From this article it seems to be the anti-cm ROM
http://m.androidauthority.com/omnirom-new-custom-rom-android-283136/
Some pretty well known devs building it.

I wouldn't call it anti-CM, but it sounds pretty cool... Especially with those devs working on it.

I'm highly interested in seeing what can come of this. i also wonder if dastin or any other E4GT developers are going to try and get it running on our devices.
Seeing what Cyanogen has been doing recently with licensing contributed code and attempting to monetize it really is refreshing to see these devs who have done so much for the entire Android community come together and try and pick up the pieces, and put the community first and foremost.
They have actually added a thread for the ROM already (in Custom ROM Central) with Q&A and General, it also has a Feature Development section... They are going fully open with it and I think that is awesome. They already have an impressive list of features like multi window and multi workspace. I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on what's going on there.
Here is the feature request page-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2481825
I just finished reading up on it and saw something about multi app windows for aosp I was mind blown!
I haven't made any announcements yet but I'm going to look at this for the Sprint S4.
Slick_rick is already working on it for the N2 so it's the best place for me to start on it.
Might as well get ChameleonOS back on track too.
Unfortunately, Omni will not be available for our device until they can incorporate the support for unified kernels. I tried and failed miserably lol.

I don't think it was cm/kernel related, I'll have to see if I can track it down again, but I'm pretty sure it was on their end that would botch something. Going on the hunt for it now lol.

With as many roms here, you can have a new phone every week if you want
e4gt
That's correct, loving this phone for over 2 years now, it can change looks in minutes, it calls, texts, takes great pics and does everything a newer phone does, but a bit slower. I can live with that...

Can someone please explain this to me on how a CRICKET phone got a working ICS update and we don't. Come on now Huawei. This is a damn shame. The Galaxy Nexus is not released here in the states and some rinky dink phone got ICS. WTF! And now I see why Apple is kicking ass.

Oh for christ sakes, you really felt the need to create a new thread for this? Your a god damn troll, you know that? There are developers actively working on CM7 which will eventually lead to CM9 and ICS on this phone. If you are impatient, get another phone. Read the forum rules and do some searching and quit your god damn whining.
You little 10 year olds and your demands for everything are getting on my last effin' nerve on this board. GTFO!
For one it's a demo build so it's not complete. Sure they have one but in all honesty what did they have to leave out or what's not working without having major issues. As it says it's a DEMO which we have phones already in the xda community that have this also already. Not a big deal.
Dude chill even when we do get ics a ton of apps are not even updated for it yet. I rather have all my apps working and no Los.

Lots of more important things going on in the world let your fart in the wind ICS anger go.
Come on - really? Do we really feel the need to rant and complain? I know you love your device - but why do you have to do this?

Hello everyone! Finally a little bit less tired to the point where I can finally update the OP. First of all, I spent a couple hours on this. I've been up all night so this wasn't my favorite thing to do. Please be grateful instead of annoying about it. ^^
Now, we can move on to the good stuff.
What works:
Boots up
ADB
Butter
System in general
What doesn't work:
Wifi
Cell radio
probably MMS because well, when the hell doesn't it break?

Whats going xda users and devs!
I've always wondered how our phones would run MIUI, since our phones have the best potential and 2 gb of ram, that makes me think that the resources hungry MIUI will run fantastic in the GS3. Any of you devs have plans to port for us?

My guess is that it's probably in the works. Everybody is really focused on cm10 right now so I would imagine when that dies down a little bit we'll start seeing more of miui and other roms.
I think the fact that there is already a MIUI rom for the international GS3 would make easier to port for our D2tmo. We are a bit behing in rom options in comparison with other US variants. No rush intended tho, just wanted to bring up the interest of us tmo users for something diff and because I haven't seen any request for this either
+1, would love to see an MIUI ROM on this phone

Yeah I'm pretty much dying without a Miui port. I used Miui constantly on my HD2 and I had some really nice themes going on, very minimalistic and sexy. I've actually been considering switching back to my HD2 for the time being just so I can get back to miui, haha.
I want to get into theming, and I was wondering if anyone could point me in a general direction on how to do so, i.e. any programs/tutorials i might need?

I would love to take the time to learn as well. I use to theme for my blackberry curve years ago and there were some nice tools to make it easy to compile them after completion. I have not taken the time to research the tools needed to theme for android yet and if some one posts up some links I would love to get started as well. If not I will probably be looking into it when I get a couple of days open to dive into it. Hope someone can help you out JehC, maybe if you get it down you can pass your knowledge on to me.
Well of course I will, I'm always open to helping people

Download the zip. Unpack it. Delete the getprop portion of the updaterscript. Flash it and see what happens. The mount points match our vzw...should work.

I've got a couple builds of this here somewhere.
If I can find them and they run like I remember, maybe I will post one up.
I just recall building it and thinking, this sure is pretty vanilla for PA.
In other words, it's pretty basic stock Kitkat right now, with very few extras.
But like I said, if I can find it and it runs like I remember, maybe I will post it up, or maybe it's time I make a fresh build.
Will have to see what kind of time I have...lot going on right now or I would say I will post for sure.
