Hi, I´m looking for a little help!
I have the xZ1 and really happy with it, bought it unlocked from Sony Mexico, and so far haven´t had any issues at all, all I can say is great phone!
However, with the compact comming out in 3 weeks, in the same plan i already have (In Mexico), I can get it for free, by renewing my contract, and I could sell the Z1, already have a couple of offers for it.
My question is, I know specwise is pretty much the same, but am I gonna miss anything by switching to the compact? The only thing I´m looking for, is to be able to stick it my jeans pocket, which I haven´t been able so far with the Z1...
That´s the only reason, I don´t watch movies at all, I do very little youtube, and when at home, I just stream to my TV, do a lot of emails, and reading, not a lot of web browsing, heavy gaming...so for my every day use, I know I don't have a problem for the smaller screen.
Any comments or suggestions would be, greatly appreciated.

Go for the compact - I'm loving it! The phone performs amazingly, faster than the Z1 apparently! Build quality is great - only thing is the back of the phone is "glass" and scratches very easily, so make sure you get a case - I'd recommend either the Case-Mate Barely There or the Case-Mate Tough Case...

Hey guys, just checked: theres an app called "liveview application" in the market ;-)
So launch shouldnt be too far away
Sent from my 2.1 X10i using XDA App
Are you buying one? If yes could you share the points that you think matters for you to own one?
Thanks
I'm definitely considering buying one, or at least asking for it for Xmas if I don't get around to buying it. I've kind of been wanting to get a watch anyways and this brilliant little device would be a nice watch and great for seeing what messages friends are sending to me while I'm working. I'm also an accessory whore so theres that as well. Why buy a fancy watch when I can get something that connects right to my phone and does much more than tell me the time
If it isn't astronomically priced I would consider getting one. Sony made an older bluetooth watch that is still available on ebay for a fairly high amount though.
I amuse myself with the thought of kids in school being able to check their text messages / social networks from their watch. I would have.
I have one since yesterday but display wont work, battery wont load,so bad.
Send it back.

Yes, it's difficult to get the phone to a backpack when riding the motorcycle.
Tomorrow I get my Liveview . I also think I will have problems with the battery. I will explain.

I'm actually thinking of buying this one too. regarding battery life, right now I have my x10 connected to my mbw-150 and IS800 and so far my phone lasts a day, granted I only wear them when I go out which is like 6 or 7 hours a day.
6 hours are the normal battery time for the liveview device!
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
6 hours battery life is putting it a little low. Got mine since Friday 19th and have been using it since.
The battery holds for about 14 hours with on and off (regular) usage.
But as with all new devices, you'll probably drain that thing dry in about 5-6 hours, since you will be fumbling it all the time.
But as time goes and you'll use it normally, you should see a days worth of usage from the thing.
What concerns me, personally is the stability of the Software.
I don't know, how much is the apps fault (fixable), or that of the device (I've read no mention of it being update-able).
I already wrote SE for a statement on the matter.
As it is now, the device regularly quits working.
It wont go further then showing you the watch (time and date).
Nothing else.
After turning it off and on again, it automatically connects again and works though (taking about 10 seconds and two button presses).
With that behavior it's quite unreliable for notifications (it's main purpose).
I hope, SE can somehow fix that.
Got mine from ldlc.com
work nice.
But I'm a little bit disapointed with my mw600 now. I don't understand why the LiveView can display my contact name and my music title and the mw600 not ....
Dear All Thanks for the application
can anybody post the other 7 applications for live view since i dont have the android market in my x10 mini pro
apprecaite......
Can anybody please provide the updated version of liveview.apk?
Thanks, Sigi

MBW-150????!! i have that watch and i couldnt make it work like should be, its there any apk like in WIMO for it to works???
hey guys,
sorry if this is the wrong section - it seemed to me that it would be the best fit though. please move it, if its wrong.
my sisters iphone 2g got wet yesterday and doesn't function correctly now. she asked me if i could get her a new phone for up to $200. doesn't need to be an iphone, only requirements are gps, camera, facebook, whatsapp, internet functionality. so pretty much any smartphone. brand and software doesn't matter.
i don't know what the market looks like right now, so i thought i might ask people that do. i am pretty happy with my sgs2 and know that there are similar 'little brothers' for much lower prices. do you know which phone has the best price performance ratio?
thanks in advance!
i would take pretty much anything ...
took a look at the samsung gio gts-5660. any recommendations?
I have an Inspire 4g that fulfils all your requirements. please PM if you are interested
Do a lot of people stick with the stock rom as their every day rom ?. I'm not about to ask which rom is best, don't worry
Is this phone easy to sim unlock yourself ?. I had a Galaxy S3 which was very easy to do myself, but i've been searching around and there doesn't appear to be any do-it-yourself method to unlock it. Obviously there are ebay solutions, but i don't really trust that method.
I can buy an unlocked one, but the difference in price between that and a network locked one is quite significant, so i'd rather do it myself if possible.
One point that kept cropping up in all the reviews I was reading last night was that it sometimes does run quite hot, so has anyone found this to be the case ?. I'm not a heavy user at all - primary use will be listening to music while i'm out with some web surfing and occasional gaming.
The reason i'm considering one over a Galaxy S3 is that I managed to drop the S3 down some stairs in my building and it shattered the screen, so i claimed on the insurance and i'm just waiting for the cheque
thanks in advance for your time
your best bet is to ask here mate

