[Q] Dual Sim model? - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows any detail about the dual sim model to come.
Primarily I guess all I need to know is:
1 - What regions will it be released in?
2 - When will they be looking at releasing it?
Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
Look forward to hearing what is going on here.
Also, do you think there will be a separate development area for this product or will it be combine in this development section?
Regards

Well there's not much talk on the web about it but a few hints - people say the SIM tray outer is double the size so they can fit in 2 nano SIMs.
I have seen a couple of articles that say that it will only have Snapdragon 800 like the M7 - but in the past the M7 dual sim and Butterfly S dual SIM processors have been the same as the single SIM.
Undoubtedly it will launch in China first as nearly all dual SIMs do - it took until Jan for them to launch the M7 dual SIM officially in western Europe - so you'd have to go for an import outside Asia. It will have Chinese apps etc in the ROM too.
I very much doubt XDA will give it a section the M7 dual SIM didn't - although there are a few great threads on it.

Available in stores

Hey guys I got the htc m8 dual sim as well on 3rd july, the dealer showroom said to me its M.E version however when i used those info apps like CPU-Z the region of the phone was europe so i guess it will work there or is the same dual sim model as there, The build quality has also improved over the m8 (Previous m8 owner) and the execution of the dual sim software and hardware is flawless.

I don't think that's correct. I got the M8 dual Sim from Saudi Arabia. It definitely does not support 800. I think the only bands it support are 1800/2600.
The version in middle east is the same as the version in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as the CE label has it cleared to be released in all those region plus quite a few more.

HELP on SIMFREE (HTC One X S720e UK)

Hello guys!
I just bought a simfree htc one x in amazon-japan.
i tried to insert my simcard but it always says no service.
i think it's because it is simfree and it's only applicable in UK.
(I don't have any idea about simfree. I just wanted to have the phone so badly.)
is there a way i can use this phone or should i sell it?
I hope you can help me.
Thank you very much.

Thank you sir for your reply.
No, what i bought is the UK version and not the japanese htc one x.
I tried inserting a softbank sim card and it works fine now, but softbank is a W-CDMA (UMTS 3G) network.
some people say that "simfree" phones does not support GSM bands,
but i live in a country that all network providers use GSM networks. (I'm in japan only for a business trip)
can i use this phone in my country? because i'm really going to sell this phone if not.
It is defibitely a gsm phone. it should support any gsm sim cards , rest assured

German real HTC M8 dualsim

Hi
I'm about to buy it, at least as soon as it's available.
Is there already a topic about it?
Compare to the HTC One E8, this one has everything like the M8.
Thanks

Just watch the LTE bands that the M8 dual SIM supports - make sure it does the bands you need. Some specificatiosn say it does 800MHz LTE, but a lot of reports say it only does 1800 MHZ & 2600MHz LTE FDD

[Q] LG G3 Dual Sim Variants

Hello,
I been looking for the perfect LG G3 Dual Sim model in terms of Specs..
and since i found more than one model.. D856 , D857, D858 and D859
can anyone help me figure out what is are the differences among them ?
thank u
Hi
I've just ordered the D856 which for me (being based in the UK) is the better option considering that includes the LTE 800 band. I know the D858 does not include this band but I'm not entirely sure about the other two variants.

Hi c1181427,
I'm interested in getting a dual sim LG G3, also based in the UK. I'm currently on Vodafone so the D856 would be the ideal version. Can I ask where you ordered your D856 from?
Thanks in advance,

D858HK would work fine on Vodafone as well as it has band 2600 which is LTE+ used by Vodafone UK
Hi.I got mine from a website called from.ae they are based in UAE and the phone was delivered in five days.
Tbh I still haven't worked out the difference between the d856 and d858
One thing I noticed is that on mine there's barely any LG app installed (I think 2) which is surprising coming from a Samsung s4...Not sure if this is standard on LG phones or it's just this version

Hi c1181427,
Thanks for the info, I'll look into it now. Did you have to pay any customs on the phone?
Samsul,
Thanks but I live in Aberdeen, and work just outside the city. The 800mhz frequency already has poor coverage and so I don't even want to think about how little I will see 4G speeds if I am restricted to only the 2600mhz frequency. I'm not actually sure the 2600mhz frequency is in operation here anyway.

hi guys, my D856 has no LG apps pre-installed and it came with Google Play already installed. is this the case with the other dual sim variants too?
how much free RAM do you get on your G3's?

