i'm a new to all this android stuff. i have a gionee p3 stucked at boot screen.. with stock recovery but i have a nandroid backup which i had made earlier using carliv touch recovery based on CWM.. now i want to restore the backup but i cant install cwm or any update from recovery so that can restore the backup... i have also tried 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img' but it gives an error 'partiton recovery not support flash... i have also tried this"" [HOWTO]- Performing a Nandroid Restore Manually using ADB"" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614016 but i got error after step 13 "nandroid-mobile.sh not found" what do i do now please help me.....thanks for giving me time....HELP...:crying::crying:

Use Carliv touch recovery port tool to create the recovery for device.
Place the recovery.img to the Carliv Port tool folder.
Select manually and then it will prepare the recovery for your device.
It can auto-flash the recovery to the device.
But if it somehow fails, you try to use the SP Flash tool to flash the Carliv Touch Recovery.
Just simply load the scatter file of your device.
Check recovery and browse to the recovery prepared by Carliv Port tool.
Then flash the recovery.
Your problem should solved now.
I recommend after this you to do backup via MTK Droid Tool and prepare it for flash tool.

Im sorry, my bad.
I thought its a media-tek device but it is not.
SP Flash tool and MTK droid tools won't work for your device.
I'l research on the internet and will let you know.
I have finally found a rom. Zip for p3 and i have also created the scatter file using mtk droid tool my device is mt6582.. I dont know how to flash plz help me and guide me step by step...

Okay I can help u surely now.
Do you have custom recovery in your device your device?
If you dont have a custom recovery installed you will obviously need to make one and then flash it.
You need to have the recovery.img of your device.
Download Carliv Touch Recovery Port Tool (Google it).
Extract the files to desktop.
Execute the Carliv Port Tool.
Paste the recovery.img of your device to the required folder.
The port tool will then prepare recovery for your device.
Once recovery is prepared, open SP Flash Tool.
Load the scatter file of your device.
Check the recovery option and then select the recovery prepared by Carliv port tool.
And then flash the recovery.
(read a guide how to flash recovery using sp flash tool for step by step tutorial).
Once recovery is flashed, reboot to the recovery.

Would really help to know what files are contained in that ROM.zip file because for SP flash tool, you'll need scatter file and other files like system.img , boot.img etc

I've Gionee P3, I've rooted by using kingroot, and I've installed xposed installer,
And opened it then I open framework andbi clicked ins all/update but it is not correctly installed so I searched on Google how to install xposed installer on Gionee P3, I found one solution that is given in this link:

Now the problem is I've done all procedures on that video finally I opened xposed installer app and clicked install/update, it asked reboot your mobile and I clicked OK, then it reboots but suddenly it shows "Unfortunately Launcher has stopped" I've reset my mobile but still I'm having that problem.. I screwed up the original a900 rom, could not find a replacement rom so used the gionee elife rom. But sp tools is giving an error message saying that there is not enough space to copy the rom. Why is that happening?

I can help u dear please I m advising u don't flash any thing with sp flash tool. And post me current status of ur device; whether it boots in recovery mode or not. Send detail what u do with ur phone to reach at this problem

Oh, no. I already did that. I kept experimenting and now even the bootload screen would not show up. it is simply bricked,
I tried to install chainfire 3d. I did not realize that it is not compatible with ICS. so initially my phone was simply stuck at boot load, i.e. noir logo would show up but it would go no further. then i tried using factory reset, but it didn't work. tried replacing recovery.img and preloader only, didn't work. then tried to install a gionee elife 3 rom. got this message that not enough space. Now i'm stuck
Should I take it to the service centre?

OK can tell or phone boot in recovery or not . have u backed up before experimenting. And have u properly installed sp flash tool drivers. Hve u any recovery image to flash?

Can you provide the rom for a900 I need it. I will be thankful if the rom is sp flash tool flashable. I flashed blu life rom it starts but I am having problem like sims are not detectable and also when I try to recover from my cwm backup it gived error restoring system. Plz help.

I agree the recovery image you provided made my phone stuck to Qmobile logo then i read this message and downloaded the recovery image's link this guy has given and it worked perfect.

i have rooted my celkona85 using the above method but still i dont know how to flash a new rom for my device. before i ask for CWM for celkona85. i just wanna know the boot key for my celkona85. when i use vol+ and power button
a screen appears asking for
whole phone test
all that
actually i am getting any recovery option or fast boot option.
there is no CWM recovery available for celkona85 and also i dont know how to install CWM recovery in celkona85.
ALL i need is to Flash a new rom in my celkona85.
I would like to know whether it is actually possible or not.
any help regarding my issue is appreciable.

