It would help to know exactly what error you are getting. Without knowing the details or even which roms you flashed it all would be guesswork for us.

Well, you still haven't said what your first error was. Evervolv calls the inc dives, so that's the one you want. The vivo is a different device. I'd also try updating your recovery to the latest TWRP if you haven't already.

You have a Rom for the incredible, evervolv, and a rom for the incredible 2, cm7. Which is your device exactly? Please be careful and flash ROMs and recoveries for your device. Vivow is incredible 2. Vivos is incredible s.
I saw an assert error but the device codename was missing from your post.

Did you verify the MD5 on your download (if there is any that is...). If you can't find an MD5 to verify, re-download the zip & flash through fastboot.
I encountered the same error yesterday. It means that the file /system/bin/sdcard is different from the stock one. I read somewhere that e.g. franco's kernel used a modified version of /system/bin/sdcard. That means that you have to replace your version with the stock one. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the stock one right now.
Yes, I was using Franco's kernel
BTW, where can I find the stock /system/bin/sdcard version?

Is cwm 6.x can solve this problem?
I attached the stock version of sdcard, just delete the .txt extension. Make a backup of your sdcard file before overwriting and also make sure to set the correct rights (rwx,r-x,r-x) afterward replacing or you will have no access to your sdcard partition (/data/media) until you fix the error.

That error means you do not have the stock kernel installed. For updates to work, EVERYTHING needs to be stock.

Thanks for your information.
I can't find the stock IMM76I kernel. Just find the IMM76D.
May I know where can I get the IMM76I stock kernel?

I've posted a cwm-flashable version in either the "flash" or "update" link in my signature. Otherwise you could extract the boot.img file front the Imm76i factory image on Google's page.

With the stock IMM76I kernel, I'm upgrading to JRO03C now!!
I tried to install a new rom onto my xperia arc s. I followed the instructions and flashed the boot.img and cleared the caches etc. However, everytime I try to install the zip file, the assert failed and status 7 error always shows up. Can anyone guide me through this? Thank you very much.

Hello, i am having troubles flashing CM 10.1 on my SGH-I747M. I know that the phone is the Canadian version even though i live in America.
Whenever I try to flash it in TWRP 2.5.0.0, I get

My bootloader is up to date - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ostcount=13716 , I have done a factory reset prior to flash of Cm 10.1 and Gapps, I am indeed rooted, and I have also tried CWM 5.something, installed through ODIN.
Several of my friends have looked at this and haven't found a solutuion yet.
Thanks
Sounds like it's still a build prop issue. Are you sure you successfully updated the bootloader?
The newest cwm is 6.0.3.1. An older version may cause a failed flash.

You are trying to flash a ROM for the SGH-i747 on the SGH-i747M. Some devs (like CM) block your ability to do that to prevent problems.

Flash just recovery, first reboot in recovery and flash cm12, and skip the rooting process and you will be fine
