[Q] no auto connect for wi-fi? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Recently rooted s3. A few days later auto-connect for WiFi was turned off. I can't locate where or how to re-initiate. Any clues would be appreciated.

Yeah, I've done all the settings in Wi-Fi. just can't get the 'connect automatically' button to come up. tried forgetting, then re-installing wifi, clicked the 'connect automatically', but when I saved the connection, it reverted to no auto-connect. Guess I'll try reinstalling liquid smooth. Thanks for the thoughts.........anybody else having this problem?

WIFI won't turn on.

Sorry if this has been posted before but i cannot find it any where.
OK so i just got a brand new s3 and when i try to turn on wifi, it just turns off automatically. Ive tried turning off wifi sleep mode options and did a factory data reset and still didnt work. I would install a custom ROM and see if that fixes it but its not my phone. Any help would be really appreciate it and Thank you.

This seems obvious but did you set up your wifi in settings with password and connect first?
I can't even do that. I just hit the button and it just turns itself back off.

WIFI not working

Has anybody faced the issue of WIFI not working? It seems like my antaena is broken.
1. I first was on MyRom then it turned on and off.
2. I went to PA3+ then it workrd and stopprd after three days.
3. I factory reseted, it worked for two hours.
4. I ODINed back to stock, same thing.
5. I UNROOTED, same issue.
WIFI won't conect at all, the widget stays half green (half the tone as other activated widgets) and in settings, the switch stays at off but it says turning on....
Any solution?

I'm assuming you've tried multiple WiFi connections? Like, a free wifi such as mcdonalds or starbucks, etc? Does it just say scanning for IP, or "connecting?"

Wi-fi wont turn on

So i just got the note 2 and everything was going fine. connected to wi-fi downloaded app then suddenly the wi-fi just cut out and it wouldnt turn on. everytime i tried to turn it on it would display "turning wi-fi on..." then it would switch back to off and nothing would change. I tried soft reset, factory reset and all the other possible options that the web gave. I have no idea what is wrong, everything else on the phone work except wi-fi if you have any other possible options im open to anything

In my opinion, it is because you installed an app or something that is interfering with the WiFi. It happened to me with the tethering.
Did you make a backup? If so, restore it
Wiping data and all that won't solve it
Have you tried restarting your modem?

Has anyone had any issues with 'wireless storage' after the KitKat update?

It's not working for me. Not only can I not connect, but I can't seem to 'turn it off.' It always remains highlighted like it is on when I use the pull down menu. Selecting it to try and turn it off does nothing. It stays highlighted like it is on... except I can't connect from a computer.
Anyone?
I can't get it to work either. I use an app that is free from the Play Store. Does everything wireless storage does plus more. Check out AirDroid you won't be disappointed.

[Q] Wifi hotspot tethering won't start

I'm running the stock 4.1.2 on a GT-N7100. Used to work fine, now trying to enable wifi hotspot tethering but I get nothing. Basically I tap the I/O button while it's green and it grays out for a bit then returns to O. It won't turn on. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
update: even regular wifi doesn't work, stuck on trying to activate. I don't recall changing anything between today and yesterday. Tried rebooting obviously still nothing.
It worked for a while then stopped again. Is there like a reset for wifi/tethering alone?