Hi guys, I bought a 858HK and it does not have the 800Mhz for 4G in UK
I also got slapped on import duty by £80
so the phone cost me £460
I am willing to sell if anyone wants it
Its a beautiful phone, very fast, the DUAL SIM is essential for work and personal and it comes with some LG apps that are much better than all my previous HTC phones
I've also had to pay £80 import duty but luckily the phone cost me a bit less
I was also hoping to get LTE 800 with my D856 (as advertized in the official LG spec sheet) but nothing...luckily LTE still works with my 3 UK SIM

Not sure if that's the case...
Got one 858HK yesterday, and so far it doesn't want to do 4G on my Vodafone UK SIM even though it does 2600MHz.
Spoken to Vodafone support and the lady who did not have much clue about the subject, could not confirm if vodafone uses both 800 and 2600, she was saying that in the UK it is only 800Mhz for LTE which is a bit odd and doesn't tie up with information provided here:
Code:
http://www.4g.co.uk/4g-frequencies-uk-need-know/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vodafone_UK
On the wikipedia it says "LTE Advance" any body has an idea what that is?
The other thing is that the phone could be faulty as well. Need to try the EE SIM somewhere as that should be on 1800 and 2600Mhz.......
Edit: Apparently Voda UK does 2.6GHz in big agglomerations such as London, Birmingham, Manchester.... (this is not officially confirmed)

M5 Availability in your country

hey guys, i find that there is potential in this device, but most developer wun bother as it being a mid-ranger. But ultimately availability plays a big role. So i would like to find out is it available in your country.
It is available here in Malaysia
It is also available in the Philippines
The dual-SIM version will be available soon in Brazil...
It is also available in Thailand
Available in Russia
Will be sold soon in Turkey:good:
Hope availability expands and somewhere there will be a dev picks up this device.
It's available in Singapore
m5 dual sim version avaliable in Hong Kong weeks ago

Both versions, Lithuania.
Hi all,
I need to know the availability of the Xperia M5 Dual SiM in France (Model E5633), because in France 4G LTE use currently 800 Mhz / 1800 Mhz / 2600 Mhz bands. As i can seee, only the model E5633 hold 800 Mhz 4G band.
Others model use 850 Mhz band instead 800. It depend of the country area.
Thanks for your reply.
Available here in Finland. And while I'm somehow interested about this phone, I'd like to know if we already know if those serious problems which almost
all M5-users seem to have are only software-based(so they can be cured with updates) or from hardware, and that would mean that M5 is doomed.

Actually theres a hardware problem. The battery causes the phone to die. Check this
Just got my M5 dual sim variant last week in South Africa.
The single sim version became available in Greece. Don't know if the auto shut down problem is fixed. I assume it is. Waiting for the dual sim version...

I have a dual sim version bought in France. For the moment, I also never experienced the auto shut down problem.

International version doesn't work with AT&T?

Hello guys, to my knowledge, HTC 10 has only one version if you buy carrier unlocked. However, a friend wants to buy one from amazon, here is the listing:
https://www.amazon.com/HTC-32GB-5-2...8&qid=1479425821&sr=8-1&keywords=htc+10+phone
how come seller claims "ONLY 3G works with GSM carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile etc.). 4G LTE does not work in USA." ?
VoLTE won't work..

He won't use the phone in USA, He will use it in South America, but all phones that work 4G LTE in AT&T/T-Mobile the regular 1800 band or whatever 4G, they work there.
He doesn't need VoLTE, just regular LTE
1800 frequency of 4G LTE is definitely supported.

I am extremely UPSET and disappointed that despite this listing says
"Unlocked," the phone REALLY ISN'T.
It WILL NOT WORK WITH U.S. CARRIERS.
I have T-MOBILE and I soon I popped my SIM card it just wouldn't read it.
At some point I got 2 bars when I pressed "Roaming," but overall I didn't get any LTE from this phone.
I am returning this and I am extremely disappointed.

EDIT: NVM not going to bother with Amazon since HTC currently has the HTC 10 for $500. I think I'll buy one for myself too... I like the looks of it more than my S7 Edge.
