Hi all,
I need to know the availability of the Xperia M5 Dual SiM in France (Model E5633), because in France 4G LTE use currently 800 Mhz / 1800 Mhz / 2600 Mhz bands. As i can seee, only the model E5633 hold 800 Mhz 4G band.
Others model use 850 Mhz band instead 800. It depend of the country area.
Thanks for your reply.
Available here in Finland. And while I'm somehow interested about this phone, I'd like to know if we already know if those serious problems which almost
all M5-users seem to have are only software-based(so they can be cured with updates) or from hardware, and that would mean that M5 is doomed.

Actually theres a hardware problem. The battery causes the phone to die. Check this
Just got my M5 dual sim variant last week in South Africa.
The single sim version became available in Greece. Don't know if the auto shut down problem is fixed. I assume it is. Waiting for the dual sim version...

I got my dual sim variant in January and havent experienced the auto shutdown problem. There has been one big update since I got it, so I reckon its been fixed.
I have a dual sim version bought in France. For the moment, I also never experienced the auto shut down problem.

i have a Qtek 1010. i bring it from saudi arabia ot USA. but it is not working. they told me it is dual band and should be changed to triband.
i do not know how to change it or how to fix it.
is there any one can help me.
Check the rear sticker on the device, since you brought it from SA it's most propabely is PW10A which means it's 900/1800 MHz while USA work with 900/1900 MHz bands (PW10B).
So, unless you can find a network with 900 MHz, you will not be able to use this device there.
I 'm not aware of any process to transform XDA I to be tri-band. If you must, then get a XDA II device
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/BandSwitchTool
maybe this one will help
it can of cause not be made triband because that would require
a change of all the gsm hardware in the phone

Hello,
I been looking for the perfect LG G3 Dual Sim model in terms of Specs..
and since i found more than one model.. D856 , D857, D858 and D859
can anyone help me figure out what is are the differences among them ?
thank u
Hi
I've just ordered the D856 which for me (being based in the UK) is the better option considering that includes the LTE 800 band. I know the D858 does not include this band but I'm not entirely sure about the other two variants.

Hi c1181427,
I'm interested in getting a dual sim LG G3, also based in the UK. I'm currently on Vodafone so the D856 would be the ideal version. Can I ask where you ordered your D856 from?
Thanks in advance,

D858HK would work fine on Vodafone as well as it has band 2600 which is LTE+ used by Vodafone UK
Hi.I got mine from a website called from.ae they are based in UAE and the phone was delivered in five days.
Tbh I still haven't worked out the difference between the d856 and d858
One thing I noticed is that on mine there's barely any LG app installed (I think 2) which is surprising coming from a Samsung s4...Not sure if this is standard on LG phones or it's just this version

Hi c1181427,
Thanks for the info, I'll look into it now. Did you have to pay any customs on the phone?
Samsul,
Thanks but I live in Aberdeen, and work just outside the city. The 800mhz frequency already has poor coverage and so I don't even want to think about how little I will see 4G speeds if I am restricted to only the 2600mhz frequency. I'm not actually sure the 2600mhz frequency is in operation here anyway.

hi guys, my D856 has no LG apps pre-installed and it came with Google Play already installed. is this the case with the other dual sim variants too?
how much free RAM do you get on your G3's?

Hi guys, I bought a 858HK and it does not have the 800Mhz for 4G in UK
I also got slapped on import duty by £80
so the phone cost me £460
I am willing to sell if anyone wants it
Its a beautiful phone, very fast, the DUAL SIM is essential for work and personal and it comes with some LG apps that are much better than all my previous HTC phones
I've also had to pay £80 import duty but luckily the phone cost me a bit less
I was also hoping to get LTE 800 with my D856 (as advertized in the official LG spec sheet) but nothing...luckily LTE still works with my 3 UK SIM

