ZTE n721 recovery required

hello sir,
first of all sorry for my bad english as i dont knew too much and m not professionnal...
I have a ZTE n721 android 2.2.2 froyo with
Baseband :- ZTE-U N721_H3_Z11_E_TSECD213B
KERNEL :- [email protected] #2698-
i want to know how can i root my phone phone and please tell me a suitable custom recovery for it..... and a custom rom as i am bored with my rom or if i can upgrade it android 2.3 gingerbread..... also send me download link....... pls rply fast as it is very urgent..

unfortunately there are no custom ROMs for your phone
all you can do is to root remove/add your apps and make a nandroid backup
this will be your "custom rom" I understand your frustration
you can try to root it by SuperOneClick
activate USB debugging on phone before better read thread above

did you use SuperOneClick or other tool to root?
believe me there is no CWM or custom ROM for your phone
I understand your frustration I was the same situation a few months ago when I buyed an Alcatel phone similar with yours in specs..but no custom ROM there..what to do ..so I made a custom ROM here
but believe me this is not easy at all because ZTE/ Alcatel are not well-known so no tools to prepare custom ROMs for these phones !
I will tell you the most important thing
never flash ROMs not made for your phone because these ROMs have a kernel that can affect/destroy your phone !

but you should have a recovery mode on your phone shutdown phone then press power +vol down and wait even 1 min if nothing on screen touch it or press a button (if this is not working remove battery put it back and start again but with power button+ volume up )
this is recovery mode but not CWM recovery and I think you do not need CWM because this is used to flash custom ROMs so what to do with CWM if you do not have a custom ROM to flash it by CWM ?
I do not want to tell you how to flash a CMW by fastboot because you will make a mistake and flash a CWM that is not made for your phone ...
believe me CWM is not useful you don't have a custom ROM to flash it by CWM and I do not know one !

sir i have tried both the method for going into recovery but in the first method of pressing vol down+ power button makes my phone stick on boot logo but does not go into recovery mode...... and the next method when i press vol up+ power button i start getting vibrated continuesly until battery is taken out so sir pls tell me any method of installing recovery as i want to reflash its stock rom sir pls tell fast sir pls..

you have menu/volup/voldown/power buttons check some combinations to enter fastboot when in fastboot mode your screen is blank/black no logo there... only sensors buttons are active!
i.e.
Turn off the phone. Then press Power shortly. Then press and hold Vol down Menu and Power . This should enter fastboot mode. Then connect your phone to computer and follow the rest of instructions.
I can't tell you more because I do not have this phone ...
when entering fastboot mode connect phone to pc and open cmd.exe in adb.exe folder usually \android-sdk\platform-tools\ also do not foreget to copy in this folder your recovery.img
then enter from cmd.exe console this command

done.. you have recovery installed find a key-combination to enter recovery now you can flash but where is recovery and stock rom ?
maybe you have a sync/update software to check for an update from manufacturer site ?!
maybe you have an installation cd or user guide ? check it!
to open cmd.exe start/run/cmd.exe also to open cmd.exe in adb folder easy way is to use Total Commander and navigate in adb folder then in Commands menu you have an option Open command prompt window
for adb.exe ...you need to install Android SDK

It possible to flash CWM by rom manager if fact this is very easy you know.. but still nedd that recovery here is the problem and to make nandroid backup you also need that recovery to enter it and make backup from its menu

you really want to do something with your phone but unfortunately none is good for your phone do not try !
to have CWM recovery you need sources for your phone to compile them
also a custom ROM can be made only by a person to have this phone because every feature/change needs to be checked on phone without a phone is very hard to do something
when you buy a phone be carefully read about available resources for it !
but I think Froyo is not bad at all !
also check some combinations to enter recovery usually phones come with a default recovery but you have to find how to enter it !
also you should post your question here

For Karbonn A1 to go to recovery mode PRESS POWER BUTTON + HOME BUTTON AFTER THAT U WILL SEE ANDROID LOGO WITH CROSS MARK ON THAT TIME PRESS CALL BUTTON. U WILL ENTER TO RECOVERY MODE.

When I switched off the phone and press ome button + power button my phone hangs on karbonn logo screen does any body having some solutions for this pls reply me fast urgent..

do at your own risk n Before doing this post plz make NaNdroid backup....

now download recovery manager from here

Install and Open recovery manager and Allow Superuser permissions.
go to recovery tab and click on install recovery.
Browse to the img file you downloaded. Click install n wait.
click on reboot into recovery to check custom recovery.
You have custom recovery now. You can now enjoy flashing custom ROMs an Add-ons to make you device faster and better. But be careful of what you are doing or you may end up with a precious paperweight.

