i have htc one x
firstly i didn`t know its problem
when i connect it with my laptop my laptop shows"usb device not recognized"
i thought this is because unofficial Rom
so i put a rom software via wifi "moborobo" on the phone
and tried to flash it via booltloader but without wiping
now it is still rebooting and can`t access to recovery or anything " i think it called boot loop "
and cant solve it by fastboot cause it is not recognized on laptop
so u think what is the problem
trying to replace usb port or doing what ?
is usb port is connected to the board so i have to replace the whole board ?!
what steps should i do ?!!
or it is already damaged and no hope !!!

after days the battery is out

Ah .. Are you sure it won't charge? Try plugging it into your PC and a normal charger.

no it is not charging
when i connect it to lap top or charger
it still shows intermittent red light
it its not charging and and still shows the red light intermittent red light
usb port is damaged or what ?!!
and if it is damaged this port is connected to the board ?! or i can replace another one without changing the board ?!
When you hooked it up to the pc and the red light starts blinking try to keep pressing combo buttons. Power and volume down button, keep them pressed and try if needed many times. Check to see if you can get it to the bootloader. Once it hits the bootloader you execute this script with admin rights from the fastboot folder on the pc

i got in to the bootloader
but the laptop shows"usb device not recognized"
and doesn`t accept any commands
and doesn`t acces to recovery or factory reset
just question usb socket is a aprt of the board or sparated part i can replace it without canging the whole board ?!!!

Afaik it's part of the mobo. But are you using the original HTC cable, isn't it the cable at fault ? Using a straight powered usb 2.0 port on the pc ?

i tried it with many cables and laptops and pc they are all the same

You probably don`t have the correct update package for your device... If you really want to update to this rom then you need the HardSPL. Install the HardSPL 1.93 Unsigned Developer edition.
do you have Hard-SPL?
I Recently updated through ROMUpdateUtility know i see touch diamond screen with RUU_Signed_1_93OliNex_HSPL_UnsignedEdition ...Please help
just flash another ROM while in bootloader and connected to usb. I would suggest to use a simply rom.

But How , I am not able to copy the file to Internal memory as when I connect to laptop the the internal memory is not visible:
you don't need to put the nbh file in internal storage. Turn your device off. Press and hold the volume down button. While doing so press the power button. Keep holding the volume down button pressed until you see the multi colored screen which is called the bootloader. At the bottom it should say Serial. Using the USB cable with which you sync to your PC, plug the cable in to your PC and then plug the other end into your device.
The multi colored screen should soon say USB at the bottom of the screen. You are now ready to flash a new ROM. Just run the RUU as you would normally.
I did that; know I got the tri colour scree ;which says USB in white area know how to run RUU , my htc is connected to my laptop
create a folder on your pc and name it anything. now copy the nbh ans ruu.exe in that folder. run the ruu by double clicking it. this should be done when you get usb on your screen, if done correctly you rom flash should start flashing and a bar will appear on your phone.

When a try to flash with flashtool only this show device coonected with usb debugging off for 2011 devices line be sure you are not in mtp mode how i can turn on debugging usb when i cant run the phone. Seus dont see phone. Please help.:crying:

Connect in flashtool, relock bootloader. Use seus to install fresh fw.

Try to use a different charger. I got the same bug with a sola . It worked with a samsung wallcharger. The sola was not loading with the sony charger when i turned it of. Other's reported this bug when phone turns off because of empty battery.

I think your phone hard bricked !
In this situation if you couldn't reset your phone by holding power+volume up till it 3 times vibrate , try power+volume down when you connected to pc sometimes it reset your phone.
try power+volume up when you plugged in wall charger till 3 times vibrate ( in some situations it happens after 30 second you hold both.
If none on this reset your phone , its only way that you send it to repare service of sony to re write your bootloader by JTAG box. I had the same problem when I install an improper kernel and I search all of net and try all thing I found but after 2 week I can't solve the problem and only way to back your phone to work is, re writing your bootloader by JTAG box

that happened to me once. I removed the battery, connected the wall charger, and then put the battery back. It was the last thing I tried and it worked.
(Yes, I had to open the phone, so I don't have warranty)

I install some software to add the posibility to reset my tablet when my son put pasword and forget :silly:...al good for 2 days,but now my tablet is not switch on again,I try al the difrent combination with presing and hold difrent buttons but nothing.Strange is that if i conect on the USB my computer signal me the something is conecting...but under ODIN nothing apear.
What to do???

At first charge your Tab for 4-5 hours,than try to Boot into Recovery mode and do a factory reset.
You will lost all your privat settings, also your look pin.

