2. SRRoot
3. Mobile Uncle Apk
This are the steps:
1. Install Driver from below link
http://d-h.st/KNK
after install driver connect your mobile with pc and enable "Usb debugging" mode from "Developer Option" from Setting.
Now open SRRoot, and follow the step wriiten.
for me its not root my mobile in first try. but i try its second time and is Root success fully. 100%.
You can download from here
http://www.srsroot.com/supported
2. Unlock Boot loader or CWM Recovery mod

Install APK file and close it.
download recovery file from below link and put it on your sdcard (not in any folder).
http://www.4shared.com/file/fes2PV-8/Karbonn-A10_130531__recovery_1.html

Did u root ur mobile if yes then follow the step no 2 in my post.:good:
Hello hemantparmarc!
I tried your method but the recovery image you linked was not working for me! It even over rode my stock recovery, so I was damn scared but then I tried the manual CWM recovery link and it helped.
But i must say that there are no custom roms available for Karbonn Smart A10.
You should check the linked recovery because it made my stock recovery bad. ( Now its CWM) and i even tried to rename them to boot.img, and recovery.img
If you do know about a rom, please post it.

sorry for currpeted ur Rom.
when i unlock my recovery, i backup my original boot.img, and i'm aware that my boot.img work on other Karbonn A10 smart device.
Use this link for more detail http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2379412 . its work for me.
U should read that it and try above link .. may be its work for u also.
There is alos stock rom for Karbonn A10 link below
http://androidxda.com/download-karbonn-stock-rom-models
still u have any problem reply.. dont forget to flow the step in link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2379412 it 100% work for me and my CWM mode work properly
i could not have backed up my boot.img because i did not CWM installed, anyways now i do and now am hunting for a custom rom.
i can just port any mtk6577 rom but it could be risky and there is a battery prob with my phone, so a custom rom with 4.2.2 would worsen it further.
So i am staying put for this year and then gonna buy a moto g, x or e! depending on my score in the exams!!
cheers

Use Carliv touch recovery port tool to create the recovery for device.
Place the recovery.img to the Carliv Port tool folder.
Select manually and then it will prepare the recovery for your device.
It can auto-flash the recovery to the device.
But if it somehow fails, you try to use the SP Flash tool to flash the Carliv Touch Recovery.
Just simply load the scatter file of your device.
Check recovery and browse to the recovery prepared by Carliv Port tool.
Then flash the recovery.
Your problem should solved now.
I recommend after this you to do backup via MTK Droid Tool and prepare it for flash tool.
Hit Thanks if I Helped U
Can u plz explain a little more how to use carliv port tool and sp flash tool.. And what is scatter file and where do i find that for my device.. Stock rom for my device is not available on the net yet..

Okay I can help u surely now.
Do you have custom recovery in your device your device?
If you dont have a custom recovery installed you will obviously need to make one and then flash it.
You need to have the recovery.img of your device.
Download Carliv Touch Recovery Port Tool (Google it).
Extract the files to desktop.
Execute the Carliv Port Tool.
Paste the recovery.img of your device to the required folder.
The port tool will then prepare recovery for your device.
Once recovery is prepared, open SP Flash Tool.
Load the scatter file of your device.
Check the recovery option and then select the recovery prepared by Carliv port tool.
And then flash the recovery.
(read a guide how to flash recovery using sp flash tool for step by step tutorial).
Once recovery is flashed, reboot to the recovery.
Install the zip you mentioned you have for your device.
Now you should be able to boot into your new android system.

All,
I just wanted to compile a list of steps and links I used for rooting my Sony Xperia T2 Ultra D5316. I have seen a limited amount of threads and information for our model and felt I should at least compile the information I used to obtain working root.
I did not create any of the mods or scripts used below and all credit goes to the developers.
Please use at your own risk and know that this will void your warrenty.
Files and links needed.
Supersu 2.40 by chain fire:

Dual recovery:
http://nut.xperia-files.com/ I used the flashable version.

Bootloader unlock link from Sony:
http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/
Use this thread to get fast boot and drivers:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2440597
Steps I used to obtain root with the links above.
1. First thing is to unlock the boot loader so you can flash a recovery, I used the official method from Sony.
2. Download and save the Supersu zip, Dual recovery and Stock rooted ROM to your root of the internal SD storage.
3. Boot the device into fast boot using the power button and volume up button, then use the sony fast boot tool to flash CWM recovery. At this point your device will essentially be bricked, but the following steps will un-brick it.
4. Once you boot into CWM you will need to flash the Dual recovery. This took me a few tries before it actually took and installed...
5. Now you need to boot into the dual recovery, I used the power button and volume down button.
6. Once in the Dual recovery you will need to flash the stock rooted ROM. This is the part that un-bricks your phone.
7. Now before you reboot you will need flash SuperSU.
8. Reboot and install busybox and any tools that you need root for. Oh and enjoy root on your device.
Again use at your own risk!!!
If you have any question please feel free to ask.
At which point would you do a back-up of your TA partition since you need root...Although I saw someone else who said they used Flashtool to unlock BL and didn't lose their DRM keys. Thanks

I did not backup my TA partition or my DRM keys, as root was needed to back them up. Also I am not sure about the "Flashtool" method as I did not use that method, I chose to go the route Sony offers (Sony's route "May void your warrenty")... I did just check my DRM keys though and it seems that most of them are still intact, and all of them are still active.
Thanks for the reply

So you put ALL the files on the phone NOT the sd card? I am going through all your steps and threads and just want to make sure I do things correctly. For other devices in the past I could watch a video or something to help in the process.