reboot recovery cmd ending in startup screen
I have rooted my celkon A85 device with the above method successfully.
I have also installed sdk and usb drivers for my lap to recognize my device.
when i use this cmd in cmd prompt
`adb devices`
my device is listed with device id, no problem with that.
now my issue is both boot mode and recovery mode is not working in my device
when i use recovery cmd
`adb reboot recovery`
"my device restarts and gets hang in the start up screen". Only if i remove my battery and start device again with power button it is getting rid of that start up screen. this time the device starts normally.
And when i use boot cmd
`adb reboot bootloader`
"my device restarts and starts normally like reboot instead of getting in to boot mode".
plz anyone with knowledge about my device celkonA85 help me with my issue.

i back up recovery and boot partitions using this cmds
# cat /dev/mtd/mtd1 > /sdcard/mtd1.img
# cat /dev/mtd/mtd2 > /sdcard/mtd2.img
i think in this mtd1 is the recovery.img that you asked for.
And if it is not an original recovery img plz ignore this.
i too need an CWM recovery for my device. so only i am attaching this files.
I have also problems with recovery and boot mode which i mentioned in below thread.
plz take a look on that too and do needful

Here is the stock recovery.img... which is like system diagnosis tool that tests system hardware.
Hi friends Finlay after hard work i find how to unlock Karbonn Smart A10
Required Files are:
1. Driver For karbonn A10 (I used Karbonn-A6-usb-driver-x86)
2. SRRoot
3. Mobile Uncle Apk
This are the steps:
1. Install Driver from below link

after install driver connect your mobile with pc and enable "Usb debugging" mode from "Developer Option" from Setting.
Now open SRRoot, and follow the step wriiten.
for me its not root my mobile in first try. but i try its second time and is Root success fully. 100%.

I tried your method but the recovery image you linked was not working for me! It even over rode my stock recovery, so I was damn scared but then I tried the manual CWM recovery link and it helped.
But i must say that there are no custom roms available for Karbonn Smart A10.
You should check the linked recovery because it made my stock recovery bad. ( Now its CWM) and i even tried to rename them to boot.img, and recovery.img
If you do know about a rom, please post it.

when i unlock my recovery, i backup my original boot.img, and i'm aware that my boot.img work on other Karbonn A10 smart device.

i could not have backed up my boot.img because i did not CWM installed, anyways now i do and now am hunting for a custom rom.
i can just port any mtk6577 rom but it could be risky and there is a battery prob with my phone, so a custom rom with 4.2.2 would worsen it further.
So i am staying put for this year and then gonna buy a moto g, x or e! depending on my score in the exams!!

I rooted the karbonn a10 and installed cmw recovery also. But after back up,the backup file is only 49 mb. Please tell me is it OK or is there a problem with that.I want to try custom ROMs and xposed frameworks with this. So I might need proper back up. Please help with this.

no the actual backup of rom is around 300MB it also created folder name "clockwork mode"
if any one who break karbonn A10 dont worry the solution is here.

Use The MTKDroid Tools it will automatically port cwm and install it on your device.
Or
You can use The CWM Recovery that I have attached and flash it using SP Flash Tool.
There's a video on youtube that you can refer it's an easy process which will install cwm recovery on your phone.
Just type cwm recovery for china phones and see there's a video for cwm recovery for all mediatek devices just follow that video.

I have Redmi 1s. I can not flash custom recovery through updater as well as in recovery mode. I tried to install MI flashing tools to my system but its not installing. How can install MI flashing tools to my computer plz help.
What miui version you use right now? Download twrp 2.8.4.0 with mi recovery included, and put it in internal memory and try the updater again.

Am using miui6 6.6.2 version. Before flashing miui6 i had install twrp to my device after flashing miui 6 don't know how twrp get deleted. After that I tried lots of time to install twrp but I couldn't install. I tried in fastboot mode also it shows successfully completed but twrp is not installed. Plz suggest.

custom recovery got replaced when installing miui 6.6. samething happened to me [emoji6]
I use adb to install twrp.
and thats the only thing you can do, I think...
goto

and follow the instruction on
"Fastboot Install Method" section.
I'm not responsible what will happened to your device. do it with your own risk. find more info on this site. and make sure you know what you're doing..

If u have used fastboot rom yes recovery gets replaced
just follow these steps
If u r windows 8 or 10 u dont need to install any drivers . Windows downloads it automatically but if u r on 7 u have to install the drivers.
And follow these steps (ignore if u know these already)
0)Make sure your pc have adb drivers .If u r on w7 then download them (just google them fior redmi 1s)
1)Download mfastboot files from here and extract them into a folder
2)Download twrp-2.8.7.0-armani image from here and move it to the folder of extracted mfastboot
3)Now hold shift and right click on mouse and click on open command window here
4)Now get your phone to fastboot mode
5)use this command mfastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.7.0-armani.img and press enter
6)Tada recovery installed
