Hi....
Recently my phone got locked with an unlimited pattern attempts, so I decided to factory reset using the bootloader. Now I cant even boot into the bootloader using the power and volume down key combination... Its just a blank screen. When I charge the phone, a green battery sign appears, telling me how much percent of battery is there. Other than that, I cant boot into the OS, recovery or bootloader. What should I do?
What you get when you just press power button?
Nothing...

Do you have usb charging and debug mode enabled in settings?
You have stock rom or?
What do you now about your mobile phone (software version, hboot version, etc..)?
The rom was factory reset as i told you... after that i have remained unable to start the phone, or boot into bootloader... the phone starts charging when connected using a usb or adapter... it was running android 2.3.5 sense 3.0 wwe. It was unrooted and s-on...

Help! I think my phone is bricked! I can't get into the hboot menu (vol down and power button). Nothing happens when I did it. Also, when I press the power button (after re-inserting the battery), it vibrates, and then nothing happens too.
Before this happened, I was trying to install one of the custom roms, then clockworkmod started to become screwy (display seems to look weird). After that i managed to get into the hboot menu but i could not navigate. The SD checking didn't even happen.
Now, when i connect my phone to my PC, the LED turns red and nothing happens. If i connect it to the wall socket, the LED does not light up.
Do you have any solutions? Your help would be greatly appreciated!
what version of cwm you use? did you try pluging the phone to the pc then try to enter hboot
Uhh is there any way to check what version of clockwork mod I have? cos my phone totally cannot be started up... And i tried going into hboot by connecting to my PC.. it doesn't work..
I'm not sure if it matters but when I go to the hboot menu, I cannot navigate the menu straight away unless I hold the vol down button for a few seconds. Then it let's me select menu items.

thanks, but right now i can't even get into the hboot menu...
First of all try to take out the sd card. Change it with another one. Take out the battery.
Put it in after a minute. Try to get into hboot. What happens when you try to boot up into the system?
Happened to me some what the same, when i tried mtd partition wrongly, recovered with ruu flashing, then start every thing from beginning

Download the RUU on your pc, connect your phone and flash it with ruu and ull get back your phone. But ull hv to start all over, coz ruu gets u to the stock sense rom.

@ZooMas well it doesn't boot to hboot... i tried to take the SD card and insert another one and waited for a minute then booted it but nothing happened...
@showlyshah & Nakulkhanna its okay if i start all over.. I'll try it later..
Uhhh i tried using the RUU.. But everytime it says "waiting for bootloader" then the install failed and it says connection error.. and on my phone nothing happens. So do i need to reflash the bootloader or something? i still cannot load to the bootloader..
Maybe your phone is really bricked... is your phone older than a year ? I mean is it still in warranty or not?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
sadly its over a year.. i need to pay 80SGD to repair... oh well.. I wasn't playing with the radio or anything.. hmm i wonder why it was rooted. Anyway it does charge up when I switch it on... I just can't enter the bootloader..
Hmmm... as u said that your phonr still taking charging and it vibrates too when u insert battery and hit power button.. so maybe it means that your phone is still working or at least it has some life left but its the screen which is not working... probably coz it doesn't have any driver too turn it on...
Ok so try this now...
reinsert the battery and press power button, if it still gives that vibration then connect it to your pc... and see if your pc detects anything and gives a positive usb connect sound confirmation like we get when connect any usb things... pen drive n stuff.
And if it gives that sound, then run the RUU and see if then it can install the stock rom.

@Nakulkhanna
Yeah it does detect something, but its the transclucent drive icon and when you click it it says "please insert a drive to drive (G". Also I tried to install the RUU after I inserted my phone switched on, but it just get to "Waiting for bootloader...(number)......" and after the number turns to 100 it just get into an error 171 "USB connection error". My phone doesn't restart when it is in the stage "Rebooting into bootloader." Nothing just happens.. So what do I do now?
Sorry for late reply.... been busy last few days...
Seems like your problem is too big for me to solve... but there is a memeber here '3xeno' he is a mastermind guy... try asking him, maybe he could help u out... you can find him easily.