Installing CWM Recovery For Qmobile Noir A900
1. Root your Noir A900
You can root it from thread I posted already here

3.Extract it and copy recovery.img to root of your sdcard
4.Download and install application Mobileuncle MTK Tools on Your Mobile. You can download it from Google play store on your device.
5.Run Mobileuncle tools application to your device and select recovery update
6.select recover.img file in sdcard
7. Allow super user permissions and reboot recovey
Thats it you will be in CWM recovey menu on your device .

I screwed up the original a900 rom, could not find a replacement rom so used the gionee elife rom. But sp tools is giving an error message saying that there is not enough space to copy the rom. Why is that happening?

I can help u dear please I m advising u don't flash any thing with sp flash tool. And post me current status of ur device; whether it boots in recovery mode or not. Send detail what u do with ur phone to reach at this problem

Oh, no. I already did that. I kept experimenting and now even the bootload screen would not show up. it is simply bricked,
I tried to install chainfire 3d. I did not realize that it is not compatible with ICS. so initially my phone was simply stuck at boot load, i.e. noir logo would show up but it would go no further. then i tried using factory reset, but it didn't work. tried replacing recovery.img and preloader only, didn't work. then tried to install a gionee elife 3 rom. got this message that not enough space. Now i'm stuck
Should I take it to the service centre?

OK can tell or phone boot in recovery or not . have u backed up before experimenting. And have u properly installed sp flash tool drivers. Hve u any recovery image to flash?

It may be different size for ur phone. I have tested personally it works fine.

Can you provide the rom for a900 I need it. I will be thankful if the rom is sp flash tool flashable. I flashed blu life rom it starts but I am having problem like sims are not detectable and also when I try to recover from my cwm backup it gived error restoring system. Plz help.

I agree the recovery image you provided made my phone stuck to Qmobile logo then i read this message and downloaded the recovery image's link this guy has given and it worked perfect.

Root Karbonn titanium s5 plus. Safest and working

Here is the method to root titanium s5 plus, from the phone itself.
Download the apk from here and continue. Download the 1.8.0 version.
Method
1 After downloading the file, install it on your phone
2 Select supersu from option and select 1st exploit ie. BOROMIR
3 You will get success, reboot the phone and your phone is rooted.
4 If you don't believe download root checker from playstore and check

1. Can u please give my detailed instructions on how to file using ".CPB" files?... I have tried .using ymdg tool...but no luck...
2. I have damaged my stock recovery.Can you please please please please please upload stock recovery?....I have a very complicated prob....I have installed unofficial cwm recovery. It doesn't update my phone or even factory reset....I have a file called "install-recovey.sh" is this useful? So pls pls pls upload stock recovery And also the default boot animation.....I would be really grateful!

Installdrivers correctly then try flashing by removing battery

Hey there are some steps to flash ROM .... First of all u have to flash recovery mode than u have to place the downloaded ROM in SD card and then turn off the mobile....and then afterwards go to recovery mode by pressing the buttons of our mobile.. It depends on ur mobile .that which u have to press to go to recovery mode after that. Go to install zip in SD. Card and. Flash the ROM from ur SD card ... Before this u have to do
Perform factory data setting and wipe the cache and then go in advanced menu and. Perform wipe dalvik cache and then install the ROM and the again wipe both cache and then reboot it phone and enjoy

i'm a new to all this android stuff. i have a gionee p3 stucked at boot screen.. with stock recovery but i have a nandroid backup which i had made earlier using carliv touch recovery based on CWM.. now i want to restore the backup but i cant install cwm or any update from recovery so that can restore the backup... i have also tried 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img' but it gives an error 'partiton recovery not support flash... i have also tried this"" [HOWTO]- Performing a Nandroid Restore Manually using ADB"" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614016 but i got error after step 13 "nandroid-mobile.sh not found" what do i do now please help me.....thanks for giving me time....HELP...:crying::crying:

Use Carliv touch recovery port tool to create the recovery for device.
Place the recovery.img to the Carliv Port tool folder.
Select manually and then it will prepare the recovery for your device.
It can auto-flash the recovery to the device.
But if it somehow fails, you try to use the SP Flash tool to flash the Carliv Touch Recovery.
Just simply load the scatter file of your device.
Check recovery and browse to the recovery prepared by Carliv Port tool.
Then flash the recovery.
Your problem should solved now.
I recommend after this you to do backup via MTK Droid Tool and prepare it for flash tool.

