[REQUEST]AOSPA 4.0+ for VZW HTC One - Verizon HTC One (M7)

I'm hoping that someone wants to take up the task of porting AOSPA 4.0+ from the GSM One to us Verizon variants.

Download the zip. Unpack it. Delete the getprop portion of the updaterscript. Flash it and see what happens. The mount points match our vzw...should work.

I could try doing it, I used to back in the samsung stratosphere days. lol
Don't expect anything special.

I'm surprised that you haven't tried it yourself. You've been in the community longer than many of us, and have a pretty large collection of devices it seems. Not trying to be sarcastic at all. Just figured you might try porting it yourself, for your use; and if it rocks you could always share it with us. Good luck! You can do it!!:good:

If it was an Xperia Play, it would have been ported in an instant.
Still learning quite a bit and have given it a few attempts.
So far, I can boot it up and everything else works fine, but can't get a signal.
I also don't have the same amount of free time I used to

I've got a couple builds of this here somewhere.
If I can find them and they run like I remember, maybe I will post one up.
I just recall building it and thinking, this sure is pretty vanilla for PA.
In other words, it's pretty basic stock Kitkat right now, with very few extras.
But like I said, if I can find it and it runs like I remember, maybe I will post it up, or maybe it's time I make a fresh build.
Will have to see what kind of time I have...lot going on right now or I would say I will post for sure.
I've also got an IOAP build I was considering posting if there is interest in such a thing...

No, but it would be much appreciated! Maybe we can get the themers over in Android Themes to get it going?
I'd like to play with it but I couldn't find a leak of it.
The infinite home screen with expandable pods looks really interesting. Check out the Engadget video:

Someone port this (GridOS) and Meego!
If someone could find me a dump of the files I'd have a go at it. I can't seem to find anything.

Ditto. I searched a lot for a leak.
ditto, no luck finding one either.
The best we could hope for is that one of the joojoo early adopters posts a dump. Anyone who bought the joojoo gets a grid10 for free. Not sure if the tablet/phone versions are similar.

That's probably close to impossible. But since GridOS runs an Android Kernel, more possible.

I would highly doubt it. If they wanted more open source, then they could just skin Android, instead of creating a new OS (albeit based off Android)

It doesn't hurt to ask! My P.S. was "send me the source or a system dump please."
I doubt they're going to open source it, looking at the CEO's comments on android and apple. I do hope we can get it on our incredible somehow though.
I've got a Grid10 (GridOS is still pretty buggy)
I would love to dump it so everyone could take a stab at porting it, but the device doesn't have a standard USB port. They want $30 for a proprietary USB adapter.

[Dev][WIP] Jellybean 4.1 port for Nexus S 4G [Fixed boot issues]

Hello everyone! Finally a little bit less tired to the point where I can finally update the OP. First of all, I spent a couple hours on this. I've been up all night so this wasn't my favorite thing to do. Please be grateful instead of annoying about it. ^^
Now, we can move on to the good stuff.
What works:
Boots up
ADB
Butter
System in general
What doesn't work:
Wifi
Cell radio
probably MMS because well, when the hell doesn't it break?

[Q] Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombie - Doesn't Work

As the title says, all my other Android games work flawlessly on this device. Black Ops Zombies does not work. It will load the levels and has graphical glitches. It also works on all my other Android devices. Does anybody else have this problem or know of a solution?
Even the Android Market says it's not compatible with my A100 on the left where it lists all of my devices. So does it just not work with our tablet? I've read online where people said they had it working and i've seen screenshots of ROMS where Black Ops Zombies was installed...

Ill give you a hint, if you play it on a device listed as incompatible, and it doesn't work, then maybe its not compatible with the device?
Otherwise consider chainfire and some testing to see if you can get it going.

