[Q] Help. IMEI lost. Plane mode blocked. No pin enter. No GSM. - HTC One X

Hello,
I'm french so excuse me for my english.
I've done all the HTC update until november 2013.
I've decided to test a new ROM cyanogenmod 10.2
So I've unlocked my bootloader, installed a Clockworkrecovery and flashed a ROM Cyanogen 10.2.
I tried other ROM like Sentinelrom and everything was fine.
My phone was perfectly working.
Since 2 days, I've lost my IMEI and the GSM function of my phone. It never ask the pin code.
I was using it without any problem, on internet with wifi, and suddenly it was blocked in plane mode but wifi, bluetooth still working but no more GSM.
When I do *#06# to see the IMEI, there is the standard window but no IMEI. I know my IMEI because I have the original box of the phone and it's printed ont it.
The plane mode is blocked in desactivation but never totally so it can't work.
I tried many things :
- Flash a new Cyanogen ROM. Works perfectly except the GSM - no IMEI no pin enter.
- Flash some HTC stock ROM (ICS 2.17, JB, 3.16, 4.18, etc.). Works perfectly except the GSM - no IMEI no pin enter.
I don't have any file/folder efs with the IMEI in the phone (search with ES Explorer rooted). I think the problem is here.
I would like to flash a HTC Rom with an RUU file, maybe it could solve my problem but my bootloader version is 1.72 so I can't.
My phone is S-ON so I can't downgrade the bootloader in an older version before 1.3x.
I would like to rewrite the IMEI but I don't know the file, the procedure, etc...
SO I NEED YOUR HELP !
Infos via fastboot getvar all : few number of IMEI are masked to keep my phone identity but I've the complete number.

Do you flash the boot.img via fastboot of the rom you are running ?

Yes. Every flash I do, I flash the boot.img who is in the zip file of each ROM with fastboot. I just check but it's the good file
(No problem with the start of the phone.
Usually I flash the recovery.img with fastboot too.)
I think a flash with RUU file works differently. It flash "all in one", even boot and recovery...

Yes but there is no ruu. Only things you can try is to reflash a rom, flash the boot.img and make sure you make a proper full wipe !
Other things to try :
Relock the bootloader and reflash the firmware, unlock and reflash a new rom again. If the imei and signal are still missing it's proper borked !

Yep, no RUU.
Any advice for a "very full wipe ? Usually I make "wipe data" / "wipe cache" / "wipe Dalvik cache" with the recovery clockworkMod. I've seen something named SuperWipe. Is it better ?
Same question for the firmware : wich firmware I should use ? If you know a very stable and secure version (combinaison) of ROM with firmware, I would know.
Thanks a lot for all your answers !

The 4.18.401 firmware is the one you need. A full wipe in my book is :
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced-wipe dalvik cache
Mounts&storage-format cache, data, system
Basically what you can try is to follow the next thread and flash the 4.18.401 firmware.zip. how to is described there, take your time to read the OP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
After the firmware flash you unlock the bootloader again and reflash the custom recovery and install a new rom with a full wipe.

[Q] Looking for Endeavour 1.29.206.11 please

I hope that this post is in the correct forum section - apologies if not and apologies if there is already a thread on this subject (I did try searching but nothing that provided a link to a RUU).
Here's what I've done:
Flashed a custom ROM to my UK O2 HTC One X
Then tried to restore it to stock without taking a Clockwork recovery backup (deleted all caches and storage in the process)
Tried to flash with stock RUU found online (1.26.206.2) but RUU software throws an error as the exisiting f/w is 1.29.206.11 and this is what it is expecting
I can access the HOX through fastboot to lock and unlock the device but I cannot see the "SD card" to copy over a custom ROM to at least get some life into the thing (it just sits at the white HTC loading screen until the battery dies).
Ideally I want to return the thing to stock (if anyone has a O2 UK 1.29.206.11 RUU) but failing that is there anyway to get a custom ROM on there (for installation with CWM) without my PC (Windows 7 or Mac available) seeing the HOX storage?
Thanks for reading and any help you can pass on.

if you can get into to CWM there is an option to mount sd in there somewhere, if you can't get into it maybe try re-flashing it

DO you mean extracting the 2 img files from the RUU zip and running from fastboot command prompt? If so, the second img file returns a [0000006] error.

Thanks for your help, appreciate it!
I've got the RUU you suggested from HERE
Now to apply this RUU all I need to do is run the file (exe) and follow the bouncing ball?
Then once flashed (back to stock), to install a custom recovery (so I can do a nandroid) is unlock the bootloader, install the recovery, and take the nandroid backup. To get the OTA Update(s), I'll need to relock the bootloader, do the automated system updater, redo nandroid, then onto a custom recovery once HBOOT has been updated via the OTA process?
EDIT: Take a nandroid backup first of course

NO You can't receive the OTA via custom recovery you need ctock recovery and stock rom unrooted
1) Lock your bootloader
2) Run the RUU
3) Apllay all update to 4.x.206.x 4.2.2 JB
4) Unlock your Bootloader
5) Install Philz custom recovery
6) Do a Nandroid Backup on 4.2.2.JB . Save on secure plase it is better to have 2 copies on nandroid on different place
7) If you wont Install custom rom or root the stock it is your decision and don't forget to flash the boot.img if you install custom rom

Huh ! You can't upgrade a phone if the software isn't for your phone. You can't update to higher versions with a 3.20.401 stock rom when the original software should be 3.14.111 ???