I put everything on the root of the phones storage so that I could make sure I was able to find it when I was ready to flash things. Best suggestion I can make is to make sure you install the Sony drivers and fastboot utility, and make sure you have all the files in place before you start because once you flash the CWM recovery you won't be able to boot into Android until you flash the dual recovery and flash the pre-rooted ROM. Also it took me flashing the dual recovery like 4 times before it would boot into it, and you will need to wait until you boot into the dual recovery before you flash the pre-rooted ROM and then flash the SuperSU. I tried flashing everything from the CWM recovery and I think that is what made me have to flash the dual recovery multiple times, once I flashed the dual recovery by itself and tried booting, it worked.
It took me about 3 days to go through all the different threads that had bits and pieces of information for the root... When you get done rooting, if you have any suggestions for the thread please let me know and I can edit.

Did you unzip all the files onto the internal storage? or keep them compressed "zip"?

All,
I just wanted to compile a list of steps and links I used for rooting my Sony Xperia T2 Ultra D5316. I have seen a limited amount of threads and information for our model and felt I should at least compile the information I used to obtain working root.
I did not create any of the mods or scripts used below and all credit goes to the developers.
Please use at your own risk and know that this will void your warrenty.
Files and links needed.
Supersu 2.40 by chain fire:
http://download.chainfire.eu/641/SuperSU/
Dual recovery:
http://nut.xperia-files.com/ I used the flashable version.

Stock rooted rom for D5316:

Thread with instructions and link:

If you have any question please feel free to ask.

the only dual recovery I was able to install was the flashable version, the other "installer" failed(red triangle with an exclamation mark). is this correct?
but i wasn't able go into dual recovery. tired many combinations of power button and vol up/down but nothing would happen, I've concluded that it didn't install.
are there any other options?
I used the flash tool to reinstall the rom.
I was thinking if i can flash a D5303 rom would that make it easier..
I used flashtool to UL my BL. Just make sure you have your Sony unlock code. Then I used the Xperia Tool Kit v1.0 (google it) to flash the Kernal but also reboot into fastboot. But at first same thing happened to me trying to get into recovery, but it finally worked after I kept trying.

Just my guess but maybe you just need to install your device drives. You can use Flashtool for that. Also make sure you installed ADB and Fastboot drivers as well. There is also a "minimal_ adb_fastboot v1.2 setup.exe" you can use to install both at once, just google it.
YAY! done thanks GE3K.me and jameswood24
I edited the steps a little to maybe help others.
All files i used minus the stock rooted rom can be found here:

Steps I used for d5316 single sim:
1. First thing is to unlock the boot loader so you can flash a recovery, I used the official method from Sony.
2. Download and save the Supersu zip, Dual recovery zip and Stock rooted ROM zip to your SD card.
3. Boot the device into fast boot with Xperia Toolkit , then use the toolkit to flash CWM recovery "T2U-SS_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKernel_FW-207_v01". At this point your device will essentially be bricked, but the following steps will un-brick it.
4. Once you boot into CWM you will need to flash the Dual recovery"T2U-lockeddualrecovery2.8.4-RELEASE.flashable". This took me a few tries before it actually took and installed...
5. Now you need to boot into the dual recovery, I used the power button and held down volume down button untill phone vibrated two times and showed green LED.
6. Once in the Dual recovery you will need to flash the stock rooted ROM. This is the part that un-bricks your phone.
7. Now before you reboot you will need flash SuperSU.
8. Reboot and install busybox and any tools that you need root for. Oh and enjoy root on your device.

Hello everyone, i'm pretty new to software modding (started again yesterday) but i have successfully customized my previous Nexus 4 with Cyanogenmod in the past and other things thanks to very easy guides online.
Now that the guarantee is void, i'd like to mod my Xperia Z1 Compact.
After a lot of tears and Boot Loops™ i finally managed to install Cyanogen Recovery and Cyanogenmod.
Now i'd like to switch to TWRP, as it provides Nandroid backups, which CMR does not, but i can't find any reliable source for this.
The device doesn't show up in the devices list on their website, so i'm really unsure what to do as i don't want to brick my phone
Also pretty much same situation with rooting, there are tons of various ways to root the device but the only tool i'd trust (Flashtool) doesn't allow me to root my phone.
Again i don't know which source to trust or what to do...
Any help would be highly appreciated!
Regards, Daniel

Rooting with unlocked BL is easy with adb/fastboot. Just download twrp IMG and copy it to /adb folder, and download SuperSU zip file and copy to phone. Then connect phone in fastboot mode, (power off, hold volume up, and connect cable, release volume when you see blue led), and use fastboot command 'fastboot flash recovery [name of twrp file].img'. Now you have recovery. Reboot to recovery and flash SuperSU.

@levone1 Thank you very much! Everything has worked flawlessly =)
Hi guys. I already flashed the twrp on this thread but; how can i flash another recovery? Do i need to just flash it again the same way i flashed the first recovery? Will it overwrite the old one automatically? Thanks for the answer. I'm just new to this so i just want to make sure.

yes. you probably want to flash it in flashmode or with flashfire, ive broken my recovery a couple times now and got it to work again. flashing a recovery image will wipe the recovery partition eg the previous rec
