[Q] Can't Access Recovery Mode - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

This blows. So my T-mobile Galaxy Note 3 is successfully rooted. Apparently TWRP was successfully installed via Odin, but my device refuses to enter Recovery Mode so no custom roms for me... When I attempt to boot to recovery it just starts on the screen which says:
"Recovery Booting....
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit: Recovery"
And then it has the Sammy logo below. It stays on this screen a few seconds, turns black, goes back to that screen, and then depending on when I let go of the 3 finger salute... just boots up regularly after that.
In my research I saw a suggestion to download an app called QuickBoot and select the boot to recovery. When I did this it was just stuck in an infinite loop of the screen I described above until I pull the battery.
This is so damn frustrating. Can anyone point me in the right direction? :crying:

Reinstall TWRP and make sure you have the correct version for your Android version. If that fails, reinstall stock recovery.

Thanks for the reply. I did try re-installing several times to no avail. The version I'm using is "openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-hltetmo.img.tar" which I downloaded from: http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/hltetmo . Now that you say that about the version I see the date is from January of the most recent one. Is it possible that TWRP cannot be installed on Kitkat? If so, I can't be the only one running into this problem.

Thanks, I'm sure that must be it. Looks like there is no 2.7 for T-Mobile Note 3 yet or am I just blind? Here's the site I'm looking at: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/198

[Q] Rooted Note falling into bootloop after CWM Install

Alright. This was very confusing to identify why this was happening, but I managed to pin point the steps which caused it to happen.
I am running 4.4 Kit Kat firmware, I also just recently rooted the phone through CF Autoroot. The next move I wanted to make was to install the CynogenMod ROM, but I did not have a custom recovery installed yet. After downloading the ROM manager app, I installed/flashed CWM and the app read that I had it as my set recovery, so I could check that off the list.
However when I try to boot the phone into recovery mode CWM does not appear at all, but instead the android logo appears with three lines of words that read:
Recovery Booting
Recovery is not Seandroid enforcing
Set warranty bit: recovery
The screen remains like this for a couple of seconds, then shuts off, then repeats. The only way I have been able to fix it is by flashing the stock firmware again through Odin, then rooting the phone the same way I did previously. It seems that setting my recovery to CWM in ROM manager is the cause of this problem, but why? Should I install CWM through other means? Is it ROM manager?
Any advice would be great!
Thanks!

[Q] TWRP on Note 10.1 2014 WiFi - Touchscreen not working

I installed TWRP on my Note 10.1 2014 through the play store app. Once I installed the recovery image, I tried rebooting into recovery and it would only boot to the OS.
I went into the app and rebooted to recovery from there and it did go into TWRP, however, there is no response on the touchscreen or any other button but power, which causes it to reboot back into TWRP.
I haven't been able to find a way to get back to the OS or do anything else.
Can anybody help me out? I'm very new to this, I had it rooted and tripped the warranty bit a while back but that's all I've done. I just want to upgrade to KK, which I can't do since the warranty bit has been tripped. (I'll go to Lollipop if I can, but I have a few apps I want that need at least KitKat.)
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!!

Yes, it was 2.8.7.0. After doing some more searching, I found out how to flash TWRP with Odin and got 2.8.6.0 working. I now have it fixed running Lollipop.

Thank you sir. Exactly the same problem here: No touchscreen on SM-P600, stuck on recovery boot loop, and had to flash TWRP through ODIN to get out. Now in 2.8.6.0 and everything is working now.
Hi.
Anybody could tell me how solve this problem?. Me too installed TWRP 2.8.7.0 in my Samsun SM-P600 but touchscreen does not work. Shutdown the tablet doesn't work, only return to TWRP.
Ashade mentioned: "had to flash TWRP through ODIN", but, if there is a guide let me know, because I don't wanna break my tablet more.
This of root and flash is new for me.

Go here and read thread #6 and #7. After you flashed twrp 2.8.7.0, you need to use your spen to navigate and it's very sensitive so be careful not to click on the wrong option. Good luck.

CWM RECOVERY doesn't work for me on Note 3 with Lollipop

I've used Odin 3.07 to flash n900t-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.4(1025) but it didn't pass. I'm tired now and I want to go to bed but it bugs me I don't have root.
On 4.2 I think it was easy but on 5.0 it won't work for me, now. I've scoured pages and pages, so for now I am kindly asking for some directions.
Try flashing the latest TWRP and then flash supersu from TWRP to get root.

