For sideload you have to have working adb in recovery. Which means you can use the link i provided to copy files to the phone.

Put the Rom zip together with adb files and fastboot files where you open the command window for fastboot flash different things...then go into recovery go to advance or so or install zip and search there for via sideload...depends also on the recovery you are using...then in the command window type in adb sideload "romname.zip" ...it will take a while to transfer so wait a bit ...

And for the next time don't open such threads in general!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Q&A is for questions but not general!!!!! Also if you installed the custom recovery just mount usb storage let the drivers install on pc and if successful transfer the files...sideload doesn't work always as sometimes the drivers won't be installed :/

fastboot flash recovery 'recovery'.img
Name of recovery to be flashed is in the inverted commas and is placed in the same folder as fastboot.exe

Yes, there's a particular version of TWRP for bases greater than 3.14... I don;t remember the version no... However, in that version, you can mount USB drive in recovery...
I am on 3.17 base and TWRP touch didn't work for me either! So tried CWM(Non Touch) and never looked back since!

Bro check wether you have used supported font pack.
There might be error because of wrong font pack.
Now have you taken your previous ROMs backup before installing new ROM?
If yes then revert back by using that backup.
And if not then reflash your current ROM.

Buddy i think the application you have installed has made some changes to kernel which mighe be irriversible.
So you can now flash a custom recovery and flash a new custom ROM.
Use this http://androidlegend.com/how-to-install-custom-clockworkmod-recovery-on-htc-one-v/ guide to flash a custom recovery.
And then try this guide to install a new ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34236649#post34236649
you can find custom ROM list which are supported on htc one v here.
http://alchemistar.blogspot.in/2012/10/htc-one-v-rom-list.html
Just go through each and every guide step by step. And read it properly and then try it.
And you will now have a problem to connect your phone to pc to copy ROM.zip for that u can remove your sdcard and use a card reader to connect it to your desktop.
And just be calm. You can make your HOV alive. :good:

Download latest recovery from This Link and try to flash it on your htc one v.
Also are you having htc sync manager?? If yes then uninstall HTC sync manager only sync manager do not uninstall htc driver installer.
And if you are not having that htc driver installer then download it and install it to your system.
Another thing please post steps in detail that you are following to install custom recovery. Only steps of custom recovery.
Right now you should concentrate on flashing a custom recovery to your device.
Lets see what happens. I will try to serach for some solution till then.

I've been planning to install a CM7 my old HtC Wildfire A3333 to give it a new life.I have successfully unlocked the bootloader through HTCDEV and gained root by using WinDroid..Also have SuperSU installed already and used ROM
Manager to flash CWM recovery/TWRP..But when I reboot to access Recovery it goes back to stock Android recovery and it says INSTALLATION ABORTED when installing Zip from SD card..I know I cannot use REVOLUTIONARY because my HROOT is 1.02.000 and I find it hard to downgrade to HBOOT 1.01.000..Did I mess up on something???
Thanks XDA..

you need to flash clockworkmod Via fastboot commands buddy. Download clockworkmod as a recovery.img and then flash it using the command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, its similar to when you flashed the unlock_token.bin to unlock your hboot so the recovery.img needs to be in the fastboot folder.
Thanks HMM..Still cannot flash I'm sorry for being stupid this is my first time rooting..do i need to s-off first? ..please check my screenshots

Flashing a custom recovery from a stock recovery wont work. It checks that the stuff its about to flash is from htc and a custom recovery is not made by htc. You must use fastboot. What errors if any is the fastboot command giving you?
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
In the fastboot commands is (Waiting for Device)....I've waited for 15 mins but I think the PC is not recognizing the phone..It also says ONE OF THE Usb is not working something like that.....
I've read in one of XDA treads that Its possible to DISABLE Signature VERIFICATION
Will that work??one more thing, what is the easiest and PROVEN way to S-off HTC WILDFIRE with HBoot 1.02.000...much like revolutionary..Many Thanks..
Use windows 7
Windows 8 didn't work with fastboot only adb with my HTC WILDFIRE A3333, Windows 7 works install driver from windows
IF you are only looking forward for CWM recovery you don't need fastboot

Any advices?

I would advise using older or newer releases of twrp until you find one that does work.
EDIT: Didn't even notice you have a One M8S, that's not the same phone as the M8. Make sure you're using the One M8S version of twrp.

You're lucky wrong recovery don't totally brick your device.
How can you expect recovery made for M8 to work on non M8 device ?
You're posting your problem in M8 section which is totally wrong place for your device variant.
Everything that you need is here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/one-m8s-general/make-custom-recovery-htc-one-m8s-t3114245
Never try anything made for M8 (recovery or ROM) on your device ... your device is not M8. M8 is 32 bit, yours is 64 bit
hint : your second screenshot says you don't have htc_fastboot.exe in your folder as in screenshot 1, you have only generic fastboot.exe in that folder

fastboot boot recovery nameofrecovery.img
the right command
