I downloaded the latest one from the play store and tried putting a different mod onto the phone. I got the same error.
What version of the Galaxy Nexus do you have? Are you using the right files for your device?

I don't remember. Before flashing CM 11, I didn't touch anything except rooting it by using this guide on android central (sorry, I can't post the link)
I think it will be the original
What exactly did ypu you flash? You can copy the link on your post, just put a few spaces in it. I have a feeling I know what happened but I cant be certain without knowing exactly what you flashed.
Did you ever update by taking any of the OTA's?

I don't consider myself an expert but did you read that post for what you flashed and how it says in big bold red letters DO NOT flash this if you are running latest 4.3.If I can make any assumptions on it you bricked due to flashing a previous bootloader(Doc correct me if I'm wrong..still learning)
Yup. If you flash those MD5 bootloaders on 4.3 you're bricked. You'll need to use the debrick thread stickied in development.
Okay thank you, I will try this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439367
Btw, how can I fix the error "assert failed: getprop("ro.bootloader")" ?
You first need to know what firmware build you are on. Then edit the updater-script and replace one of the ones listed in the assert lines with yours.
Use caution though. There are reasons for these and only fo this if you are 100% certain it is safe to flash.

Problem with CWM and Flashing Custom Roms

Hey guys i need some help. I took out my old Galaxy Grand Duos and thought about rooting it to get Android Kitkat ( I have an International version which has never been rooted before ). I rooted it successfully however I am facing problem with the CWM recovery. When i first installed it I was getting the 'No Command" error. I read on XDA that I need to perform a battery pull in order to get the CWM working. I did that and it worked but it only works when I use odin to flash it. Otherwise when ever I enter recovery I get the 'No Command' error. What should I do?
Secondly im trying to install this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563557 . When i get the CWM working (by flashing it with Odin) there seems to be an error which prevents me from flashing this rom. The message I get is *Cant install this package on top of incapable data. Please try another package or run a factory reset. Error in (the file location and name) (Status 7) Installation aborted*
Thanks in advance

You need to have latest recovery to flash.
Any latest recovery has SE Linux support. Choose latest version or build of your choice from below threads and flash it using your recovery..

Error flashing cyanogenmod 12.1

Okay so i'm having some issues flashing this rom. While installing it tells me that the file im using' lte' is the wrong one for my device and that I should be using wifi. My tab is SMT705 .. i'm very confused, any ideas?
Update
Accidental reply.
You need to install the t700 version of twrp to install the wifi version of cm or remove the assert lines from the updater script.

How comes it won't let im install the lte version of cm when my tablet is lte enabled? Also, this is my first ever time flashing a rom so I don't know what the updater script it.
I tried installing the wifi version of cm, doing what the error said. The installation went a little further but got stuck at 'flashing the image conditionally'

It doesn't matter what your device is, you need to use the right recovery. If you have installed the t700 version of recovery then cm will think your device is a wifi version.
You have to wait at the flashing image conditionally message. Its not stuck, it takes a while for the rom to install, just be patient.

Ok, so as far as I'm aware, the TWRP recovery I'm using covers both t700 and t705. So would you suggest using a different recovery, or just flashing the wifi cm?
Thanks for your help btw

I realise it looks like I'm asking you to do it for me, but even on the TWRP website, it only gives me this option https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxytabs84.html which I believe isnt the t705 recovery.