Thanks, did it, it flashed it but now it gives me "Recovery is not Seandroid Enforcing". I pulled the battery right after the pass message, no change.
Read in thread about "Reactivation Lock" but I don't have that option in the stock Lollipop 5.0.
Any ideas?
So your phone is not booting? Boot into download mode and tell us what it says.
Oh no, the phone works fine. I can boot into stock Lollipop but it won't boot into recovery (Vol Up). It boots into Odin Vol Down.
All I want is to install su. First I tried to flash CWM recovery with Odin, didn't pass. Then I tried TWRP (their website is down), it passed but got "Recovery is not Seandroid Enforcing" error. So now I'm lost. I think all have to flash a modified ROM but I'm confused about their specs (what is Deoxified)
Wait wait, Oding IS the recovery, no? I'm totally confused now.
Try this: open Odin and uncheck everything except f.reset time, connect the phone, flash TWRP, when you see the word "reset" in the status window, remove USB cable, remove battery, replace battery, use button combination to boot into recovery.
Thanks for the help. I've tried that sequence before. It didn't work. I'll try it again.
But I've managed to install su using Chainfire's Auto Root for Kitkat (but I have Lollipop). Now I have an older recovery. Will that cause any troubles?
What I've learned from my "ordeal" is make sure you have the right versions. In my case particularly the phone model, N900T, and then the software versions, N900TUVUFOB6, where B6 is the Lollipop (right?).
No no no!
I've rebooted into old recovery now my user interface in Lollipop doesn't work. I guess the recovery deleted some cache (noticed some messages at the bottom)
I guess I'll burn the Lollipop + CF Autoroot for the N-th time and never boot into recovery.

I was just randomly checking my app manager for all my apps and found getroot version 1.0 was installed.
Can you confirm me that u have the same thing.

[Guidance] SGH-T989 UPDATING ISSUE!

Good evening everyone!
I've recently wanted to update my Hercules from 4.1 (I know it's reeealy outdated) to version 6.0 Marshmallow.
So I did a few steps and now I cant' seem to go any further, and I need your help.
So far, I've done the following:
-Installed TWRP 2.8.7.0
-Used Odin to flash the TWRP mentioned above
Now, I know there are a few problems regarding this version of the TWRP on the Hercules, so I tried fixing it by using Odin again and flashing the updated 2.8.7.1 and even the 3.0 version that I found on some threads, but with no sucess.
I haven't even had the chance to install Marshmallow on my phone in the first chance, because I couldn't find any .ZIP folders on the TWRP instalation menu.
I really appreciate your help guys, I'm a noob at this and I'm just starting to figure what is what, I just need my phone updated. It's running so far atleast, so it's not hard bricked I guess.

I'm pretty sure I did everything I was intended to do. I installed Samsung Kies so I could install the drivers on my mobile, and then TWRP through Odin properly with the blue light showing up. After flashing it, it turned green and said PASS or PASSED. So I think I did everything right on that end, I can even access TWRP with no real problems.
I even tried to do a ROOT on my system, but again, I couldn't use ZIP or any other files on the TWRP installation option because they simply do not appear
bump
Watching this thread as I have the same problem.
I can boot to TWRP 2.8.7, but if I try to install, there's no file to install from.
I can go back to TWRP 2.6.0, and then mount the card and see the ROM, but every ROM I try fails. Something about non-virtual partitions if I try 4.4 or better, and error executing updater binary if i try 4.1

I don't know of any problems with any of the recoveries. However there are different recoveries for different roms which need to be used in a specific order and in a specific way, the first time that you virtually repartition your phone.
Have you gone through the process of applying the "virtual partition" and installing the modified "virtual partition" recovery? This is required for most of the MM roms on this phone (Hercules). The process is very well documented here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2-tmobile/help/guidance-sgh-t989-updating-issue-t3414641 in the #2nd post.

I shut it down in TWRP then hold volume down and power to go into download mode.
My phone has gone backwards now though - it doesn't matter what I load in Odin now, it won't boot up. The SAMSUNG screen is on, with a progress bar, but it never gets to the end. It stops right near the end and it sits there until I reboot it again.

OP3 TWRP not Booting

Hello there,
This is my first XDA thread! This is an issue I ran into.
I just installed CM 14.1 on my OP3. I downloaded the latest TWRP from the official website before flashing it.
Here is the problem. After setting up my ROM, like installing all the required apps, I'm not able to boot into recovery. I tried flashing TWRP again, I downloaded the oneplus recovery from your website and I flashed that one too.
I erased recovery partition and installed both of them again (erasing each time). What happens is, after booting into the bootloader, I select recovery to go to the recovery and it stays blank, unless I reset it by holding the buttons.
Please let me know what I can do.
Same happened to me also. But somehow I fixed it by installing TWRP again by using OnrPlus 3 toolkit. Here is the toolkit forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/tool-tool-one-driversunlocktwrpfactory-t3398993. Can't post links. Don't forget to put http:// front of it

Are you sure what happened to is exactly what happened to you? Because I tried the ToolKit and it is not working. I tried both the versions of the TWRP and Stock recovery.
If you know anything else about this issue that would help me. I'd love to hear it.

Also. Does encryption affect this in anyway, because I did it. I don't want to factory reset my phone because this is my primary phone and I don't have another phone. And I don't want to risk it, at least for a few days.
