Has anybody faced the issue of WIFI not working? It seems like my antaena is broken.
1. I first was on MyRom then it turned on and off.
2. I went to PA3+ then it workrd and stopprd after three days.
3. I factory reseted, it worked for two hours.
4. I ODINed back to stock, same thing.
5. I UNROOTED, same issue.
WIFI won't conect at all, the widget stays half green (half the tone as other activated widgets) and in settings, the switch stays at off but it says turning on....
Any solution?

I'm assuming you've tried multiple WiFi connections? Like, a free wifi such as mcdonalds or starbucks, etc? Does it just say scanning for IP, or "connecting?"

Actually it says "Turning on..." and no, I have always connected to my work or home WIFI.

I just got my Sprint GN a few weeks ago, and love using the bluetooth to connect to my car audio, but every 3rd or 4th time I get into my car I notice the bluetooth doesn't pair, so I take out my phone and look and the bluetooth icon is gray (instead of blue, indicating it has connected), I toggle the bluetooth off, and then when I try to turn the bluetooth radio back on it just sits there saying "bluetooth is turning on...". Bluetooth stops working until I reboot my phone
Does anyone have any incites into this or anyone else experiencing this?
I have the same issue. It's no solution but you can enable/disable Flightmode to get Bluetooth up and running again (but quicker then reboot).
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I'll give that a try (again) next time.. I am 100% certain I had tried that, though, unfortunately.
Yeah, I tried your solution again, and it just keeps saying "bluetooth is turning on..." even after I've turned *on* airplane mode.
Need some more information to be able to help you properly >_>
Stock ROM or Custom?
Rooted/Unrooted?
Or alternatively (Because it sounds like you're running a stock Galaxy Nexus...) ave you tried unpairing, and the repairing the devices?
Hi Zach,
Completely stock & unrooted (so far)
I actually did a complete factory reset a couple days ago, and the problem has yet to resurface, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it's gone, but the issue was intermittent so there is no way to be completely sure it won't show up again.
If it does, I'll try your suggestion, thanks
When i First got this phone It was working perfect, that was about 2 weeks ago. But now it wi-fi isn't working. It is stock and unrooted. The only time it will connect is if i turn off Wi-Fi on my phone then turn it back on. But then it will only stay connected for one minute before loosing it. And if it does stay connected it only shows one bar of signal strength even though I'm next to the router. Anyone else having this issue? I'm about to just factory reset my phone to see if it will fix this.

There have been quite a few reports of this issue, and the carriers should all have it as a documented bug so you should have no problems with an exchange. Weak wifi & wifi turning itself on have been a problem to many gs3 owners. I recommend calling your carrier & asking for a replacement.
So i just got the note 2 and everything was going fine. connected to wi-fi downloaded app then suddenly the wi-fi just cut out and it wouldnt turn on. everytime i tried to turn it on it would display "turning wi-fi on..." then it would switch back to off and nothing would change. I tried soft reset, factory reset and all the other possible options that the web gave. I have no idea what is wrong, everything else on the phone work except wi-fi if you have any other possible options im open to anything

In my opinion, it is because you installed an app or something that is interfering with the WiFi. It happened to me with the tethering.
Did you make a backup? If so, restore it
Wiping data and all that won't solve it
Have you tried restarting your modem?
i have a samsung galaxy note 2. i got a popup msg from att alerting me that i was exceeding my plans data limit. shortly thereafter, i noticed wifi wasnt on. i tried to toggle it on, but the button was greyed out and would not allow me to slide it to the on position. it seems to be permanently off. i have powered off the phone, taken out the battery and sim and sd card, powered it back on, still not able to select the on switch on wifi. i reset my router, still nothing. i downloaded wifi fixer, still nothing. i have been reading up on this and it seems no one knows what gives. my phone is not rooted. i have turned off wifi power saver. i have not performed a hard reset as most posts i have read said that didnt work. i'm at a loss.

I had something similar in that I would turn on wifi and it would not turn on. Tried everything you did, even the hard reset w/ no love.In my case once I turned off Bluetooth and tried to turn it back on it began exhibiting the same behavior. I was able to "fix it" by booting up in safe mode, turning on the wifi (and BT in my case), and then rebooting. It has been working since then without issues.
Hi,
I've had my Galaxy Nexus for over 2 years now, and never had any major problems with it. However, over the past month I've been having a problem where my network connection stops working. I can't call, text or go online. I also can't receive calls or texts. When this happens, the connectivity icon still has 4 bars (or 3 or whatever).
In the past if I had network problems, I would put it in airplane mode and then turn it off, and this would reset the connection and fix it. Now, when I try to put it in airplane mode, nothing happens. The connectivity icon disappears, but the airplane icon does not appear. Then there's nothing I can do except reboot the phone. I can't even turn airplane mode off because the option is greyed out.
At first I thought I could fix the problem by resetting the phone to factory settings. That didn't work. So 2 weeks ago I installed Cyanogenmod 11, and the problem persists.
Yesterday I installed an app called "Restart Connection", but it hasn't happened since yesterday so I'm not sure if this will work or not. The problem is not regular. It can happen twice in a day, or it can not happen for 3-4 days in a row.
I'm not sure where to go from here. I've tried Googling but can't really find anything quite like this. It wouldn't be so bad if I knew when it happened, but if I don't happen to be using my phone, it can happen and then no one can call or text me until I realize that the problem is happening, so I can be without a connection for hours at a time before noticing.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this and if there is a fix?
Thanks!
