Thanks man this sound problem is not only fm radio it also affects Skype Viber and some other apps with the exact same problem so you can change your thread name to something more general

also the mega link is protected and needs a password but the other one works fine
Good Job :good:

There should be a toggle for NFC in the notification panel. If it's not there scroll all the way to the right and go into toggle settings, enable the NFC toggle, and then switch it off.

As far as can be determined...
The only US variant with working FM is the Sprint LS980. The other US devices have the FM antenna pin grounded.
Furthermore, there's a weird analog switch chip to route BT or FM digital audio to different ports on the SOC. Non FM models don't have this chip.

Quick workaround that might solve your problem....
Startup Manager is an app where you can add programs you want to launch on boot.
I tried and got the app to start on reboot.
It doesn’t start in the background so your first image on reboot will be the call manager..
It's not an perfect solution, but would help so you don't forget to start the app.
Maybe somebody else know about something better..
Thanks for the Startup Manager idea.
The SGS version is only for Froyo and doesn't work on an SGS with Gingerbread rom. So don't expect it to work on SGS II for now.

Callrecorder doesn't work with my Bluetooth car kit - just get feedback over the speakers (though the recording is ok). Anyone else having success with BT devices?
SGS/amended libs with Total Recall worked perfectly over same BT kit, so I'm guessing Callrecorder is recording from microphone instead - which works when using the handset mic but not so well with a high gain car mic?
Now that we've got root, is there any way to get rid of the loud, godawful camera noise? It seems to be part of the stock ui since selecting silent in vignette doesn't work, etc.

Nope, there's no off option in the stock app, and silent options in apps like vignette don't work for Japanese market phones. It seems to be forced at the rom level. Anyone rooted on a Japanese arc that can relay whether custom roms get rid of the shutter sound?

try this:
Go to "/system/media/audio/ui" there are folders like sound1, sound2 and sound3. go in the folders and remove the "camera_click.ogg"

Don't you guys worry about probably breaking the laws of your country?
I've done it. First, I rooted the S0-01C, then got all the ADB drivers and such working on my PC. Remounted the /system in rewriteable mode using this guide here, http://karuppuswamy.com/wordpress/2...stem-partition-in-read-write-mode-in-android/
then went to the /system/media/audio/ui directory, and replaced camera_click.ogg with an empty ogg (opened notepad, saved as camera_click.ogg) using root explorer. Vignette is now completely silent.
Thanks for all the help!
Use Root Explorer
Rename /system/media/audio/camera/sound3 to /system/media/audio/camera/soundx (or anything you like)
Rename /system/media/audio/camera/sound0 to /system/media/audio/camera/sound3
Then select sound3 as the shutter sound in camera.
This is for HK rooted model LT15i 3.0.A.2.181
proliant's method is work on my Arc

and for unrooted sony phone?
You have to live with the sound then unless you can turn it off in the camera menu.

Just a quick call out on the forums - I need people who are still running untouched Sense to do a tiny bit of audio testing to fix some bugs in CM9/CM10 GSM. If you have CDMA CM9/CM10, please also test this out so we can confirm if the bug is there too.
It is about solving a bug with how the phone handles switching between phone calls and media audio with the headset connected. What happens is, if you have a headset connected, and accept a call, after the call ends, the right audio channel becomes silent. At least, in every CM9/CM10. The incredibly hard working maxwen has been testing many different fixes for this but it seems to not be a kernel related bug.
The link below is for a three second audio file demonstrating this issue. The first second of the file is both channels making noise, the second second is just the right channel, and the third second is just the left channel. Initially, you should hear it as normal through headphones. If you take a call (or make a phone call) with the headphones still connected, and then play the file again, the middle second will be completely silent, as the right channel is no longer playing.
At least, this is the behaviour for all CM9/CM10 GSM users (confirmed!). What we need to do is discern whether or not this also occurs in Stock, and if so, on which versions of stock. Here is the file:
http://www.mediafire.com/?04pivyo00wra2g2
Please test it out, and then report back with your results and software version/kernel version. CM9/CM10 GSM users, please feel free to give it a try as well, though at this point both maxwen and I have confirmed the bug exists in those ROMs. CDMA CM9/CM10 users, definitely test it out. For those still confused, this is a visual representation of what happens:

Aha, so this is what happens. I had reported this issue but didn't notice the problem was with the stereo channels.

Thanks for investigating this so thoroughly.
Hi
What I just discovered
Is this happening for you also if you never switch to the speaker during the call?
So all output always over headset.
Cause if I NEVER switch to speaker during the call it works for me now
but have to check what I changed now for that

Yes, all output via the headset on my tests, I didn't test with the speaker.
My testing so far:
1) Start call -> hangup -> connect headset --> audio OK
2) Connect headset -> start call -> hangup --> audio in mono
3) Start call -> connect headset -> hangup --> audio in mono
4) Connect headset -> start call -> disconnect headset -> hangup --> audio in mono

The phone has call recording built in. You just need to enable the hidden button for it and it will appear right in the dialer screen. Several roms include the mod. It can also be uncovered using either a modified secphone.apk or the xposed framework.
All options require root and are easy to find out about using Google.
