Go to themes and apps section, look for sound mod which supports all roms, follow instructions, volume should be more now, don't think this will fix the problems of your recipients hearing low sound.

I've been using Omni from a long time. Never had this problem. Try factory reset and installing Omni again. But I use N7100 and you have N7105 so something might be different.

Low call volume on ics

I have tried multiple ics roms - only tmo based - and have had low call volume on all of them. Is this ics specific or phone specific? I have done multiple dark side cache wipes and follow all standard installation instructions carefully with each new rom. Can I fix this and if so how? Thanks

This sounds phone specific, as all of my previous ROMs (I am currently using AOKP so this is a known-issue) had standard in-call volume. You can try Volume+ as I know that app has a way to change in-call volume that may or may not work. Hope this helps!
With most ICS based roms right now, they are usually ports or leaks from other carriers phones, meaning there are going to be some bugs with the phone.
With most of the ICS roms, it is also a known issue of the call volume being too low, and it is known to the developer.
You might just have to sit back and wait for more stable builds or wait for our great developers to find fixes to the problems!

Stock rom system sound is amazing, any custom rom speaker sound is too low, why?

Hey all,
why in any custom rom the maximum ringtones, notifications, songs, and anything that uses the phone speaker is very low you can barely hear the ringtone, the morning alarm - sometimes i miss it -, however in stock roms the sound is amazing and sometimes noisy? why guys? and any fix or a possible solution to fix this?
am running CM10 nightly BTW

I don't know if this phone is like my previous LG Optimus 2X but it also was like that, on Stock ROMS the speaker was way louder than on CyanogenMod based ROMS, try using a stock based ROM or install Volume+ from the Play Store it helps with the speaker volume. (Be careful with Volume+ and don't put the value too high or else the sound may be distorted.)
i've already tried the volume+ with no luck, i think its related to the speakers drivers in sense stock rom, and am looking for an advanced help to be brought to CM10, hope anyone from the dev team to find a real fix for this.
probably due to a proprietary driver in the tegra that is closed source... android is an open source software for closed source handset...

[Q] Proven Method to Increase Volume for Notifications/Ringtones?

Hello everyone. I am currently running mROM by mwalt2. The rom itself is fantastic, no bugs, great battery life. However, the trouble I am having is that I don't always hear notifications when they occur. RIngtones are usually fine, but notifications are a bit frustrating. I know this is a stock problem on the gnex but I am trying to find some proven methods that increase notification volume. I am a bit new, but I do know various kernels, have their own sound control support. Does this sound control actually increase notification volume? Right now I am using the kernel that came with mROM, but I was looking at Tiny, Lean, and others. Does anyone have proven experience with any specifics kernels and how they increases notification volume? Any step by step would be greatly appreciated.
Also, has anyone tried this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1748803 Any thoughts or success stories? Thanks!

Kernel sound tweaks only modify headphone volume.
The simplest solution I can come up with would be to rip the .ogg files out and increase their gain...
Then swap 'em back in.
Thanks for the reply. You're the first to clarify this for me.

1. Put speaker part inside cup/glass
2. .....
3. Victory!
Some equalisers can increase speaker gain, but the downside is sound quality.

[Q] Lack of TW Roms...Other Options?

After all this time now the only ROMs out there that are TouchWiz Based are
Tweaked
Jedi Master
Right? Is this really the only set of options we have? I need to have WiFi Calling and both of these ROMs seem to have issues... one with WiFi not even wanting to work half the time (Jedi) and the other making it sound like the conversation is taking place inside of a can (Tweaked)... Any other suggestions aside from Odin to Stock??
Look in Android development. There's more then those 2 or you could make us one. DROID premium has a fairly popular AOSP themed and I have a little project*it is in hold until 4.3 though) By the way I ran tweaked for a long time and never had a problem with sound quality. Dwitherell doesn't add in any sound mods except the optional volume boost so there should be no change from stock. Having said that you could try a different kernel or done sound mods, I recommend Viper audio.

Did you report your issue with Tweaked in the tweaked thread and I missed it? If so my apologies - as kintwofan said there was nothing directly done to the rom to alter call quality. Did you use any of the sound mods? What kernel were you using? Was this on wifi calling? Did this happen right away after installing the rom (before any themes/mods)? Did the "can" effect always happen regardless of location (so no matter what tower your phone may be connected to)?

I did not maybe I should though... not certain its a ROM issue. That's why I wanted to try another one. I really like Tweaked so far but the sound is off.

Headphone volume on OB3

Hi all. Many have noticed that the headphone output has taken a hit with the latest beta. I use V4A and even that isn't really doing the trick. I installed EX Kernel, which does a great job at improving volume... But unfortunately I'm getting phone freezes whenever I join a public WiFi if I use a custom kernel, so I've had to go back to stock.
Does anyone have a way of boosting headphone output above and beyond V4A? I've tried editing the mixer_paths.xml file... But it no longer exists!
Any ideas?

I don't own a 5t so can't really comment on the quality but, one thing I'm kinda sure is that on oreo google shifted the mixer path xml to "system/vendor/etc/".

They did move it to vendor/etc but the there are no numerical values to change under headphones like there was in 7.1.1.
I found it, and thanks for the pointer! I did try changing the values I used to change before (HPHL HPHR RX1 RX2) but it's not working now I'm not sure it worked then either!
Any other ideas m

Only option is the custom kernel with sound control route. Which kernel were you using that was giving you problems?
I used to always edit my mixer_paths_tasha headphone values to 84, playback gain control on slight -1.9db and kept the master output gains at 0 in v4a and that was more than enough volume for me. Now I just run sound control headphone gain at +2, and playback gain control and output gains are still at same levels and the volume is the same.
It's happened on both EX Kernel and Blu_spark kernel... I'm back on stock and will see if it happens again tomorrow. It SEEMS to happen when I'm listening to Spotify and I rejoin a public WiFi that requires login through a splash screen. Yes... It's very specific, and entirely possible it's not kernel related. However, I know that all custom kernels experience some WiFi weirdness (delayed WhatsApp notifications on WiFi only etc.) That's my best guess at the moment anyway...

Try FrancoKernel, I havent had any issues with wifi and the latest update today has wifi fixes in the changelog.
Edit: that is, if your issue has anything to do with custom kernel specifically.
Flashed new kernel 1.16 and downloaded kernel adiutor from playstore. There you can increase the volume

That worked! No problems on Franco (this morning at least) Guess whatever he's done with the wifi module has done the trick
Wrong thread, oops.