Hello members of the Desire Eye forums, I am currently in a debate with myself on getting a new phone.
Currently I have the Nexus 5, I've had the phone for a few years now and absolutely adore it, however it has become quite damaged physically. I had to replace the battery about six or so months ago, along with the glass cracking a few times the actual glass screen has started to lift up from the device itself in the bottom corners.
Checking my account I am able to upgrade to the Desire Eye and it looks like a semi-decent phone, in comparison to my love of Nexus devices, and was hoping that some of you here might be able to list some of the ups and downs of the device.
Should I get this device I do plan on rooting it even if I retain the stock rom. I have a seperate device for all my music/media so no worries there, though it would be nice to hear about those ups/downs as well.
Thanks a bunch in advance, Phaze.
I think only problem i see is camera. But it us beautiful device with sound qualitiy. I am kinda forgot about stock nearly since i bought this device i am using it as rooted. (i think that i dont like camera because of my old lumia 1020 it has really good cam)
Well, in all honesty, I really don't have any cons to tell you. Camera could be the down side although it takes great pics.
It's truly sad that it didn't spark much interest in the general public, because it really is that good. Also, its lack of popularity translates to slow and very little development (we currently have only one active developer and, let me tell you, she is worth gold).
I don't know what are your options, but this phone is a really really great choice. I've had it for over a year and I still like it as much as when I got it and it's still going strong.
Hey anyone still using this bad boy? My screens got some cracks. Anywhere in Australia can get it fixed? Awesome tablet.
I still have it but do not use it too often, just keeping it updated and sometimes play some retro games on it.
Still use it everyday. Bought a Brand New Google Keyboard Cover on eBay a few months ago for real cheap (like $45 lol) and now it's even better. Typing this message on it now.
Thinking of doing a factor reset and starting fresh, but not sure what that would gain me.
I just picked one up used with a keyboard so I will be using it for the foreseeable future. What's the best ROM and kernel?
Use it every day, all day. It's my main Android device. Love it and don't see anything else I'd rather have.
I use it every day. Sometimes a lot. As it ages I have become annoyed that my system decided my battery is ruined and so it throttles the SOC pretty badly below ~80% charge and replacement parts are not really available but other than that it's been pretty good to me. I went through 2 magnetic keyboards and both had terrible key repeating problems but I happened to find the folio keyboard at a thrift store and it's been solid ever since. Wish it had GPS, haptics, better touch screen, and exposed more of its hardware to the /sys folder so I could tweak more things with root but that's the ChromeOS blood showing.
Next time I'll go for max storage though. 32gig was a mistake.

Hey I have the same problem. Been using it for 2-3 years and screen cracks have appeared - don't know how actually. Not found anywhere you can find to repair, regrettably. :crying:
i used mine mostly daily for basic stuff. I have a pixel slate and honestly prefer this. I personally have out I dislike ChromeOS and prefer android. I think its way more versatile.
Use mine all the time. Almost don't use my laptop anymore. Even do word processing on it, Microsoft Word for Android, great program. Very lightweight, comfortable to put on lap, and easily transportable. Not an expert, but as far as I can tell best device that I've noticed even today. Not sure what I'll do when these get too old. Still getting updates from Google. Don't understand how this device didn't get popular. The Google colored line probably should have been in the shape of a G. Hard to tell what brand it is so losing advertising at coffee shops. Search key on keyboard not necessary. Should have been another key, like caps lock. Delete button would have been nice. Has some problems, but overall very nice device and should have been developed. No demand for it I guess for whatever reasons.
I also use mine all the time. Most of the time for basic things like Netflix, reading/annotating pdfs, reading ect. But sometimes also for multitasking, like code reviews and stuff. The best tablet I ever used!
Of course. Nearly every day.
I still use it, bought it as soon as released.

So far as I know a new battery is the only way out of this problem.* Apparently they are out there on the internet to buy. But it looks like the repair is pretty challenging to pull off without breaking the screen.
*Maybe a root solution could be cooked up but the Pixel C does not conform to most other Android systems so pre existing solutions don't often work well.