Im sorry, my bad.
I thought its a media-tek device but it is not.
SP Flash tool and MTK droid tools won't work for your device.
I'l research on the internet and will let you know.

I have finally found a rom. Zip for p3 and i have also created the scatter file using mtk droid tool my device is mt6582.. I dont know how to flash plz help me and guide me step by step...

Okay I can help u surely now.
Do you have custom recovery in your device your device?
If you dont have a custom recovery installed you will obviously need to make one and then flash it.
You need to have the recovery.img of your device.
Download Carliv Touch Recovery Port Tool (Google it).
Extract the files to desktop.
Execute the Carliv Port Tool.
Paste the recovery.img of your device to the required folder.
The port tool will then prepare recovery for your device.
Once recovery is prepared, open SP Flash Tool.
Load the scatter file of your device.
Check the recovery option and then select the recovery prepared by Carliv port tool.
And then flash the recovery.
(read a guide how to flash recovery using sp flash tool for step by step tutorial).
Once recovery is flashed, reboot to the recovery.
Install the zip you mentioned you have for your device.
Now you should be able to boot into your new android system.

I have a gionee p3 n I seem to have softbricked it tryin to flash a ROM on it n now its stuck at the Gionee logo if I power it up. Could u tell me how n wat I dowit it ???

Do you have custom recovery in your device your device?
If you dont have a custom recovery installed you will obviously need to make one and then flash it.
You need to have the recovery.img of your device.
Download Carliv Touch Recovery Port Tool (Google it).
Extract the files to desktop.
Execute the Carliv Port Tool.
Paste the recovery.img of your device to the required folder.
The port tool will then prepare recovery for your device.
Once recovery is prepared, open SP Flash Tool.
Load the scatter file of your device.
Check the recovery option and then select the recovery prepared by Carliv port tool.
And then flash the recovery.
(read a guide how to flash recovery using sp flash tool for step by step tutorial).
Once recovery is flashed, reboot to the recovery.
Install the zip you mentioned you have for your device.
Now you should be able to boot into your new android system.

Would really help to know what files are contained in that ROM.zip file because for SP flash tool, you'll need scatter file and other files like system.img , boot.img etc

I've Gionee P3, I've rooted by using kingroot, and I've installed xposed installer,
And opened it then I open framework andbi clicked ins all/update but it is not correctly installed so I searched on Google how to install xposed installer on Gionee P3, I found one solution that is given in this link:
( I can't put link here) so plz search how to install xposed installer on Gionee P3? And you will see a video....
Now the problem is I've done all procedures on that video finally I opened xposed installer app and clicked install/update, it asked reboot your mobile and I clicked OK, then it reboots but suddenly it shows "Unfortunately Launcher has stopped" I've reset my mobile but still I'm having that problem.. Even I slide down and clicked settings that also shows "Unfortunately settings has stopped" Everything Has stopped on my mobile... So plz help me... How to solve this problem? Plz plz plz help me.... Thank-you....

Try installing xposed again and then uninstall... Do u have cwm installed? @Parthisathish

[HELP] SM-T111 no longer working after rooting and ROM installation

Hello All,
I downloaded the files below and installed on my SM-T111 Tab:
1) T110.TWRP.2.7.0.1.tar.md5 flashed via Odin
2) UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip Installed via Custom Recovery in #1
3) JASBR.v1.0.zip Installed via Custom Recovery #1
Now, I have only access to both download and recovery modes .. I can no longer launch the OS, and use the tab normally. Need help to re-gain access to my tab once more ..

I may be wrong, but Jasbr is for the T-210...unless Gr8nole made a ROM for the T-111 and named it the same. You just need to find a ROM for your device and install it through TWRP. Or download stock firmware from sammobile.com and flash back to stock, reflash TWRP, and then try a different ROM.

I realized that I downloaded the wrong ROM! Silly me .. I'm now downloading Dr.Ketan's ROM .. Hopefully I gain access to my device once more ..

Weird thing .. Installed Dr.Ketan's ROM, yet, it booted as if I didn't do anything!! All my files are there, the stock OS is still there .. No root detected on the device .. So the only thing changed is the Custom Recovery

proper installation ??
Hooe u r wiping cache, dalvik, system bfore flashing.
