[Q] HTC One Rooting Problem - HTC One X

Please Help! I have a HTC One X At&t unlocked phone with lot of issues. I decided to install custom ROM on this phone. I am a newbie in the world of rooting, flashing etc. I follow some directions and I was able to unlock my boot loader then installed twrpv.2.6. I tried to flash one custom rom that I found in web, during flashing twrp give me a message "Your phone is not rooted. You want to flash SuperSu. When I confirm and reboot the system, phone stuck in htc logo screen with white back ground. I guess my phone lacking super user permission. Is there any way I can fix my phone?
I tried to manually put su and other files into this phone but its lacking following directories
system\bin\su
system\xbin
data\local\temp

At&t....does the bootloader say EVITA ? if so you are in the WRONG forum. In that case you need to be in the HTC one XL forum. And please post questions in the Q&A section and not in the general section ! Read more carefully
Edit :
And please get the roms from the specific device xda forum. It's much safer than some rom of the web.....

after rooting it is not necessary to flash a rom, it is necessary if you want to flash custom rom and to install some apps which need root access.
charge fully and try rebooting the mobile & see. check here for your respective rom.

[Q] I would like some help please

If I could , I would like some help. I am new to the Android thing and with a ATT Htc one x , I tried the rooting thing. I successfully got a Viper xl rom on the phone and thought I would try something else. Using the All In One toolkit I downloaded from a link at another forum. I managed to get the phone relocked when trying to get back to the stock rom. Now the PC (windows 7) will not recognize the phone. The AOI will not see the phone. The phone wont connect to the PC. When plugged in either as AC or USB to the computer a screen comes up with FastBoot, Bootloader etc. The phone shows in the device manager but no where else. Using the AOI I can get it to get to a screen that is black with htc in the middle which came from recovery to flash a factory RUU in recovery. But it wont work.
Have I "bricked the phone" or can it be recovered ? If so I would like someone to help me with a guide on what to do. Not that savy when it comes to computers. I can manage to screw things up more than fix things with a PC.

Can you boot normally?
Point 1 : never use something from another forum than the forum from your phone !!!!!!!!
Point 2 : you are in the wrong forum here
Go to the AT&t,rogers,HTC one XL forum and please stay there if you don't want to brick your phone !
(If its not already now)

I thought I was in the HTC one X section here . sorry if I am wrong. The forum I was refering to was for HTC one X. The toolkit I used was for the HTC one x.
Sorry to intrude here. Will go back and do some more searching on the net for help.
Again sorry to make an intrusion here. Some of the information I read was from this forum also.
I want you to be on the safe side with your phone mate, check your bootloader
This forum is for the endeavoru type phone, the AT&T forum is for the Evita type phone. Please check which one you have and direct yourself to the correct forum

how to fix soft brick issue on htc one v (cricket) version

hello so I am kinda new to this forum but i have read that alot of people that are having issues trying to fix their phone after boot loader unlock and rooted phone i notice that alot of the custom roms that are available are for the virgin mobile version of htc one v. unless i over looked it i couldn't find any custom roms for the cricket version of the htc one v and there for i found that because of compatibility issues the phone goes through a boot loop after custom kernel/rom flash via fastboot
so below i have put together my own guide in my own words w/ downloads included on how to fix the boot loop issue with the CRICKET HTC ONE V version of the phone since i really couldn't fine clear and concise instructions and regerdgeitated information that wasn't applicable to the phone although information was useful to read.so i wanna give back to this community and help other who have this similar problem
purpose of guide:
to help those who have htc one v cricket phone
step one
download the CRICKET RUU
start up FASTBOOT enter these commands to lock boot loader
example:
change directory of where you downloaded the fast boot program files via command prompt on a windows machine
CD C:\name-of-fastboot-folder
FASTBOOT OEM LOCK - hit enter
step two
put ur CRICKET htc one in boot loader mode then load the cricket RUU program
follow the on screen instructions to begin restoring your phone to a complete factory state
NOTE: before locking the boot loader go into which ever custom recovery you flashed and do a complete system wipe back up if possible or applicable
this process should take at least 20 min to complete so sit back and grab a coffee or somethin ;D
once finished your phone should be completely restored and back to factory out of the box working conditions - at least these steps worked for me i figured it out by myself.
NOTE:
now if you wanna redo the unlock boot loader again search google or here on the forums to do it
back up your phones and stock roms incase-- as always
root your phone by following the "how to guides" on here
thanks to all who tried to help me with my issue everything is appreciated
DOWNLOADS:
download the CRICKET RUU here
let me know if you guys are having issues downloading the RUU thanks

[Q] Last hope for an HTC one x rooting noob :)

Hello everyone,
I have used you guys in the past for other devices but never needed serious help, so here I am stuck in a looping hell
I have an HTC One X that I am trying to root and install the TWRP (I want to have an android that is factory set without the carrier info and bloatware ect)
The utility I am using is the HTC One X (Tegra 3/International) AIO Kit By Hasoon2000 v2.5. Here is my main issue:
I have successfully navigated all the steps to root the phone (Steps 1-5) and now when I boot into the bootloader I see the following,
***TAMPERED***
*** UNLOCKED ***
evita pvt ship s-on rl
hboot-2.14.0000
radio-0.23a.32.09.29
opendsp-v31.1.0.45.0815
emmc-boot
nov 26 2012,18:37:14:-1
Now from here it was my understanding that under "next, flash a recovery" I would simply pick "TWRP" and then click "flash recovery". This seems to work as the green bar in the top right loads briefly. After that I am at a loss. If I go to "bootloader" then go to "recovery" like the instructions say the phone just restarts and I see the Rogers splash screen again...
If it helps, when I try to flash the recovery using the "clockwordmod" it gives me an error "cannot load recoveries/cwm.img"
So to make this easier all I want is my phone to have nothing to do with the carrier on it, all traces of that wiped off at the single file level if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been at this for almost 6 hours straight
Your phone is not HTC One X International (endeavoru). DON'T flash anything from here or you will brick your phone. You have One X "evita". There is a specific forum at xda for your phone.

You say that you have the middle east version of the phone. When you boot into the boot loader, does it say Evita at the top left or does it say something different?

Bootloader details please. Also, you should check the Evita FAQ thread in my signature, your answer probably lies within.

You have an international HTC One X not an AT&T One XL. You're posting in the wrong forum. I reported your post to be moved.
In the meantime, I strongly suggest reading lots and lots in the threads intended for your device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-x
This forum is for people who want to help themselves, read, understand and then proceed. If you don't want to take the time to learn from the resources made freely available, people will be less inclined to help you.
Moved to the international One X Q&A section
