[Q] Please Help

So my brother rooted his Galaxy s 2 and in every 4.2.2 ROM the phone wont send messages or phone calls and it like loses signal and on the top by the signal bar it says DC. How do you fix it? If any of you guys can help that would be nice. Thanks

what does your baseband says (in about phone)?
you might need to flash a modem/radio file

1- check your APN settings
2- reboot
you might need to flash a newer radio (T989UVMC6)

IMEI number changed Note 2

Hi guys!!
Need your help. I have flashed rom after long time, just change was i have used note 2 toolkit for it and i don;t know what went wrong! now i m not getting registered to my home network.After doing research/ reading come know that my imei must have changed. So checked and my bad luck same thing happened .now NEW IMEI NUMBER is not matching with phone's sticker behind battery.
I think that is the issue causing me not able to connect network.
AM i correct?? if yes then how should i get my IMEI number?
If not then what is problem and how should i solve??
I gave all tries which i can doooooo whole afternoon and evening..but no success..
Please help me out....Thanks!

Thank you very much brother! I have tried this but no success! STill i have same corrupt IMEI and not able to connect to network. just emergency calls only. What is next step I am not sure now...................

hi everyone, ive been trying to diagnose whats wrong with my phone but i have no luck what so ever. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/lg-g3-major-data-problems-t3037059
Im getting pretty sick of using this phone without mobile data because i need it for various things when im on the go. So is there anywhere i can send it out to get it fixed. i talked with lg and they said go to my provider, i talked with my provider and they said go to sprint. well i dont live in the states and dont have a passport so im kinda out of luck. is there anyway i can ship it to lg

do you have an imei code check with *#06# if it shows a bunch of numbers = ok if not your efs partition is corrupted
you can also try and delte lteconfig from /system/app or /system/priv/app

i tried tpying in those numbers and i got nothing? so how do i go about fixing that? and also for deleting lte config do you have to have root access.

go to settings/about phone/status and see if there are 15 numbers under imei(don't typ them here)

There is 15 numbers. so what do you think is wrong with it , because no one wants to service it so now im kinda screwed

did you compaired the imei from phone to the imei under battery and on phone sticker(important that you find imei on stickers and compair it with that)

yes but the thing was it worked fine before. i got data.
but when i started the phone up before it said sprint spark. now when i start it, it just has a lg logo and thats it. does this mean the phone is screwed :/

your phone is only screwed when you give up!!
try getting kdz file with both imeis
here
do not download it shouldn't work for the ls990 but I think you have the wrong version installed so try it

okay so i typed the one under my battery and it came up with lgls990 and said download firmware, when i typed the one in my phone in it came up with a blank screen. so does this mean i have the wrong version?

Does this also happen with a different rom?
I can only think then that is could be a baseband/radio problem

yes it happens , i tried 3 different ROMs
and i tried to change my baseband but still the same problem !

Is your IMEI at the back of your phone the same as you see in the phone info?
If you have conflicting IMEI numbers, you may have a grey market phone..i.e. a network locked phone that was unlocked using an hacked ROM or other method

no, i've changed it with z3x box and now just one SIM is working as i posted in screenshots

The problem is that it has been unlocked in a dogy way.
I never heard of the z3x box.
I have to go check it out and will be back later.
Looks like an interesting box.
But very dangerous if you don't know how to use it.
I see that z3x has a repair function for restore damaged imei to original only.

Hello! I upload a capture of all the errors. I'm very interested in solving the IMEI. Thanks for your help!

On stock firmware does it show a correct IMEI?
If so, the problem is random flashing.
Do you have backup of the .cert and or .efs files?
If so, search on how to use them.
If you know the IMEI and it is network blacklisted, use a service for unlocking it. Online you can find it.

Hi. Thanks for your answer. In all the firmware I do not have IMEI (unknown). And I do not have a copy of .cert or .efs

I don't know if it helps, but when I flashed a Combination for my phone, when i had an unknown IMEI, it showed me one working and network working too but I don't know if you can make use of that IMEI or even if it is valid.
And solved my unknown IMEI just by flashing last stock rom.
If you have your phone rooted, you can extract those files via adb, plenty of tutorials online.

The combination "os" is not a full os, is like a test one, so i would not recommend you to install it.
Here you can find it, the page need you to be registered and to pay for a fastest download, none the less, it can be downloaded without paying but it is a little bit slower

Slide the upper menu and get to config, in device info or something you should find an IMEI and you probably have noticed that the phone is connected to the network, or that was what was shown to me.

Hm what is left is just to flash stock, keep it in a wifi connection 168 hours and then flash twrp for rooting the phone and getting those files, lets hope they are not corrupted.
The waiting it is because samsung have seven days as the time.for the bootloader to be unlocked and allowing the phone to be modified.