Yeah but that's not the official one that came with the phone !
The 3.20.401. Is a custom rom or nandroid backup from someone else.
You can't update a 3.14.111 tmob branded phone with a 3.20.401. Rom !

i bot my phone i have no branding its original nandroid backup from 3.20
Then it was rooted and rommed already. The original phones software is the one that comes out of the 2 commands i gave you earlier !
The software you have on it 3.20.401 (base of the custom rom) but its not the official one that came with the phone out of the box !
To get back to stock you have 2 options
1: keep a 3.20 clean stock rom on it (but impossible to install official updates)
2: install a nandroid backup for your official main and cid number + stock recovery (able to install official updates)
Choice is yours
Thank you.

microphone software problem

I have rebuilt my HTC one X and now it seems stable using onedroid.
I have tried other roms but had trouble with stability, keyboard or Microphone.
I have:-
FActory reset
flash boot.img (extractedfrom the zip file)
erase cache
Format system/ data everything.
full rom wipe with Philz
Installed zip
Then it asks if I want to unlock or root or something? cant quiet rememberI replied yes.
reboot.
power down
reboot.
Would installing firmware help?
If so which one. (PS the links were down)
And what order.
e.g.
relock (will that mean I can no longer unlock again?)
flash firmware
then boot.img

Keep your bootloader unlocked, easyer to fix things if needed
1: flash the boot.img of the rom
2: enter recovery and
- factory reset (full reset)
- wipe cache partition
- ADVANCED - wipe dalvik cache
- MOUNTS & STORAGE - format cache, data and system
3: then install the rom.zip and make sure you dont mis a step there ! and please check the MD5 hash number of the downloaded rom to make sure its not a bad download.
hboot on 1.39 should be fine. All roms work on that number.
Ok thanks,
Will follow verbatim.
When Philz asks the root? question before rebbot do I answer yes or no.
so no need for firmware then?
Fish
Choose no, and no you don't need a firmware.
Thanks tried that.

Is there anyway to rectify this? or am I snookered.
If i am not mistaken your Cid corresponds with Europe wwe. That means the 401 region.
So it could be 3.14.401 or higher like 3.18.401 or 3.20.401

OK thanks. It is a UK model,
I got it because the screen was crushed, so had to flash it as could not see the screen and then it would not charge.
A few times when I flashed it it just hung and on one occasion it even got hot.
Although running cyanogen its stable apart from mic.
Do you think the S/W is corrupt?
Which would be safest to try?
and waht are the implications. e.g. if I get the wrong one / go too high I could brick my phone.
Thanks again
Nah nandroid can't brick the phone. I would start with a 3.14.401.31 nand backup. When you boot into OS and touch is not working install a 3.18.401 !

Will report back
restoring a nandroid is just the same make sure it's on your sd card, enter restore and then click the folder and voila... (please note you must still flash the boot.img - just to be sure!)
Do I flash boot.img after restore (fastboot flash boot boot.img)?
I would start with a 3.14.401.31 nand backup. When you boot into OS and touch is not working install a 3.18.401 !
SO do I restore the 3.14 nand, then reboot
flash boot.img, reboot

. EDIT OOPS thats another command for TWRP?
then back to recovery and re-install 3.18, flash boot etc.?
Thanks
Yep always flash the boot.img from the nand to be safe
Twrp argghh
Well those nandroids are saved with TWRP.
Unfortunately the touch screen version of TWRP does not work with my phone so have to use JB version.
Unfortunately JB does not mount as USB storage, so cannot load nandroid to it.
Tried ONeX adb but would not work as file is not a ZIP file
So I guess i need to flash CWM recovery, copy files over, flash back to TWRP then restore.
Could not find backup for restore.
Did backup, found backup, copied downloaded nandroid (tar.bz file) to folder, still not visible.
So I guess falsh back to CWM again, suss out what to do with file? extract with winzip maybe?) back to TWRP
find directory and files etc, then try to restore again.
Boy is this going to be dirty
EVEN more TWRP
Just realised that I may need to install 2 nandrois, 3.14 then 3.18 BUT one has a boot.img as a seperate download and the other doesnt.
Will try to install the 3.14, the fastboot flash boot boot.img it and see what happens, then Ill be stuck cos no boot.img for tohter?
A nandroid should always contain a boot.img in the folder .....
As predicted touch not working
Now trying 3.18
As predicted touch not working
Now trying 3.18
and the boot .img
is boot.emmc.win
It's a twrp recovery nand. Flash the recovery.img and the boot.emmc.win file.
Fastboot flash boot boot.emmc.win

