File Transfer needed updating so updated it. No joy. I'm a bit lost now, can anyone shed any light on my problem?

Mine would say something about the screen being locked even though it wasn't.. When you plug it in, pull down the notification drawer and tap the Choose More USB Options, or whatever it says. Make sure File Transfer is selected and try again.. took mine a few times of switching between FTP and Charging but it works with my Mac now

Ok, thanks, I'll try switching between MTP and charging a few times like that.

I have no trouble. Have a 2012 MBP using El Capitan.

More thanks. I had to switch it between charging and MTP 5 times to get it but it worked in the end.

Is there any way to making the MTP setting sticky for trusted devices? When you connect with usb debugging, it asks you to verify and save the device. If something like that was possible with this setting, you could have the security of not auto enabling when charging from random devices but the convenience when connected to your own remembered computer.