Not sure if that's the case...
Got one 858HK yesterday, and so far it doesn't want to do 4G on my Vodafone UK SIM even though it does 2600MHz.
Spoken to Vodafone support and the lady who did not have much clue about the subject, could not confirm if vodafone uses both 800 and 2600, she was saying that in the UK it is only 800Mhz for LTE which is a bit odd and doesn't tie up with information provided here:
Code:
http://www.4g.co.uk/4g-frequencies-uk-need-know/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vodafone_UK
On the wikipedia it says "LTE Advance" any body has an idea what that is?
The other thing is that the phone could be faulty as well. Need to try the EE SIM somewhere as that should be on 1800 and 2600Mhz.......
Edit: Apparently Voda UK does 2.6GHz in big agglomerations such as London, Birmingham, Manchester.... (this is not officially confirmed)
Hello,
I bought an european version of the Oneplus 3 in june, it works perfectly fine in France. But in next January, i go to Canada for work and live, and my european version seems doesn' work on network frequency used in Quebec(CAD), so my question is : is it possible to turn my OnePlus 3 in a North America Model (with mod) ? or i need to sell mine et re-buy a brand new phone ?
Thanks in advance
or just add some Band for LTE ?
I have done some research on this topic (used Google ). There are snapdragon based phones for which people could load a different software for the modem which used the bands they needed.
Hi, i'm about to buy online an S20FE 5g (preferably an 8GB), and i was wondering about the differences between different versions; i don't know what should i buy to use in Europe.
I could not find a comprehensive list, so i thought i could just post what i know; the more info you can share, the most complete the list will be.
SM-G781B (International)
SM-G781U (USA)
operator locked, should not buy for Europe
SM-G781U1 (USA Unlocked)
not a real dual sim (as stated here)
SM-G781W (Canada)
SM-G7810 (China, Hong Kong)
for this version there's a 8/128 model (is it good to use in Europe? they seems to come at a cheap price)
SM-G781N (Korea)
SM-G781V (Verizon)
Also, the /DS stands for "dual-sim hybrid tray" i suppose, based on this evidence
Based on this, frequencies support should be the same for models SM-G781B (International), SM-G781N (Korea), SM-G781U (USA), SM-G781V (Verizon):
GSM frequencies
850 900 1800 1900
Standard UMTS
850 900 1900 2100
Standard LTE
FDD LTE: 2600, 2100, 1900, 1800, 1700, 900, 850, 800, 700
TDD LTE: 2600, 2500, 2300, 1900
Standard 5G
FDD 5G: 1900, 1700, 850, 600
TDD 5G: 2500
The one listed on Bestbuy is SM-G781UZBMXAA. Can I use that outside of US, in Asia perhaps?
I got SM-G7810 , I am from Poland and it works just fine. Bought it from my local phone store with their warranty. Got it much cheaper. Works ok, no problems.
Just waiting for android 11, looks like HK is less important to Korean company then Europe

Got the same phone delivered since a day in the Netherlands. Works fine, every language possible to choose, works fine on the networks etc.
I'm just trying to find a way to flash a ROM with another CSC to try to enable THL ( Thailand CSC) as to make phone-recording possible. Seems not easy to get rid of the Hong Kong CSC.
Even with some 'CSC change tricks' I don't get any further than to choose for TGY as the only one in the list.

Make sure it's compatible with your carrier. Contact your carrier for assistance.

Hi guys i've searched all over the net for a solution and i am starting to think that there is none.
I've bought a Samsung Fold3 5g SM-F926U1 and i think it is an US model. I live in Romania and i can't get 5g signal, only LTE. Tried everything that is normal, reset settings, update internet profile, switched on and off, selected 5G auto and/or GLOBAL.
Nothing works. Do you have any solution? Flash a different rom on it or something?
The phone is single sim, in Romania they sell the dual sim version
Thank you
The F926U supports these 5G bands:
SA/NSA/Sub6/mmWave (2, 5, 25, 41, 66, 71, 260, 261)
What 5G bands does your provider use?

Thanks for the tip. I will probably do the same if there is no other way.
it is possible the software installed on it is not playing nice with the carrier in your region.
for example. In the US, each carrier decides which version of SW update to release to their customer, but if a user brings their own device that was with another carrier hence has a different software version than what is being used for the new carrier... the phone tends to have issues or not be able to update and such.
Other possibility is that the region you are in doesn't use the band that the phone supports (but this might be less likely in my opinion, but I'm no professional nor do I have experience with overseas inter-usability so I may be wrong).