I let'it charge 8 hours but nothing,If i try to but on recovery nothing apear on screen..is dead.Only when i conect to USB port it apear on my computer,but is UNKNON DEVICE.No ODIN no KIES nothing.I thing that is briked :crying:

hey,
take your tab into a DARK room, power on like you would normally, look at the screen at an angle while holding down
the power on button, if no light emits from it, do the recovery boot, and if again odin mode.
if you see light emitting from your screen on regular boot do not shut tab down, take it directly to your computer
and connect open your my computer icon on desktop after get adb running, in adb type adb start-service [enter]
then, adb devices [enter] if it's connecting your device number will show. additionally ask your son specifically what happened,
dropped,submerged,power surge,left sitting in sun etc.
for odin try connecting your tab FIRST then fire up Odin and see if it grabs. keep you flashable firmware/kernel/recovery
ready.
now the device i used to have was a rockchip tab but, i had a similar problem.
if any results please post an update.

I've got a water damaged OP3 (it was in a pool for about 1min). Now after a few days having it in a pot of rice and cleaning the logic board with 100% isopropanol it finally woke up when pressing power button.
My problem now: It just shows up with a Linux Logo (a small Tux in the middle of the screen) and then turns off after 3 seconds. If I connect it with a charger, the screen persists for the moment.
When pressing + holding volume up button, windows recognizes it as "unknown usb device" and screen stays black.
I only need to access the flash to rescue some of my recent (of course not backed up) data.
What do you suggest? Could I try the unbrick the phone or do these symptons point to a irreversible hardware damage?
Is there a way to read the flash without flashing (or with flashing a minimum set of) stock image?

you better avoid doing experiments on op3. Symptoms you have mentioned in your thread, tells that your has been flashed (don't have usb drivers,no os,no firmware). I have faced same problem with my letv le 1s. It is a software problem. Your phone is totally empty. So do contact with any software technician, he uses sp flash tool to wake up the device. Download sp flash tool and follow procedure. If sp flash tool is detecting your device then it means your device hardware is fine.

Have you installed the necessary drivers in Windows for the phone to show up as Qualcom HS-USB..........Loader9008? Otherwise your phone will not be recognised when you do volume press for 10 seconds and connect. Even if it is recognised in this "service" mode, you may be able to unbrick/restore your phone but in the process, the entire phone would be wiped clean. (I know since I have done it).

I've tried to get the phone into EDL Mode (Qualcomm chip), but had no success, phone vibrates and windows recognizes an "unknown usb device" (pressed Volume Up and connected to USB, phone was definitely turned off). But I am not able to get the device recognized as "QHSUSB_BULK" which - afaik - is the prerequisite to install the Qualcomm USB Driver und go on with the unbrick procedure..
I hope anyone got some idea how to get the phone back to life..

Your understanding of the unbrick steps is not correct. Initially the phone will not show up at all or may show up as unknown or something else. It is only when you install the EDL mode drivers and then hold the power button down for 40 seconds and the hold down the volume up button for 10 seconds and connect to PC, will it show up in the EDL mode. Ofcourse you will have to disable the driver signature verification before installing the drivers.
Read the Unbrick Guide again and install the drivers before trying to connect.

Thanks so far, but being a software developer myself I am not a totally beginner. I followed the guide, also read it twice etc.. Also tried another USB cable including the original Oneplus cable.
When plugging it in while pressing Volume Up my Linux laptop reports this:

No need to worry.. Of course, you couldn't know and there are a lot of people asking dump questions..
My phone is back a life, I guess the data transfer via USB is not working anymore, charging works although I needed to take my Oneplus One's battery (identical connector, just need to take care of the pin layout [+/-]) because my OP3 battery is pretty low and I don't know if I can reactivate it.. It has about 3,4V at the moment and charges very slow..
Finally, if anyone else faces this issue and can't boot his phone:
Try different button combinations and keep holding the buttons several seconds/minutes..

I had some problems with flashing, phone got disconnected from pc during fastboot flashing (loose cable) and after reconnecting I couldn't flash anything so I restarted the phone. Now all I've got is black screen (the backlight works but I can't see anything) I can restart the phone when holding power button and doing the combination of power up and vol+, but it's the same. If I connect the phone to pc in this conditon nothing happens, I can't hear any sound indicating that phone is connected, nothing in device manager, I even disconnected the battery and tried the edl pins but it's the same result, pretty weird. Can anyone give me any hint?

Yeah, but the point is, you can connect to pc and flash things and I can't do anything, I suspect my computer fried usb board or something on the motherboard bc it's impossible I can't get qualcomm hs-usb loader 9008.
As it turns out, after rebooting the pc, it doesn't boot anymore. Phone doesn't work and pc. Coincidence? formatting pc was needed (pc works now), could it be a virus or my power supply simply gave too much voltage to the usb? I was doing everything during the storm, y'know, thunders.. I don't know anymore, I tried even connecting to a different pc and the result is the same. I can't do anything on my phone, could it be broken usb board?
EDIT: It connects now in edl, I was shorting the pins incorrectly (can't touch the ground [shielding] while shorting the pins). Pls close this thread.