Well first off, you don't have to be an asshole. I'm not stupid. I was simply asking a question based on bits and pieces of information I have been given and I wanted an answer from other people who use this tablet as to whether they have gotten this game to work or not. It's really simple as that. You must not have read what I posted in it's entirety.
I am well aware that the A100 is listed as a non-compatible device. But like I said, I have seen ROM screenshots for this tablet showing Black Ops Zombies installed and have read elsewhere that it is reported to be working on this device. I have messed around with Chainfire 3D to see if I could get it to work with no avail, I was simply wanting to know the experience of other users with this tablet trying to play the same game. Your Condescending tone isn't need. Take your negativity somewhere else.
Isn't that what these forums are for? To ask questions and to gather knowledge if you are uncertain about something?

You didn't mention it was for the a100, just that it was working, that could mean it works on the nexus 7. Sorry you took my posting of the obvious as being an ahole, but not sure why the name calling needed to be done, I didn't call you stupid for the stupidity of the posting you did, and I did offer some advice which you could have mentioned as having already been tested, a good thing to remember for any posting about needing help, list what you've tried. May also want to mention which roms you have tried this game on and if they all have the same error or issues. Some games may not get along with JB but work with ICS, or maybe even HC is better. As its a newer game my money would be on JB, but of course testing would be needed.
But I'm an ahole so don't mind my suggestions and instead call me names, go on a rant and ignore any advice given. Again.
Reminded, once again, of why I left this community. Good luck with the game, hope you figure it out.
Edit: nevermind, beyond what was needed. Like the rest of the post.

I'm highly interested in seeing what can come of this. i also wonder if dastin or any other E4GT developers are going to try and get it running on our devices.
Seeing what Cyanogen has been doing recently with licensing contributed code and attempting to monetize it really is refreshing to see these devs who have done so much for the entire Android community come together and try and pick up the pieces, and put the community first and foremost.
They have actually added a thread for the ROM already (in Custom ROM Central) with Q&A and General, it also has a Feature Development section... They are going fully open with it and I think that is awesome. They already have an impressive list of features like multi window and multi workspace. I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on what's going on there.
Here is the feature request page-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2481825
I just finished reading up on it and saw something about multi app windows for aosp I was mind blown!
I haven't made any announcements yet but I'm going to look at this for the Sprint S4.
Slick_rick is already working on it for the N2 so it's the best place for me to start on it.
Might as well get ChameleonOS back on track too.
Unfortunately, Omni will not be available for our device until they can incorporate the support for unified kernels. I tried and failed miserably lol.

That's correct, loving this phone for over 2 years now, it can change looks in minutes, it calls, texts, takes great pics and does everything a newer phone does, but a bit slower. I can live with that...

Damn that would almost tempt me to root again. But not for Pay and banking. We need a phone that is shipped with the bootloader unlocked and rooted. Then if you try to lock it or unroot you get a warning that your apps won't work now. Then you wake up.

Oh paranoid android will come to our device alright! It just won't be supported for more than like an update like always. Everytime I switch to PA they abandon it. Funniest part is they usually JUST released it to. Extremely hard pass from me, but don't let ME stop you. Just don't tell me I didn't warn you when they cease development very quickly.

Lmao you're right though I'm not falling for the hype anymore. It seems they just do it for likes , shares and donations cuz for the like the last few years they'll announced a new version when the next Android os drops then after a build or 2 they go missing again for a whole year or 2 and leave us in the dust I'm good!
yeah i stayed away as its not guaranteed to be updated all the time
my go to custom ROMs are AOSIP or Havoc but neither are developing for P6 I think. But Proton does look like it could be good also.
Agree with the commenters here; Paranoid Android is no longer reputable (and hasn't been in many years). ProtonAOSP, Lineage, AOSIP, and a bunch of other mainstream ROMs will officially support the P6 so it is absolutely not worth messing with PA.
I'd like to add "but" the more developers working on the P6P the better for everyone, even if one group's stuff isn't up to snuff. At least, as long as they share information when appropriate, which the best developers do, in my opinion.

Yeah, development on the P5 was severely lacking but on the P6 and the P6P many more people have it in their hands. Unfortunately, I don't root any longer but I like to see the tweaks and new stuff the devs come up with. (I actually rooted my P5 and loaded a rom before rolling it back before I sent it in for trade-in) Specifically kernel tweaks which are usually drastically needed. Nonetheless, it's a good start as you say.