[Q] One X relocked with no rom on

Its been a while since flashing roms and I was going to sell my one x but needed stock software and unrooting. But I have ended up with my phone stuck in fast boot with it saying re locked at the top. I think i know where I went wrong but its too late. I dont have any backup because it was ages ago and I have tried various stock roms all returning errors. This is what I was following:
"fastboot oem Lock"
2) "fastboot oem rebootRUU"
3) "fastboot flash zip firmware.zip"
4) "fastboot reboot-bootloader"
5) "fastboot flash "unlocktoken Unlocktoken.bin"
6 "fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-4.18.401.2-endeavoru-JB.img
7) fastboot flash boot ( the boot.img from the custom rom)
8) go in to recovery and install the custom rom.
I got stuck at 6 giving me an error, I presume it was the wrong file.
Do I actually have to do fastboot oem Lock, because its relocked?
Could anybody help me out with what stock roms and file I need please? I know there are a lot of posts but each one is idividual and with different firmware.
Thanks Guys

Awesome mate, your a legend!
When you say to use phillz or cmr, can I use these because all I can do is access the fastboot screen? Even if I select recovery in fastboot the htc quietly brilliant screen pops up then goes back to fast boot menu.

Go on to HTC Dev and get another unlock token, and proceed to unlock again, then flash CWM or Phillz, then recover your phone with the backup i provided. I have also provided the stock htc recovery in the folder seperately.

No, on Clockword Mod or Phillz recovery you use Backup and Restore option, you don't flash the zip file, i zipped it up so i could upload to dropbox, just flash the 2013-02-05.20.39.08 folder under restore, there should be a folder called Clockword Mod on your SD Card or something like that.
Sorry for being an idiot im just concerned because I was up till 4.30 this morning trying to sort this out. in cwm folder is one called downloads which goes into recoveries folder, does the folder 2013....go in there? Then by flash do you mean going to fast boot- backup/restore - restore? because it says no file found still.

On your storage you should have a file called clockworkmod and inside that you should have another folder in there called backup, so your 2013-02-05.20.39.08 file should be in that backup folder.

Sorry there is no back up folder in there. Ive tried installing phillz over cwm it says complete but after flashing and when i reboot its still cwm. and in rom manager when I try to update cwm it gives me an error.

So then go into CWM or Phillz recovery then go to Backup and Restore and restore that 2013-02-05.20.39.08 file, then you should be back on stock H3G rom, then just flash the recovery i put in the folder separately, then you should be fully stock, then relock your Hboot/bootloader then you should be able to update your rom OTA to 4.2.2 and hboot to 1.72
Ok, so finally got there in the end. Hopefully. I have one more question and i will leave you alone.....ive sent the lock message and the bootloader now says relocked again. Is this different from locked? Can i get it to say locked instead of relocked as this looks like its been rooted before?
Thanks

now take the boot.img from nand backup and flash it via fastboot with the command fastboot flash boot nameofboot.img but you must unlock it again and after this relock it again
Ok cool, that looks like its worked. Thanks for that buddy! Do you know if there is any way to change the ****relocked*** back to ***locked***

HTC 816 dual sim possibly bricked, in desperate need of help.

Hi guys!
Last week, I rooted my phone and installed CM12 nightly, due to the problems of CM12 integration of my 816 dual sim variant, I decided to unroot the phone and restore it to it's stock firmware.
Being the n00b that I am, I locked my bootloader using WinDroid, once the bootloader was locked the phone got stuck at the bootloader screen showing ***Tempered*** ***Relocked*** on top.
After looking up similar problems, I've downloaded various stock RUU in .zip format and they wouldn't flash into my phone.
Today, I've tried re-unlocking the bootloader by flashing the unlock_code.bin through fastboot and it worked, the deviced booted into CM12 boot screen and got stuck there and didn't proceed to home screen.
I restarted the phone into recovery and TWRP worked perfectly, did a delvick and cache wipe, restarted the phone again into recovery to flash the .img restore file and the TeamWin Team also got stuck there. Being desperate, I've flashed CWM hoping it'd work, now all I get is a black screen when I choose to go to recovery for the bootloader. Also, when I restart the phone without going into recovery, CM12 boot screen still shows up and don't proceed to home screen.
and here is my phone info:

Thanks Seekfind for your reply! I've been trying to flash CWM since an hour now many times and it didn't work. I'm afraid that I have another n00b question, I'm not sure if the device still has root access or not, can I flash SuperSU through fastboot? Also, does restoring the phone back to it's stock ROM require a root?
Thanks!
You need to flash one recovery either TWRP or CWM via ADB
Then install the stock RUU for your ROM, you don't need to have root access in your ROM to go to Stock.
If it's not working, then try flashing the CM12 ROM again after wiping data, cache etc and enable USB Debugging and then try to flash the recovery.

Hey Dark69Slayer, thing is:
1. I cannot access recovery, TWRP or CWM, is there a way to delete them in order to reflash them?
2. When I get access to TWRP -which happens once after every 15 flashes- it gives me an error when I wipe cache or data?
What should I do?
Copy all your data from phone
Flash Stock Recovery
Lock Bootloader
Install Stock RUU ( use HBOOT to install the RUU)