Hello,
I've been using my rooted/unlocked Galaxy Nexus for a while now with no problems at all. Earlier today it rebooted for no reason when it was just sitting on my desk. The phone never actually booted and was stuck in a boot loop. I pulled the battery and restarted and went into the recovery menu to do a factory reset. Before I could select the recovery option my phone froze with an exclamation mark android on the screen. I pulled the battery again and now the screen doesn't turn on at all and the phone isn't recognized by my computer. I can't Adb, fastboot, or even Odin. However I can feel the phone vibrate when I power it on. Is there any hope for my phone?
I'm not too sure on this so I'd wait for someone for experienced to reply.
But I can say that it's very hard to brick a Galaxy Nexus. So have some hope.
How do you know you can't fastboot? Are you not able to pull the battery and boot into fastboot when connnected to a computer? Even if the screen doesn't show it, can you do "Fastboot devices" and see it in Command line?
If you can start it up and feel it vibrate, you're definitely not bricked.
Can you get into bootloader? Hold volume up+down and power on.
The android logo you recognised before with the '!' sign was 'Download mode'. If you can see anything on screen there should be no reason why you cant recover it. Don't worry your not bricked.
Same problem!!!

Thanks for the reply. If I hold the volume up, volume down, and power button with the battery in and with the USB unplugged I can feel a vibrate. When I plug the phone into my computer I don't see any fastboot devices. All the drivers are the same and I have tried several USB ports and cords.
If I remove the battery and connect the phone to my computer I hear constant USB connect/disconnect sounds and OMAP4440 constantly appears and disappears in the device manager. Still unable to detect the phone using fastboot or Odin.
What device do you see in device manager? My computer, properties, device manager (top left). It should say something like samsung galaxy Nexus adb device or something.

any luck? I am having similar problems. Phone will not be recognized and I can't access the bootloader. Constant bootloops
i had a similar problem last saturday. Worked on fixing it until yesterday. It was a corrupted sd(from what I can tell) so I never was able to start up my phone again or flash anything to it. I am waiting on a warrenty replacement from samsung. At first I could get to fastboot ect but all flashing errored out. Pretty soon I could only get to a screen with a phone ......triange.....computer screen. Thats where I am at now. I even tried a usb jig to get it back to download mode (which works on lots of samsung devices to get them back from bricked to the oden screen) with no luck. I have seen a few posts saying it is confirmed to work on galaxy nexus, but I had no luck. no luck. On the bright side I was able to pull my droid 2 global out of bricked state yesterday which made me feel a bit better.

Hi. Does anyone know if the battery can be recharged in Bootloader ? Because when i plug the cable in my phone, it automatically turns on in Bootloader and i can't go anywhere else. And i want to have enough battery in order to launch RUU... Thanks.
Afaik it doesn't. Flash stock recovery and you can charge with phone off.

it can be charged, but really slow, try to flash back the official recovery first through bootloader
I can go also to the official recovery. But what i have to do then ?
It happened to me before, but this time my bootloader is locked and I can't even unlock it.
Recovery is not working too - all I do is leave it charge on bootloader and it auto restarts but seems nothing to happen.
I don't know anymore how to unlock it since it says battery too low.
Tried every method.
Any ideas?

Sounds like you have the wrong boot.img if it's constantly rebooting.
And now you've locked your bootloader, you can't flash the correct one. (why can't you re-unlock it?)
You can flash a RUU to restore back to stock, just get plenty of charge in your phone.
Unplug phone
Enter fast boot (hold power and volume down till your bootloader shows)
Select power down option
Then plug phone into mains (not pc)
Let it charge, then you can flash a RUU
What software version was you running at stock?

When I enter power down it shuts down. When I plug it goes to bootloader and restarts over and over.
RUU will not work since battery is like 6%
Can't unlock since it says "battery too low"

Did you unplug the device first, then select the power down option from within the bootloader menu ?
Only then, can you plug directly into mains (not PC)
It shouldn't start up if you did it this way.

If this fails and you did these steps,
Put your phone into fastboot
Plug phone into pc
It should now say fastboot USB
Double click the fastboot charging script on your pc to execute it
.... Let your phone charge.
Here is the PC charging script

As I said tried that. It gives error due to low battery.
Edit: it gives error cuz bootloader is locked.
Now the script suddenly worked and it shows the voltage is going to increase slowly! I hope it will work.
Now I have recovery! Finally. Thanks to the person who made the script.

had same issue a while ago. HOX is charging for a few seconds until getting into fastboot mode. The script restarts the device times via fastboot commands. Very useful. I had to retype those commands by hand
