Im getting pretty sick of using this phone without mobile data because i need it for various things when im on the go. So is there anywhere i can send it out to get it fixed. i talked with lg and they said go to my provider, i talked with my provider and they said go to sprint. well i dont live in the states and dont have a passport so im kinda out of luck. is there anyway i can ship it to lg

do you have an imei code check with *#06# if it shows a bunch of numbers = ok if not your efs partition is corrupted
you can also try and delte lteconfig from /system/app or /system/priv/app

i tried tpying in those numbers and i got nothing? so how do i go about fixing that? and also for deleting lte config do you have to have root access.

did you compaired the imei from phone to the imei under battery and on phone sticker(important that you find imei on stickers and compair it with that)

yes but the thing was it worked fine before. i got data.
but when i started the phone up before it said sprint spark. now when i start it, it just has a lg logo and thats it. does this mean the phone is screwed :/

your phone is only screwed when you give up!!
try getting kdz file with both imeis

do not download it shouldn't work for the ls990 but I think you have the wrong version installed so try it

okay so i typed the one under my battery and it came up with lgls990 and said download firmware, when i typed the one in my phone in it came up with a blank screen. so does this mean i have the wrong version?

So I have a Telus I747M (Canadian) and I used ROM Manager to get CWM 6 on my phone. The thing is that I chose the Metro PCs version and I installed it. Now I have no signal at all. I flashed the firmware back to the stock telus one via USB and Odin. Still no service, anything to do now?
are you sure you flashed the right stock rom? Stupid question but it's always best to check. And did you get your phone from Metro or did you unlock it?

go to about setting ->status, does it say Metro PCs(if you're on metro pcs) under Network?

Try flashing any rom (like Cyanogenmod) and then use any of the many methods to re-unlock your phone to Metro and see if that helps.

If your IMEI shows 0, no amount of flashing will help you. You must restore you IMEI to have data working again. If you backed up your IMEI or EFS folder your set, just restore it.

Hi, Thanks for helping me. I have not backed up the IMEI and do not have EFS. I have tried those instructions and I have one problem. I cannot find my phone in the "COM" Ports. There's simply nothing there related to my phone.

You need the Samsung keis drivers. You can get them by installing Samsung Keis.

Did you make sure you put your phone into RMNET +DM + MODEM mode before trying to find your phone in the COMs?

The data is slow now even after showing 4g connections. Sometimes the data shows its on but there's no connection at all. Any help? The speeds show 1mbps download and .2 for upload on 4g.

Great reply, but yeah, I'm left with the same problem of slow connectivity. Same problem as linked post, and followed his process to the letter. Oh well, spent most of my Sunday trying to fix this. As long as I can make calls and transceive texts, that'll have to do.

Well if you have problems still and the imei is back, I don't see why there's anything wrong with taking it to the store to get it checked out.

I am in the same boat. Slow connection, rarely actually works. Had lost my imei, but restored it with the NV whatever.. Saved my QCN using QPST, then tried to use QCN restorer app, and am getting an error occurred blah blah.
I brought it in to AT&T yesterday, had a full restore completed and new sim card installed... no luck. guess i will keep trying stuff until its either bricked or back to normal haha

Is your SIM card put in properly?
Did you pay your bill to your phone carrier?
If you did the above, do this:
1. Can you please tell us which build you are on (B125? B111? International or Chinese?)
2. And can you tell us which carrier you are with?
We need answers to 1 and 2 in order to help you.

Settings>About Phone>Status and then check the IMEI number
or go to the phone dialer and dial:

and see if the number is shown or post whatever output you get from that...

Is your IMEI at the back of your phone the same as you see in the phone info?
If you have conflicting IMEI numbers, you may have a grey market phone..i.e. a network locked phone that was unlocked using an hacked ROM or other method

The problem is that it has been unlocked in a dogy way.
I never heard of the z3x box.
I have to go check it out and will be back later.
Looks like an interesting box.
But very dangerous if you don't know how to use it.
I see that z3x has a repair function for restore damaged imei to original only.

I've quite literally done everything. Step by step following the original root method. Everything goes fine until send command is involved. My phone's ports are showing COM1 and COM3. Neither is listed as "DIAG" like the instructions say.
I'm running 5.1 now not 6.0.

open the folder when in download mode... and click on port.bat whats does it says on DIAG1 ?? on mine its says COM15 ON DIAG1 so for example use 15
Send_Command.exe \\.\COM15 so what ever says on yours thats the number you need to place

That's just it. There is no DIAG port. there's serial0 and something else. It used to show com5 for DIAG but now DIAG is gone.

I can try that tomorrow. What if it's phone related? Only reason I ask is because it showed the DIAG port before I reverted to 5.1 lol. So it could be phone related. But I followed instructions. Used the Rogers image so I didn't lose my VoLTE feature. Everything on that end went off without a hitch.

Hello, I am having issue with my Moto G5 all of a sudden. The Network is lost, showing no sim card error and also the IMEI is valued to 0. I've tried many possible solution provided on xda and various forums but still no luck. Please help..:crying:

Update the phone if they is any. Unlock the bootloader. Install twrp 3.2.1. then 3.2.1 64 bit twrp. Install pixel experience ROM and you should then have the IMEI back.
I already have unlocked bootloader, I was using Oreo Custom Rom Firehound.
But watching over the forums I installed twrp 32 bit then again installed 64 bit and then again reverted back to twrp 32 bit.
Which version of pixel? Android nougat or Oreo?
i had the same problem, but i must to changed the motherboard, now is like new one

Yeah after you lose your IMEI you won't get 4g back! But I'll have 3g which is still fast! But not as fast ?

Yeah after you lose your IMEI you won't get 4g back! But I'll have 3g which is still fast! But not as fast ?

Not too sure buddy. Everything I tried just reverted the IMEI back to 0
I can use 3G data but can't call or receive calls/texts
anyone know what to do about that one?

No idea with that one..... My IMEI went to 0 but I could recover it.. but I can receive calls and texts.

I went to stock, did the IMEI fix
went to a custom 7.1 rom hoping maybe that would fix 4G for some reason
lost signal and IMEI
went to Android 8, no signal or IMEI
went back to stock no signal or IMEI
did the fix
still IMEI 0 and not able to make calls or text
